How does it do in rain
It does good in light rain but if constantly pouring floors get wet (it's floorless) mosquito net wall does fairly good to keep water out.
@@GrizzlyMellow thank you for the reply. Need a rain fly with most tents anyways. Get a good ridge line over the unit. String up appropriately sized tarp for rainfly
Actually I've seen some people that use waterproof spray in the roof too but honestly I haven't seen leaks from the ceiling anyways, thanks @treadmenot for commenting.

What are the extra poles for??
Great question! I forgot to mention that, those provide stability to your entrance one on each side. They give extra tension to the zipper door.
I did this review for a great outdoors tent, it is not designed for camping although I do plan to use this to sleep in it and modify it to act as a hot tent. It provides shelter from mosquitoes or the sun. You can use it in your patio as well, if you have any questions feel free to leave comments down below. Too big to be taken on motorcycle and not dark inside.
They sell separately panels for the walls and get more privacy. About size yes... It is not compact.
Don't wear a backwards hat at your age.

for that kind of money, id expect to stay dry in the rain.
Since is floorless I use a tarp but in constant rain you can get a wet floor. Nonetheless the seams from ceiling are water resistant and had no issues from above, the wall panels can help on cover the mosquito net walls and keep the rain out as well.
The tight mesh stops bugs and most rain storms. Optional rain privacy covers are available.
