BEFORE CLOSING THE DOOR MAKE SURE you test the LOCK knob and the interior handle both operate properly by hand and by key fob. When you place back the end of the two cables, you must put them back in a specific lock knob position (in the open position if all doors are unlocked) to make sure both cables are engaging the right way into the lock knob (one cable pulls to release the knob, the other pushes to lock it). Otherwise, you will close the door and notice the lock knob is stuck and you will not be able to open the door again both from outside and inside handles and the lock knob will be stuck - if this happens to you, you need to cut the inner handle piece to access the cables from inside, pull the cable that would have released the lock knob, open the door, remove the panel, unscrew and replace the inner handle assembly piece with a new one.
Assuming there's enough room to move it to the side, like to change the speaker, you wouldn't need to disconnect the cables, but good tip. Hyundai loves complicating things.
