  • The Vegetarian Moussaka with Mushrooms Sauce Recipe is a super delicious wholesome dish that is packed with the goodness of mushrooms and the creaminess from the bechamel sauce. Moussaka is a classic recipe from the Greek Cuisine that is usually made with meat, but this grilled and roasted eggplants baked in mushroom sauce makes a scrumptious vegetarian version.

    Recently subscribed to Archana's kitchen mailer and videos and absolutely love what she churns out.. No frills, no fancy trimmings.. Just great easy to try absolutely delicious treats. My son loved the moussaka and am waiting to try my hand at the rest.

    I've done Greek moussaka with some shredded chicken
    My God. It was so good. Taste amazing like lasagna but without lasagna. So I can try this vegan type cz my dad is fully vegan.

    Love this! Have made it five or six times now, and added my own spices for a twist. Make it most often when I have vegetarian guests over who are used to Indian vegetarian dishes and would like a change!

    I have made moussaka and I’m Greek American . This is a very different recipe. The béchamel usually goes on the top of the moussaka not in the middle . The tomato sauce in the middle and béchamel on top .

    It looks amazing...but what if we dont have oven or otg to bake the mousaka at the end...whats the remedy for that...TIA

    Hi, First of all I enjoy watching your videos( I am a film editor) .Secondly This recipe looks so rich with flavors and deliciouse ! I'm going to make it once I get all the ingredients .I love mussaka...I also like the titles that pop up and shows amounts 1/4 cup so on..I made your recipe of the tofu sandwich with the mustard and it was wonderful. Next will be that one ..Thank you ....

    Lovely recipe....however,a pinch of nutmeg powder,the essence of a Moussaka, is missing.....it gives a touch of Greece in the Moussaka.

    bechamel goes in top .......tomato sauce in the middle.......real Greek ....
