you really make me miss home. I used to live in Dutch Flat and both the American and the Bear rivers were both within walking/hiking distance from my house. My dad's good buddy Miner Matt has a claim out near grass valley and mom still lives right above the bear in dutch flatt I need to come vist when this virus crap settles down.
Dutch flat is one of my favorite mining towns, a beautiful town and surrounding area! Your mom must have my dream home lol!

You should get a Sierra Blaster and use it on those boulders and cracks. Quiet, efficient, quick, non-explosive, inexpensive. Get more gold. I am a distributor. Starts at $725.

Great video Jerry, got a tip for you. Next time you need to move a large rock with a small rock bar you can pry the large rock up just enough to get round cobble below it and roll it out of you’re way. Keep the vids coming. I grew up in the mother lode and worked a lot of the rivers you work. I’m in the central coast now and not a day goes by I don’t miss the mountains and all the color they have.

A great escape as usual Jerry. My first reaction to the huge boulder was it is volcanoclastic because of the angular clasts and texture of the matrix, but that was just from a quick look on video, and not seeing/knowing the area. A closer more detailed look could indicate it came from glacial grinding or possibly cataclasis in a fault. Whatever the case, they're pretty cool. That thing was also plenty big to hide some good shiny. Heavy pans bro.

I always wanted to hunt for mushrooms, even bought a field guide but just don't trust myself enough to eat them lol
@@californiamotherlodeprospect Join a mushroom hunting club. Morel mushrooms are popping in your area currently. Google the Great Morel Map. People from across the country post when and roughly where they are finding mushrooms. Very helpful. There are a lot of mushrooms that don't have any looks a likes and are delicious!

That spot a 15:11 I worked about 2 years ago every weekend. I pulled a lot of gold out of it! I got some cool pictures of the big stuff I pulled out. It slid down the the bedrock into a little square looking trough next to that big rock you mentioned. Looks like there’s still some gold sitting there. Awesome video as always, glad to see your out finding the shiny. Good luck out there guys.

If you get a dot In the middle and a ring around it is Lyme disease from the tick got hit twice with it already ended up in the hospital for a week make sure you get to the doctor if you see it
