Minecraft will always be my forever game, was introduced to it back in 2011 by my babysitter when I was 7. That game pretty much became my entire personality from then on to like 2015 lol. Its fun to hop in and see how the game has changed every year or so. Great video btw!

Fun fact: Minecraft *used* to have tutorial levels over a decade ago, at least on the xbox 360 version. Since then they have been long removed, and are now just a nostalgic memory for myself and many others that makes me feel old despite the fact im not even 20 yet.

Seriously, though. The collision detection on this game is still a mess. If I fall while crouching, get hit by an arrow that stuck into the tree behind me or take damage from a successful block, I'm flying right back in creative mode.
I also hate building in survival so I'll often switch to creative, build, then go and dump the equivalent amount of resources in my trash incinerator.

I still remember waiting patiently while my brother was afk, and heard a hissing sound… suddenly I heard a kaboom and the screen go red saying “You Died.” I just sat there awkwardly, too hesitant to tell my brother what just happened 😅

Ever since Minecraft first came out, I’ve been at war with myself over whether I want to love it for its vast and immersive world, or hate it for its blocky and pixelated graphics. I have yet to actually play it either way.

Fck, this reminds me of our first server. My friend breeds chickens all day in his house to the point where we would avoid his house because of how laggy it is. That's until my other friend decided that enough is enough and killed a bunch of them.

3:36 Fun Fact: In Minecraft: Java Edition, you can Right Click Banners with a Map to set Map Markers, and if you rename a Banner in an Anvil, its name will appear on the Map.
Now, why this feature is exclusive to Java Edition, and not in the version you're playing, I couldn't tell you, but if you ever Java Edition, the feature could come in handy.

I really don't understand why one version _has_ to be objectively superior. They both got ups and downs, so why can't both playerbases just coexist peacefully.
Because Java is the default version of Minecraft, and the best version of minecraft. Bedrock is the remake that's designed to run on every platform.

Something cool about older Minecraft versions was Tutorial Worlds, which not only Taught you the game mechanics but were just straight up great worlds made by the developers. I miss them so much

You probably wont see this but if you craft a map with a compass in the middle you can see where you are on the map and add landmarks if you put one in a item frame.

That chicken pit reminds me of when I first started playing Minecraft. I would go build random shit in creative just to test the limits of the game and see what I could do, and then whenever I distracted by something else, it would always be in the middle of some other hideous creation, so nothing ever got done ether.
And that's my excuse for why I've never actually beaten Minecraft.

I feel this video on so many levels. 1. Im 37, work in a factory and moonlite as a Mod on a minecraft server, a number of 7 days to die servers, a handful of Ark:SA servers and a palworld server. 2. My Children (5 and 9) introduced me to your channel and it stuck. 3. I constantly feel like an old sos with some of the people i deal with.
