I have watched so many of these mining videos and finally someone explains things where I can understand how the heck this all works! Thank you for explaining how the gold travels and collects in the quartz, so thankful to finally get some understanding of this amazing world you live in. Fascinating they were doing this in the 1800’s with much less technology, very hard and dangerous work those miners were living. Stay safe!
YEAH, JASON ROCKS... I WATCH HIM THE HURD LIKE EVERYDAY. I LIKE IT BETTER THAN EVEN GOLD RUSH... NOT ALL THAT DRAMA...
Appreciate you taking the time and effort to explain this to us all. *in the rain*
The rain is something you learn to live with in this area, since it does it approximately 9 months of the year.
@@r.awilliams9815 9 mos of rain! Oohhh that sucks!
At least you don't get 7 or 8 months of snow, like in Flagstaff AZ.
But yeah, I would suppose you do get used to both rain and snow after awhile.
You can pick your day but you can't pick your weather.
He needs better lights sponsors!!
One thing is for sure. Jason works his ass off on these mines. Old school determination. These mobile setups are genius and very function for a one or two man operation.
Here is a great 👍 idea that will help your back and time. A small portable feeling belt up to the level of the truck system or ground. You could also just carry the fulcrum legs, belt, 3-4 8’x12”-24”+ sectional with motor. If it works out for y’all like I know it will please consider a royalty for the plans especially if you sell them we could talk further.
I truly hope y’all took samples and made some thin sections to get some ideas on the original grain sizes before the crusher and grinder.
You should buy a gazebo/canopy for the back of your truck
good job Jason.....and " Yeah....your gonna get Wet ! "
Tommyknockers chase you outta your hole? What's the matter, you scared boy?!
Soooooo Wet
ready to go!
Jimmy John keeping an eye on your competitors, pretty nice setup he has.
"So c'mon, let's go!"
Thank you ever so much Jason for teaching the general public. Please stay safe and healthy and take care of yourself and your family. ☺☺☺😇😇😇
still a great rig ausome set up. I would add a metal tube roof that you can put a tarp on keep you and the equipment dry. And a jack all to use on the truck to level sluice run. still quite hard to improve on that set up, good work.
I just wanted to thank you for teaching me so much. I don’t know why but this stuff is fascinating to me from start to finish. I would come work for free just to absorb the knowledge you have! Thank you, I love all of your videos!
This is deff. The best Mining and prospecting channel on all of UA-cam!
Really enjoy videos like this, not many channels show the inner workings! Keep up the great work!
Best short course in hard rock I’ve ever seen. Thank you sir!
This is an excellent video and the gentleman speaking knows what he is discussing very well. With my many years experience as a mining engineer and an experienced UG and surface miner, this is an excellent explanation of hard-rock mining.
Watched this video several months ago and here I am again, it's really cool. Makes me want to get into gold mining, or at least marketing the hardware for gold mining.
Thanks Jason, it's really cool to see the whole process.
That truck with a whole plant on it is so cool! That dry crusher is really munching down that ore like me with pretzels lol.
This is a very good job of explaining the basics of hard rock mining! I have read a bit and watched a lot of videos about historical mining and I think you have a great knack for putting in such a way anyone can understand. I would love to go underground in WA gold mines, been in a few in Oregon here. Gracias
Excellent video, I would love to come work with you to gain some of your
Knowledge! Thank you!
Thanks for the vid. Its good for us to compare our geology and experiences with yours. (dry australia.. more like arizona). thanks again
I always enjoy listening to somebody who really knows their craft. Whether it is a master electrician, carpenter, mason, plumber, computer scientist or in this case a miner. Their vocabulary alone is indicative of their thorough understanding of the subject matter. Thumbs up!
Hes a degree holder in geology
you do a really good job of explaining what the termanology and all aspects of mining happen...very well done Jason.
Finally a gold video that gives you what you want.
Great video, I really appreciate the way you explain some of the terminology, it makes it much easier to understand the layout and what was being done, it must have been scary at times. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
Thanks to the great UA-cam algorithm I found your videos. I won't ever be mining for gold, but I really enjoy your teaching style. I'm impressed with your knowledge of geology and chemistry. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and documenting your work.
Appreciate the amount of work you go to, making sure you get close-ups so we can see the bubbling molten metal, and varying point of view. I'll never be a gold miner but I really enjoy your videos.
Thank you so much for this video, I’m new to hard rock gold, I’m learning so much from you Jason
Yep, the old MSHA mining safety and first aid classes. One full week on most of the classes. I remember them well.
I have learned a lot but so much more to learn.... thanks for your knowledge
Whenever I'm crushing buckets of ore I always think about your fancy conveyor belt system.
Me too
Watching you use buckets has given me an appreciation for conveyor belts.
Romeo's and lime green socks, man. 😂😅😂😂 love it
Thank you so much jason,i hv learned all of you mining video .hv a nice day bro.
Hi Jason,
You always upload great video’s but this one was really in the excellent category.
From inside the mine to processing and finally the finished product.
Really good work and thank you for your hard work in the rain.
That’s an excellent system you have there.
From Down Under
Cheers Mate
Mark
So glad I found your channel. Best mining videos I have seen. Thank You.
consider building / adding a winch powered crane to your truck bed to lift buckets and load the hammer mill. saves your shoulders, back, and arms.
I love how informative and thorough all the videos are. Even better when you are waking up and have a cup off coffee in hand.
great vid, that's what I've been trying to explain to people using my machinery
Great video. I like how you explain terminology. That is an ideal one man prospecting setup.
Nicely done Jason! Always appreciate you sharing your findings with us! That's got to be an awesome feeling to spend 3-4 hours and come back with over 1/4 oz of gold.
I REALLY like watching the videos with you mining by yourself from the truck, gives me hope I can be a miner one day with a similar setup.
You'd blow the mind of a humble miner from 1850 with a contraption like this. wow.
Thanks you actually showed me something I didn’t know now I have some more knowledge to work with. Very interesting unit that you got I’m going be looking into something like that for my claim.
Im glad i found this channel! I grew up around mt Baker. Great info, thanks
This is awesome! What do you mean by "develop it from the outside"? You dont have to go inside the old workings? Does that mean blasting a new tunnel? Im soooo happy I've found your channel and these videos, I feel like a kid on Christmas morning whenever a new one comes out. This is all so fascinating and exciting to me, and as far as i know theres nobody else doing this and documenting it at all, and especially not so well. Thank you Jason!
i think he means like surface mining or strip mining
Open pit mine?
Ask Jeff Williams is good channel and Ben Hurd they explain stuff like Jason mix them all up and you have the total package!!
Love your video’s Jason. Looks like you have some work ahead scaling, rock bolting and screening, can’t wait to see that video. You obviously enjoy what you do and thanks for sharing with us.
Really cool underground mine, thank you for the tour! Time to build some ore cars?
Thanks for explaining it to me as much of these videos I watch
I always have questions
You answered some of them
Excellent video. Very informative , interesting, intelligent. Thank you. Really enjoyed it.
Great vid Jas ,you go hard son! Rain don’t even stop you, thank you from Australia 🇦🇺
These bags that you use, have you thought of using wheat straw bales staked with t posts on final processing to put on the reclaim areas? It strikes me that once tilled together would possibly create topsoil.
I enjoyed that, thanks for laying it out so plainly.
Great educational video. We've just got our first couple of leases through in Western Australia so I need to learn as much as I can of processing the rock...Thanks.
If i could make a recommendation for your videos, when you do the time lapse shots, instead of leaving the audio in, put some royalty free music over it, will make the sound in your videos much nicer. I'd point to Dan Hurd's Channel as an example of that, you don't have to use the same kinds of music, but something like that would probably bring the quality of your videos up. Cheers, and good luck.
Wow sangat menarik sekali,, infonya sobat,, apa yg anda lakukan tentang mineral emas sangat menarik sekali,, terima kasih atas infonya,, Salam dari Pencari Emas Tradisional Indonesia 🇮🇩🇮🇩🙋🙌💪💯👍
Thanks Jason love the set up. Pls do more of these exploration vids. Absolutely brilliant
That was really really neat 👌 I've never seen the process before.I like watching these kinds of videos very good insight .I wish I could do that some day.Thank you for showing me.
That was awesome video. I totally liked the set up from the jaw crusher to hammer mill then sluice box in the back of a flatbed truck.
I wished I had a smaller version of this setup. In since, I am kind of learning the gold mining process. But with the 20plus years experience in grade work digging in the ground. And building things such as this would keep me busy.. lol.
Hands down the best videos when it comes to the whole mining process. Well done.
Nice presentation Jason. Really shows your experience in the subject of gold mining. Well equipped also. Very good operation, both at the shop and at the mine. Stay healthy and safe.
that was a fantastic, fascinating video - you're brilliant!
Is that cave friggen half made of nephrite?!? All that waxy spinich green stone is crazy
Really interesting!! And clearly shows how dangerous old mines are !! Thanks !
I can't see a better day than a rainy day to do this work on.
1 suggestion, roll the powder after it comes out of the impact mill, then down the sluice....Will greatly increase your yield...Great job Jason...
When you said re-develop the old mine I had flash backs from drilling and shooting the back and how much it sucks 🤣
You are very intelligent and knowledgeable in your field of endeavor. Also, thanks for taking time and explaining the mine, vein, etc.... very interesting..
so it's mainly a crushing and grinding unit to get powder around 1mm. Then gold trap and gold pan to recover the gold. It's for small scale capacity, exactly suitable for the small miners or whom pay interest in gold rush.
Awesome video! Looking forward to seeing more from this mine. Seems like a cool place.
holy moley you are the real deal..portable mining.. I love that.. what a great hobby... one that possible to BREAK EVEN.. and fun in the dirt.. I am so excited I could SPIT... :)
Thanks mate. Love your descriptions and insight. Really interesting to watch. Thanks so much for your vids.
Wow, Jason, that is a pretty awesome rig and job !! Been in contact with you around 3 years ago from norway, really impressed !!
Installing a vertical spiral lift of sorts between the crusher and the hammer mill could save you a step.
I think I started watching your videos around the start of the year. I've enjoyed some more than others of course but there hasn't yet been one that bored me. Today's effort though is the most enjoyable one I've seen so far! I got interested in this sort of thing last year through watching Dan Hurd's channel and I love his videos too, but he mines gold as a hobby compared with your more industrial approach so there isn't much in the way of reproduction between the two. This video, following the process through from the rockface to the final product, was fascinating and I'm keen to see your operation develop. I wish you every success and thank you for letting me watch.
Excellent video.your giving us so much knowledge in your video thank you👍
36:35 that's a cool shot, props from those in flip flops.
Pls do some more of these loved it
Jason all of those tailing need a leaching before they are expired of all the metals because of the high sulfides.
Jason, it's real good to see you getting underground and sampling the vein on your property. I've been following this project from the get-go and have enjoyed seeing your mobile mill in action. I have to admit that it's inspired an idea for a high-altitude gold project I've been toying with for a while.
I'm the equipment manager for a small mine services company based in New Mexico; we're in the business of supporting narrow-vein gold mines. I'd love to help you track down some good equipment for your mine as things progress. My business partner and I have a few contacts in your neck of the woods, and I've tracked down a 1-yard LHD in northern California at a very fair price that could be a good fit for you, along with miscellaneous other LHDs and haul trucks. I can also work on finding a slusher or two. Please let me know if any of that would be of interest.
Good times right there!
Do you need a permit or some kind of licenses to go hunting or dig for gold in your state????
awesome, looking forward to your future video's
That’s an awesome setup. Great job on the smelt to man.
As usual Jason, you are the man. Thank you for the knowledge.
Hay bud then trees behind you at 2450. One of the coolest weird trees iv seen. great set up
Aren't they called J-trees?
@@wernerhiemer406 not sure but very well could be
Very interesting. Very knowledgeable also thank you very much God bless
2/3 oz /T those are good numbers, rusty quartz is usually good stuff ( gold rides an iron horse ).
Nice vid Jason! Get those JUICY sections, boom🙌
Something that just peeked my curiosity when I was hooking up shredder to my Kubota compact tractor. You could probably work up a model of the mobile hammer mill and sluice adapted for PTO off of a small tractor. I would imagine a lot of small miners have compact tractors with front end loaders for moving material.
I'm putting together a full station in a top of a truck where I can do what you just did, but I'll be recycling the water. I like your video.
Hey Jason! I like the story line in these videos. Process from beginning to end. Also, did you happen to take notice of the trees behind you up at the mine. They way they grew they look like boomerangs 🤣… 🍻👍
Beautiful job man love watching
If you use a graduated cylinder with water displacement to determine the volume of the button , you can infer it’s specific gravity. In that way you can interpolate the percentage of your button that is actually gold.
The end-to-end process is extremely informative.
Great video once again, really informative and the presentation makes it easy to understand as someone without mining experience and just an interested viewer who likes metals
Good job 👍. I really love your videos. One of these days. Let me know when you’ve worked that equipment enough for a mark down price 😉😎
Dude - I dont usually comment on your vids, but really enjoy them.... This one is awesome... I love the rain, and the just getting out there and doing it. Chur from New Zealand.
My sentiments are the same as the positive comments below. Nice one! 👏👍
Awesome video! Learned so much!
Where do you buy your smelting wool? I do not know how to spell it, but I believe the wool is less expensive than a furnace of various types and sizes.
I really do enjoy your videos and learn a lot.
Man, You are living the life. That looks so fun. I would love to do that one day. So much fun. Please be careful going out there alone. You should really have a partner with you just Incase anything happens to you, you are not alone. Your truck is so awesome and so are your videos. I've been binge watching them. Very interesting content.
Very nice. Like the fact it's on the back of a truck. I'd prefer everything on a trailer so i could leave it at the claim, plus a little more room to play with the setup of the crushers. Can't wait to see yall work that mine. Yall stay safe out there
