Now, I just need a C-8. Any ideas? Actually I am still kicking myself for selling my 2017 Camaro (50th Anniversary) Coupe with Every Option you can get, plus Performance Package. Sold with 726 miles on OD. I was bit by the Truck bug and sold it. Now, I could have easily doubled my $$$. Life Lessons.
Hey Mark! Thanks for the support! Nothing wrong with the truck bug. I am working on multiple projects so it is nice to see the C8 also have a but of an audience
Hope you have some nice Trips this Summer, chance to test out much of the gear. Really enjoyed Mrs. Don's Life working on the Escalade Wrap, I'm sure it gave her a different take on what you go through, doing what you do and having everything recorded for the world to see. Good luck to you and yours.
The bulletin states that when a radar detector is hard-wired behind the rearview mirror, it can change the vehicle's voltage levels and specifically affect the side mirrors. Bulletin #21-NA-251
Yes 👍 I read that bulletin prior to this install. That problem will happen if the wrong wire is tapped. It is easy to see how this mistake can be made. The harness is very small.
Two wires will provide power for the cable. Tapping the wrong one can cause the issue. The harness is super small, so I understand GM’s position on the matter
I am with you and those mirror taps……clean look. Car is awesome. Keep up the great content.
Thanks! Will do!

Mrs Donslife is helping install a new-to-the-market exhaust with me right away! I suspect it will feel similar to the Cadillac wrap experience.

@@Donslife thanks for replying.
Quick note for those with MY2025: looks like the red wire is now purple/white.
There is a GM BULLITEN that discourages this hook up to rear view mirror. It can cause mirror to short circuit.
That’s a definite risk if you perform this install incorrectly.
@@Donslife makes sense. The bulletin wasn't specific about cause. Just that it can happen.

@Donslife thank you for additional information.
Couldn't have anything to do with a certain rally coming up, could it? 😉
Don’t be silly
