No unfortunately there’s no awning
I was extremely frustrated with this gazebo. To my disbelief, it arrived inside out, causing us significant inconvenience. It took us an entire afternoon and the following morning to rectify the situation. We had to painstakingly remove the top poles and reverse the gazebo, encountering numerous tangles and obstructions along the way.
It was an absolute nightmare! Finally, after persistently trying, we managed to get it to open the correct way. Reversing it proved to be the solution, allowing it to unfold properly and function as intended. When closing, it now inverts correctly, without any issues.
Initially, when we attempted to set it up, the logos faced the wrong way, preventing the walls from popping out as they should. It was incredibly frustrating and required a tremendous amount of effort. The strain it put on the tent's fabric was almost unbearable. Considering the circumstances, I'm uncertain whether we received a defective unit, but the entire experience was nothing short of a horror show. It didn't help that we were wrestling with it in scorching 30+ Celsius weather, living in Canada.

Same experience, never set it up at our campsite. Had to remove several poles to sort of get it folded back up to take home. Did you disassemble the top hub to remove the top poles?
How does this hold up to the wind or heavy rain with the rain fly as compared to being attached like the G6 Deluxe???? This is my only concern
I went though 3 days of non stop rain and was completely dry! I always stake down where ever I go so it holds up great against the wind.
Does this tent actually stay cool with the top flap on and the screen sides zipped up to keep out the bugs?
Yea the bugs stay out great
Just bought this one. Haven’t unboxed it yet. Went with this one in hopes the Georgia heat will escape thru the mesh on top.

I love the G6 Cool Top. I actually use it as a sleeping tent now in hot climates
I love it! Great quality tent. Sleep in it also with a cot on warm days
Does the top easily come down during heavy rain or strong winds? I’m back n forth between CLAM sky escape and Gazelle G6 cool top.

So this big tent only has one "door" then huh ? You see sime of those Korean campers here that pull the back of their truck towards one door, sleep in truck and use tent as family room so to speak. Im looking for one of those
It has the option of one big door or two. You just have to zip up the sides or middle.
