Man within two days of drinking store bought Kiefer asthma symptoms went away! It almost seems like it’s helping my sleep apnea. So I will by the lifetime grains and see what happens! Thank you
If you think that they're good, the grains are waaaaay better. My wife and I have been drinking the milk from them for 5 days now and we both feel amazing. Clarity of thought, happy all the time, high energy. I just can't believe that we hadn't discovered this years ago.
Thank you for this information. I bought store bought Keifer grains and was gooing to try making Keifer today. I need to source some fresh grains now or I will feel ripped off. Its for health after all. I appreciate your breakdown of information.
Hi! Do you think it's fine to use store bought milk or should it be raw milk from local farms? I'm trying to heal MCAS, histamine intolerance, etc. Thanks :)

Hello, does the nutritional content of milk change once it’s been fermented into kefir or yogurt? Does the protein, fat, and sugar content go up or down?
it depends how long it is fermented but the sugar is broken down so decreases, protein gets broken down into smaller proteins but I dont think it decreases the total protein content. I believe fat stays the same
Use grains in any milk? I see grains targeting specific 'milks' like almond, oat, coconut. You mean any dairy milk? Then again I see best to use full fat dairy.
I get insane diarrhea every time I drink Raw Milk and Raw Kefir, yet after 50+ days of experimenting, I am still pushing forward. It gets very annoying and disappointing, but I am not willing to give up on it. Any suggestions or advice on how to alleviate this issue?
You might have better results drinking raw milk and raw milk kefir that has the label “A2” on it. It’s basically the same milk but from slightly different cows, and it’s known to be easier to digest. If that doesn’t work, or you can’t find it, try raw sheep milk and kefir, that should be much easier for you to digest. Do your own research on these, good luck! Btw, it’s not good to have prolonged diarrhea, it flushes all the vitamins and minerals from your body. Make sure you stay hydrated by replenishing your electrolytes and eat a nutritious diet ;)
My advice is always to start slow and it’s the last fermented food I recommend because it’s so strong. I often recommend doing 1 tsp to start. That has more probiotics than an entire bottle of most probiotic pills!
I would have to know more info. Most people have a stronger reaction to homemade because it is much stronger. And many prefer the taste to store bought
I bought the keffir powder and the instruction says to use long life milk? Why is that? I have to put it in a cup of milk and then let it set for 24hrs before adding 1 litre of the long life milk. With the power, does it mean I have to keep buying powder every time I wanna make a new batch?
@littlehomeforest5972 I've just brought sachet powdered version too. I've followed directions and got a litre of kefir. Drank it, yum. I'm assuming there's no grains, first time user, but I strained it and although there's no grains I just put the strained part back into jar and put litre of raw milk. Now it's full set and separating in the jar so I put in the fridge. I don't know what to do with it next. 😮😂 cheese?
@Ltaurere I bought the powder too. It asked to activate the culture using a cup of long life milk. But it just not setting for some reason. Maybe it's not warm enough. 🥲 Does your keffir taste like the store bought! Your 2nd batch set like cheese? How interesting 🤔 what did you end up doing with it?
I’ve got the orange-coloured chewing-gum looking stuff from a sachet. I’m using raw milk though so wouldn’t it end up producing a rich array of flora? I’m just doing it in a bowl at room temperature but I decided to put the hob on the lowest heat for a couple of minutes before switching it off then placing the bowl on it, covered with a tea-towel secured by pegs. That should be okay after 20 hours, right?
Did it work for you? Most powder starter cultures like the one you mentioned won’t work well for raw milk: they usually need shelf stable or ultra pasteurised sadly. That shows how low they are in probiotics :( . Try getting real milk kefir grains on Facebook marketplace, yemoos or cultures for heal the
@@groundedapproach I’ve basically been playing it by ear and seeing how it goes ever since then and I think I’ve perfected the technique with whatever I’ve developed. I just put them in 2 large galloon plastic jugs about 2ft away from my stove fireplace with the lid on loosely and leave them for around 5 days at a time. The first 3/4 tries it was always too thick and lumpy but I’m now getting it thin and watery with a transparent consistency yet a really sour and acidic taste which I think is a great sign because apparently that means the lactose has been consumed and replaced with lactic acid!👍🏻It’s beautiful & I’ve even lost weight while consuming it regularly as part of my carnivore diet which I’ve been on for 5+ years now. The reason I wanted to start making kefir is because I absolutely love milk but it was making me fat-now it’s the exact opposite so I’m really satisfied with the results and the taste! Fermenting is the way to go!🔥
The “die off” effects are very similar to a histamine reaction. There’s so much I could share but go slow with the stock. Start with an ice cube amount and very slowly work your way up! Check out my video on die off :)
So I've bought the dehydrated grains from a health food store and I was trying to make it with raw goat milk that i recieve frozen. It has never "turned out". I'm not sure if it's because I'm using goat milk, or the fact it's frozen when I get it not "fresh" or that I need to try the "gummy kefir grains" instead of dehydrated. I bought some rennet for thickening tye next time I attempt to make yogurt and kefir. Any suggestions?
Okay so dehydrated grains need to be given a few “rounds” of milk to wake up! So add some milk and let them sit and then strain 2-3 times over about a week. Then they will hydrate and wake up and be able to start culturing milk into kefir!
I’m impressed by your jawline
So pretty ❤
Shame about the vocal fry. 😖
