Can you do a video about shaft lean at impact? Padraig did a great video recently - totally on board with everything he said. It's hard for me to sequence it in a way so that I have more shaft lean + release it correctly.
What I appreciate about George’s teaching is that he understands matchups. Too much instruction out there that is rigid and systematic. Yes there are some absolutes. But hall of fame golfers do different things but match them up properly. It takes a good coach to understand those matchups👍
Ok I’ve been teaching for 20 years played professionally for 10 years at mini tour level and four spotters. I have implemented in my own swing the rounded spine and brought my butt in and wow what a difference. It was the teachings of the 90’s + to stick your butt out chin up. I have always struggled with that to a certain degree.
I swear setup is 99% of your golf swing, because on rare occasions I'll be set up just perfectly and I'll look at the ball and I'll be able to see and feel the fact that I'm going to hit an absolutely perfect swing and follow through etc. I would love to take a lesson from you you seem like the best tips I've ever heard
I say this all the time. When i feel set up correctly i dont even think about the swing. It just feels natural. Creating set up consistency with all clubs and shot types is the hard part!
OMG.. the stance tips have got me hitting the ball so solidly now. I was very bent over, and was always losing my balance. Now I can maintain my balance...
This video is amazing in how comprehensive it is; especially for its short length. I'm trying to make a Gankster out of my beginner friend, but he finds GG confusing and too technical. I've urged him to watch this video over and over again to absorb it bit by bit over time.
Awesome content. Setup and grip are so much of the golf swing. This has helped me a lot. I had been a "super athletic setup" golfer my entire life until this year and following GG more closely. Hitting the ball better than ever. Thanks GG!
Would like to know your thoughts on wrist extension at the top of the back swing. The only way I can achieve wrist flexion is if I deviate to a much weaker grip with my lead hand. I'm sure it's because of issues with my wrist mobility.
I watched one player when setting up. Moe Norman. Guy never left the ground. His feet were always on the ground, and that's how (I) myself, create consistency and balance. Good tips here man. Thorough explanation.
Im glad I was lucky enough to have been taught golf basics when I was a kid. I feel it’s harder for people to trust their instincts when they never played a “swinging” sport growing up (baseball, golf, tennis, etc.)
Was watching Rory vs. Flower Ryder Cup 2014 last night when Rory played lights out golf. His posture back then was a lot more like this and less "straight back"...
I'm the most stereotypical 💩 golfer after watching this. I am, soon to be was the on the toes over stretching to the ball golfer. I've tried this once and it felt alien but my god did I stripe it more often than not. One hell of a video 🔥🔥🔥
I noticed Johnny's left arm wasn't in line with the shaft at address. I bring it up only because when I move my arm/club in line it was a pretty dramatic change. I am keen to hit a ball with this new position.
Lol, came to say the same thing. Never seen an older golfer try so hard to fit in with teenagers. The belt on his joggers combined with his flat brim & 90's bowling shoes had me cracking up.
I can’t believe Jonny kept a straight face, it looked like George cut his eye’s towards him to see if he was smiling. I’ve noticed similar remarks in other videos, slides them in smooth Likea G!
Im not a fan of how GG claims that Sam Snead and Jack and whoever has the same setup as GG advocates, they didnt. Anyone can see that when comparing videos.
Your golf swing determines your setup. A one or a two plane swing have different set-ups. The same goes for stack and tilt and your physical condition. So if you prescribe one golf setup you are not a good instructor!
@ironsideeve2955 you're probably right, it starts as a hard listen for me. I've since seen him elsewhere, he likes to talk. Seems like good information. I appreciate these guys time and effort. I just don't get their over exaggeration points. Like who does this.
Comment below what type of content you'd like to see next!!

Can you do a video about ball flight control and how to get more height on all shots?
Putting drills!!!
How to turn back and through.
Thank you!!!
Baseline for backswing and downswing (2 separate vids maybe?)
Great tips George!!
appreciate it!
You two are my most trusted instruction sources on youtube. If you ever do a collab it would be amazing haha
@@AMKGolfseriously lol, these two are absolute masters
I've heard George hits it a bit further than Padraig 🤔
This should be watched by 99% of golfers. Really great.

Can you give an example of an absolute?
@@ironsideeve2955 face to path controls curvature
The left foot alignment just what I have been looking for thanks
This is fantastic. Never heard the set-up explained in such detail but yet make so much sense at the same time. And the explanation of match-ups= 🤯🤯
Agreed!!
DUDE ! This is the best explanation I have ever seen. You are awesome

More talk about setup + grip match ups and the spectrum that's available there please! Keep up the hustle team GG!
Great segment on the correct address posture, George. Just came back from the range and damn, it changed everything!
Probably the best lesson I’ve ever learned. Thank you for sharing this easy to understand lesson.👍
Thank you, George! You’re the best!

Tension a real swing killer.
Man, I wish this guy lived closer to Dallas lol answering every question I have on just one video
One of the best comprehensive video on fundamentals 👍
George always getting us right!!
Love it! Can you cover P6 to P8 as far as where the clubhead is in relation to the hands?
Awesome content. Setup and grip are so much of the golf swing. This has helped me a lot. I had been a "super athletic setup" golfer my entire life until this year and following GG more closely. Hitting the ball better than ever. Thanks GG!
I really appreciate the justification for each setup fundamental. Great job.
So... you're the one who has made thevterm "match-ups" famous. Well done. Recent sub btw
G always adding to my GG Golf Bible. So many gems in this video! You are always number 1 for me! 👊⛳️💥😊
🙌
Oh my, i have never heard most of this before. Great video!
Are those actual shoes and socks on GG’s feet? 😳😳😳 An encyclopedia volume of info in one video… impressive. 👍
Some good pointers there. It’s important to know what you do right as what you do wrong or lucky strikes will always be lucky strikes
Thanks GG, Great video
Great breakdown on setup and consistency. New sub!
Great lesson. Stuff I haven’t heard before.
Love this guy, brilliant and insightful
Great setup lesson .
As a coach, awesome vid, very educational 👏👏
awesome info,as usual
Fantastic video, one that'll be saved for future reference ❤

I've been thinking how great it would be for GG to make a video discussing his opinions on Moe Norman's moves.
Im glad I was lucky enough to have been taught golf basics when I was a kid. I feel it’s harder for people to trust their instincts when they never played a “swinging” sport growing up (baseball, golf, tennis, etc.)
Clearly explained and demoed👌

Oh geeze. $1000 worth of lessons here. ❤
The prison reference 😂😂😂😂 I’m dead
15:52 more athletic I’d you were in prision😂😂😂
G… u mentioned the “greats” but what about Johnny Miller??
I watched a lot of Paddy's Golf Tips. Seems like he and G focus on a lot of the same fundamentals in the posture, setup and swing.
I'm the most stereotypical 💩 golfer after watching this. I am, soon to be was the on the toes over stretching to the ball golfer. I've tried this once and it felt alien but my god did I stripe it more often than not. One hell of a video 🔥🔥🔥

With those joggers, your setup will never be right 😂
Came here to say this, all the boxes checked: flat brim, joggers, and braaaah! So cool! 😜 🤣 😂
Lol, came to say the same thing. Never seen an older golfer try so hard to fit in with teenagers. The belt on his joggers combined with his flat brim & 90's bowling shoes had me cracking up.
15:30 had a Charles Barkley moment there 😂😂
So more posterior pelvic tilt at address?
what kind pants?
"if you were in prison!" The funniest htiing I have ever heard this guy say!!!
Hello I am a kid golfer that just qualified to the world championships can you give me some tips?
300 OK"S!
ok
Love it George but maybe too much info jammed into a single video. A mini series for each section you outlined in the beginning.
I ended up taking a few notes. That helped simplify
Please say Lead and Trail as opposed to Left and Right
So many good things here. Some of us think the swing is 90% setup
"... More athletic - in prison." 🤣🤣🤣
lol amazing
right in the snuff hole
I can’t believe Jonny kept a straight face, it looked like George cut his eye’s towards him to see if he was smiling. I’ve noticed similar remarks in other videos, slides them in smooth Likea G!
Is this really GG channel and content or thst other dude?
This is real, I unsubbed the fake one.
i was always told there is no such thing as a neutral grip anymore. coaches always said either your grip is strong or its weak xD
Prison 😂😂😂
Im not a fan of how GG claims that Sam Snead and Jack and whoever has the same setup as GG advocates, they didnt. Anyone can see that when comparing videos.
That's only athletic for prison.....LOL!
snuff box, not snuff hole :)
Too many things in 1 video. Split this up and it will be easier to ingest.
Just watched it at 1.5x speed and had no issue
Good Stuff

Way too much talking about everything but proper set-up. Why do we need to see so much demo of every single possible bad position
Think you missed the point mate

Avoid all golf instruction on UA-cam it will fry your brain and destroy your golf game.
Blah blah blah
