On deceleration the sounds of that Valkyrie downshifting into those corners was intoxicating. Of course the DBX is an outstanding SUV/sports car, but after several go-arounds in that Valkyrie as third person over James‘s shoulder, the DBX at a 145mph looked like it was out on a Sunday drive!👏

This thing sounds a little like an old school F1 car, absolutely wild. The start up and switch from EV to engine was nuts too, sounds like monster coming to life, incredible.
I had to rewatch that 5 times.... sounds out of this world.

6:43 I thought the Huayra R sounded like a proper f1 v12, but the Valkyrie takes the cake! While the Huayra screams & revs high, that flyby was pitch perfect !
Huayra R still sounds better but this is still epic.

Thats just him correcting oversteer. I would imagine he is probably only driving at 70% of his and the cars limit on these journalist days. Imagine what it would be like flat out and with no passenger 😮. I really hope they take on the nurburgring as I am intrigued to see how close it gets sub 6mins.
Nico is such a likable guy. I I have a weak spot for him in F1. Too bad he never get to exploit the talent he has.
He does have the record for most races without a win, that is quite an accomplishment

Aston Martin absolutely killing it in the hypercar sphere. Now let's see them bring this kind of innovation into their 'normal' stuff like the Vantage and DB11.
The innovation is mostly on the aero, and Aston's road cars are GTs so they won't have this type of aero. The engine is also too expensive.
or into their abysmal Formula 1 car lmao...they are a joke lol
This car was made in partnership with Red Bull Racing, who left after Aston Martin Racing became its own F1 team.
This car was mainly designed by Adrian Newey. Aston gives little credit to him as the chief designer.
Year and a half or two so years ago you quickly became someone I look up to alot and it's awesome to see you living it up properly!

i was probably the first public passenger in the valkyrie amr pro during hypercar invitational 4. i thought i had good neck strength.. each time braking into turn 2 at laguna seca, my chin bar would hit my sternum. yes i forgot my hans device but still.. the most violent car experience i've ever had. the braking is like nothing i've ever experienced.
Loved seeing the straps on Nico’s harness pulled sideways on turning g’s!
It’s mental how it’s in each gear for roughly the same amount of time, like each gear doesn’t rev out slower than the previous gear… it’s like the worlds best sounding metronome.
What a privilege to experience such a car let alone get driven by an F1 driver. I wish AMR would sell passenger laps for this 🙏
Lucky lucky man! The Valkyrie looks so sleek, it slices through the air. The DB9X 707 is highly desirable x
reminds me of oldschool radio when you change stations and it takes a couple secs to be perfect lol The start rolling in electric and then unleashing a v12 is also kinda special

For those lucky few that chose the AMG 1 over the Valkyrie you must be kicking yourself 🤯
Two different concepts. Mercedes Amg's aim was to fit a formula 1 power train in a road legal car which can be driven everyday if u want and could also drive silently using the electric motors If wanted on the other hand Aston aim was to create a hardcore track machine with the option of driving on the road if u want but it's very noisy and uncomfortable unlike the Mercedes Amg 1.
@@princesekyere9679 The "standard" Valkyrie doesn't have a stripped out interior like the track only AMR Pro which you see in the video. The AMG-One is a fat cow.
Many who are buying the AMG will also have the Aston. That kind of wealth usually doesn't have to choose unless they want to.
@@RAZGR1Z yes still 2 different concepts, the standard Valkyrie is not as comfortable and as composed as the Amg. Too loud and too strict. The gearbox whine alone can be heard from quite a distance.
@@RAZGR1Z standard Valkyrie has a very bare interior and is incredibly loud for road use. Fundamentally different car to the AMG
Valkyrie Spider looks awesome! I still wish they made a more tamed version for the road. It's basically a track and show car but still amazing for what it is.

Hulk is great, hopefully he’ll be able to get back into F1 in the near future. A man can dream but imagine the new Audi Sauber F1 team with Seb Vettel as team principal and a Mick and Nico driver line up

The speed at which the gears are changed is getting towards F1.... insane!
Is this a full AMR Pro or is it a normal Valkyrie with the track only aero package? As per the AM site, the AMR Pro removes the hybrid electric system but on leaving the pits, we see it move and later turn on the ICE.
That's a trip to the chiro or weeks long neck aches on the downshifts alone. And Nico was pushing 300kph on the straights. F1 is 'only' another 29kph more at Silverstone.
I like how Nico was changing the gears. With a finger light touch. Is the car hybrid assisted? I hear an electric sound then the engine cracks on.
It’s more of a substantial starter motor - it gets the car to 1400rpm and then the engine kicks in!
It's the kind of car that gives you goosebumps
