I worked for several Rolls Royce and Bentley garages as an apprentice mechanic from 1960 right through to running my own business in 1984 onwards and during that time I witnessed the very pinnacle of perfectionism and on the other side of the spectrum the , shall we say, not quite the required standard, and I’m here to say that watching your video, your establishment is right up there with the very best. As Snap On say, “the quality remains long after the price is forgotten”. Well done !
Thank you so much I do try. Please let me know if you would allow me to do a video with you and your history with these cars. I love to have “other” people talk of their knowledge.🇬🇧
Great RR videos James, nice your helping owners with the knowledge they need. Talk about knowledge The Park Ward place is like an encyclopedia of RR & Bentley's will give you a PHD, hang around there as much as you can it will be exciting and fun.
I look forward to seeing it. One question I would like to ask, is it difficult to add red piping to black seats? Also if one wanted to change the top part of the leather covering around the dashboard,is it practically possible? Thanks@@rolls-royceandbentleybuyer8409
I only know how to start a car and how to fill them with gasoline. Rodd is who would go to buy a Turn Key Runner. Costs a little more, but.... Nice video
Rodd Sala is awesome. He knows more about the Silver Shadow era cars than Rolls-Royce itself. He carries only great cars there. I’ve known him for many years, and one of my Rolls-Royce’s come from him.
I would only purchase a 79 Shadow. I would only pay up to 28k…Why, because the lines, the hoses, all the things outside the motor, staters, steering pumps, brakes and other thing as such.👍🇬🇧
Yes but not in the way it used to be in the hay day of the ‘60’s-80’s. Once Rolls was taken over by BMW and Bentley to VW, all the “VINTAGE” cars are not dealt with.🇬🇧
@@rolls-royceandbentleybuyer8409 Please don't comment on things you know nothing about. Crewe never had a restoration division however the London Service Centre did offer that service although the vast bulk of their work was basic work on new cars. LSC closed down long before VW/BMW came on the scene. The only additional service offered at Crewe was Special Features where new cars were fitted with options that fell outside legal requirements for new car sale. To make this legal, cars had to be sold and registered in the name of the owner requesting them. I know of one car that spent three years in SF and had to be MOT tested before the car was delivered to the owner.

"As Snap On say, “the quality remains long after the price is forgotten”. Would you care to guess where Snap On stole that from?
Great collaboration of two very passionate individuals of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Great presentation, James.
👍🇬🇧
Rodd Sala is awesome. I wish I could ship my Arnage to him for a thorough run through. But the time is not now.
I am sooo glad to have my Machanic Josh, no more than 10mins away from me.👍🇬🇧
Lots of complaints on technical forums suggest you should find someone better.
Thanks for showing Park Ward... what an operation... book matching.... wow!
Thanks!👍🇬🇧
Why wow? This is a standard technique that predates cars.
@@byteme9718what’s wrong with you ? give it a break already dude and chill

I my opinion: Rodd has the Best job in the world.....he goes to work, to restore Rolls-Royces !!
“You got that right!” It’s like being a kid in a candy store!👍🇬🇧
Sala is just an ignorant con man. His bullshit is so evident in this video as be bluffs his way through making so many incorrect comments.
Attention to detail is the key, great video!
I try. Thank-You so much. New videos coming this month.🇬🇧

It depends on who you have do it. The short answer is “YES.” As far as the leather on the console, it also can be replaced.🇬🇧

Hi James, call me at (757) 592-9254 EST.👍🇬🇧
Great video and great to see your health is Good..
Thanks so very much!🇬🇧
Please I beg you, cut the background music. It’s really annoying and covers the voices on the video. I love your videos. Thanks
Will do…!👍🇬🇧
Park Ward Motors id probably the best supplier of vintage RR cars, particularly of the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Absolutely, but as always you must inspect any vintage car you seek to buy. “ZTRUST” no one.👍🇬🇧
45K for Silver Shadow in beautiful shape as those cars in the video , is great value if you ask me …

Does the factory at Crewe have a division doing restoration?

No

I would have hated to be the chauffeur for whoever ordered a whole dashboard in the rear, they must have been real control freaks!
You are more than likely right!!🇬🇧
Nice video, but the music is spoiling it
Yes, found out after fact.👍🇬🇧

The amazing thing about Sala is how after many years of working with these cars he's still so monumentally ignorant of everything.
This black man did not have anything about his "business". He is a typical Yankee storyteller !!!
Thank-You. This “Yankee” hopes you keep watching!👍🇬🇧
