Overlanding Australia on a motorcycle. The beginning of our RTW trip - Ep. 1

- A highlight reel from our 2 weeks overlanding Australia.
We have been on the Road since the beginning of December 2018. Started in Sydney and hoping to finish in London around September 2019. All we have are our 2 Suzuki DR650s. This is Episode 1 of our little adventure.
Australia... A massive country with stupidly long stretches of straight roads. But there is so so much more to it than that. We jam packed in a lot into our first 2 weeks of this adventure of ours. Wild camping in the snowy mountains, sunrises at The 12 Apostles, sunsets at Uluru. Hanging out with old and new friends. This is just a little highlight reel of our action packed time.
Enjoy

Awesome trip! I'm sharing this with as many riding buddies as will listen to me!
That would be awesome mate, seriously I really appreciate it. We're clearly doing something wrong as struggling to get infront of new people. The next Kyrgyzstan video should be out on the weekend and its going to be an eventful one. Thanks again for your help
Looking good guys! Excited to see more videos.
Tanks mate, I have watched loads of your vids too. We are actually running with the motoz tractionator gps tyres. Got around 8000km out of them, the back will need replacing soon but only because of the Stuart highway and 45 degree heat
Just found this. Cool!
Just got a DR and found your channel on the interwebs. Totally looking forward to the rest of the vids!
Thanks for putting in the work to share this with others!

New subscriber. Great footage and editing. Looking forward to more.
Steven Pelayo thanks mate. Should have the next ep out soon
Hi Guys, looks like a really interesting trip, so I've Liked/Subscribed/Bell and look forward to your next Episode....Good Luck, Paul.
Hi Yarro, thanks for your support. We are back onto editing and hope to get one video out a week. Would love to hear some feedback as we're trying to grow the channel
Just subscribed last night, binge watching your adventures now :) You are a little lean on your hashtags if i may say so. While you are not riding Harleys, tagging it and the PanAm for instance might open up a whole new subscriber pool to you. Same for Honda and Africa Twin, BMW blablabla, etc. Generally, i think adventure riders are rather interested in the journey and not so much into what specific bike you ride. Just my .02$ :) Ride safe 🤙
This is amazing, I just subscribed
Thanks Douglas
Go well son
You are not good at filming stuff?
Uhhh, please!!!!
I love your video!!
Wow, the younger he gets the more he resembles "Daniel Craig". I have a resemblance to Sloth on the movies... "Goonies."
How are you editing on the road? :) Great stuff!
following with interest , hoping to achieve something like this in the next few years .. keen to see what gear you are using … and if it works for you :)
No worries mate we plan to do a few videos like that very soon. What gear are you interested in? Bikes, bike clothing, camera setup, luggage, camping gear etc?
@@Northandleftabit all of the above 👍
Hey you Guys, have you arrived meanwhile? I Love your Videos! Can and I enjoy the music you add a Lot too. Can you Put a list of the music or artists you used for your Films? Thanks a Lot!
No mention of the real hero's, What motorcycles and why that make?
Darwin to Dili, how did you ship your bike and how much was it? brilliant Vid guys, thanks for sharing.
Hi Iwan, I think we go into some of the detail in our east Timor video but happy to answer any questions you might have.
Hey guys! Glad I found you, me and my mate are in early stages of planning and we leave in a month (last minute). Any advice on getting the bikes to either surabaya or Singapore? Will be following your adventure the whole way! Cheers!
Hi mate, we actually just tool local ferries through Indonesia and skipped Singapore as its quite tricky. We entered Malaysia on borneo and for us it was a great idea and really interesting. We hope to have a new video out soon. Are you also travelling Aus to Europe?
North and Left a Bit yeah mate, just watched all your videos in to the night. Great vids. Helped a lot. Was planning on it but borders will be tricky atm due to coronavirus I believe. So maybe delayed a bit unfortunately. Still keen to see your journey!
Great content! Many thanks!
Just wanted to ask if a Honda crf450L would be a good bike to ride around Australia?
To be honest, I haven't ridden the crf450L. I have heard the US version has a bit more grunt than the Aussie one. Either way, I think it's the perfect size bike for a trip around Australia. Not the most fun on the boring freeways, but great when you get on the dirt. Check out this guy's video where he went from the UK down to Morocco on one. Pretty sure the UK specs are the same as AUS

Do you only use your phones for navigation? Offline google pre downloaded areas when you have wifi?
hello how did you manage to go to the island of Timor leste with your motorcycles? Thanks
Uploada again mate
Can you please tell a bit more about how did you get your bikes shipped to Dili and how much it costed.
Hi mate sorry for the delay.
We used ANL logistics and it cost roughly $900 each which was a little steep but not many ways around it unfortunately
How did you get your bike to Dili?
Dire music ruins your video.
Cheers for the feedback mate, sorry it's not to your taste
@@Northandleftabit No bother mate, gotta say the music improved a wee bit after the first post.
Too much overloud so called 'music' is in most t.v.shows and posts these days. Only speaking for myself but it really is getting intrUribe and bloody annoying.😱
Let your cameras and voice tell your story?🍻🌞
