I was intimidated by the appearance of this bumper when the first one came into the shop. Was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was and legitimately enjoyed the install.
Do you sell pre cut off I would like to do it myself. I been watching video on UA-cam and got all the tool for it. And watching your video I feel confident to do it myself. I like do just like you did only the front.
Thanks for this very detailed video, I do vinyl wraps for a living since 2011 but never done any ppf so I have some questions for you, is there a special soap or gel that you recommend and in which proportion as well as the tack or lock solution, a friend of mine want me to protect his C8 front end but I really don't want to mess up the pre cut kit he just bought, is the same xpel material you used on this vette, with a bit of advice from you I think I can pull the job up for him nicely, big thanks in advance and again great video
Something that has been showing up more often than not is ceramic coatings on vehicles. The last few customers failed to warn us that they have it on their vehicle before the job. We ask every customer before the appointment but some don't even know that it's on their vehicle. Can you do a video on what to do if you encounter a vehicle that has it, and what you do to mitigate it before you film it?
Great job. This seems like it’s an hour long process. A local installed said to drop my car off overnight for install, seems excessive from what you just posted.
Can you see up close the film? Or is it pretty much invisible? I'm undecided if I should get the film on the from part of the car and lowersides or just do the ceramic coating.
Hello Thank you so much for helpful video, I have a very important question I just did the fender but a lot of bubbles under film but I really work a lot to remove everything but it didn't work 😔 can you help me
Nice job. From what I've read and heard, a total PPF wrap on a Corvette runs around $5k. I just don't understand why so much? Let's assume 3-4 hours labor, plus the cost of the PPF. How much could the film cost? I just can't justify a cost of around $5k for this work. I could see maybe $2k for complete wrap. And unless you really abuse your car and get a lot of scratches and rock chips, the sale value would never justify how much you paid for the wrap. A few normal use wear and tare marks would never devalue a car by $5k IMO.
3-4 hours is enough time to prep the car for full body PPF without polishing.... full body ppf with wrapped edges and paint correction will take ~35 hours minimum.
That’s why it doesn’t make sense to full body wrap a cheap car (if u are thinking in terms of resale). To me it only makes sense on a car that’s above 200k and might be appreciating. For lower values cars like the c8 pple do front end only or partial hood/roof and ceramic the rest to seal the finish
I just did a full ppf wrap on an MX-5 Miata. Some people just like to keep their paint in perfect condition. Working on a 79 corvette right now. Definitely a challenge if you can imagine 😆
The local place charges $10,000 for a full wrap on a new C8 Stingray, ZO6's are even more. They do 1 a day. Ceramic is an additional $2,500. $k is cheap. You decide if its worth it. We recommend front, hood, front fenders and mid door down, A pillars, and mirrors. They do that for 4k plus ceramic charge. They use very good 10 yr film.
You can drive the vehicle normally immediately after the install. Just don't try to wash it with any pressurized water, I.e. pressure washer etc until the film is cured. Even after the adhesive is cured you should still use caution when washing the edges of the film.

I have one of these this week for full front end and rockers. This was great to see before I get started!

Get yourself a set of 67" Race Ramps. They will save your back.

your video is fantastic ! I even think I can wrap my own car after looking at you step by step process.

Gotta polish the entire car.
Very informative video. Keep it up 💯💯🤙

When wrapping a zo6 c8 front bumper , can it be done without any cuts or seams? Thank you
This is why we use xpel gel with little slip in as don't need to keep lifting the film.

Did you put film over the front cameras? Couldn’t tell in the video.
Do you wrap the mirror on this car in one piece or two?
Hi what type of solution you are using?

How long did the front end take you to install?
Can you order this exact clear wrap as a kit? Did it come with head lamp wrap?
What slip are you using
Where can I buy bulk film for c8 hood?
What’s your tac ratio!
Where can I order one for C8. 2021?
Is it standard to simply cover the Corvette emblem with the film?
It didn't get covered. Not sure where you saw that.
@@joshcosta423 the video showed the film going over the entire front area. Did you cut around the Corvette emblem?
Marc G the Corvette logo was already cutout of the film in the DAP software, that is why it was his first alignment point.
How long from it being finished, until you can hit the road?
You can drive the vehicle normally immediately after the install. Just don't try to wash it with any pressurized water, I.e. pressure washer etc until the film is cured. Even after the adhesive is cured you should still use caution when washing the edges of the film.
What does this solution contain?
Where are you located?
What state you located at?
1. use a better ppf that contains less orange peel. stop using xpel bc of the name...
2. show us bulk - precut is easy
what PPF do you recommend
Why don’t you post a video
