Been trying to rent one of these for years, I just can’t justify purchasing one for my business, but maybe someday, such a beautiful piece of equipment.
I need to get one of these to make Bonsai soil. Can you adjust the plates closer together to get a finer grade? Would you run the gravel through again to get something like 1/4-?

Jason nice video showing the jaw crusher. Maybe I am just lazy, but can't you use a bobcat or excavator to load the jaw crushers and be more productive?
I'm interested in purchasing a jaw crusher up here in Ontario Canada. Do you know of any suppliers up here? Or can your unit be purchased and shipped to Ontario?
Hey Jason Curious about processing bedrock, I see in the mining shows that sometimes they will run bedrock through there wash plants and get pretty good gold. Would it be worth it to crush the bedrock and process it through your system? Have you done it before? Have you guys considering different size wash plants from small scale on up?

Math is interesting assuming recycle of a 10' x 50' concrete driveway. Est 160 cu/ft of demo'd slab = 24000lb/12 US tons. Crusher through-put at 3TPH = 4hrs crusher feed time. Resulting crushed product is 12T/+-8 cu yards. Dump tip fee and trucking to get rid of 12T concrete rubble is +-$500. 8cu/yards of crushed concrete has resale value of +-$200 plus trucking It's unlikely that a simple driveway replacement would require 12T of added stone, so either sub-base dirt or stone would still need to loaded/hauled away for grade match. worst case even if the stone was exchanged for free haul-away, contractor would eliminate $500 in rubble dump fee. Added cost would be ownership/operation of the crusher and several man/hrs crusher feed time. Assuming capital investment of $25000 and 10yr useful life =$2500/yr rough depreciation Assuming +-$3.00 P/T crusher maintenance/operation?? Financial impact of 50 driveway jobs yr at 500Sq Ft each = 600 tons of rubble $9000 added onsite through-put labor $1800 crusher maint/operation cost $2500 annual crusher depreciation ------------------------------------------ $13300 annual crusher cost ($25000) annual dump fees $11700 potential annual crusher profit* *There's probably some up-side profit potential depending on how the crushed concrete is managed In this scenario the crusher is simply a dump-fee eliminator. Local dump fees are the big variable. Some added labor will be expended fracturing rubble small enough to feed the crusher VS load/haul/dump. A metal extracting magnetic conveyor is required for any of this to make sense. Conveyor will require suitable, portable electrical source (not described on the video). Still an $11700 annual return for $25000 invested isn't bad.
@Daniel Stevenson Depending on your contract sales, this type machine seems like something to check out. I'm not sure if this company offers a self contained magnet w/gen set, but that feature is likely a necessity when recycling slabs to gravel. Magnet setup requires a fair amount of current. Also on-site slab to gravel processing would probably be slower VS conventional slab demo/load/haul/dump. Logistically better to haul demo slabs to your own yard to crush away from the jobsite, at your convenience. OTH, if you could get crushed product hauled away from your job-site for free, it might eliminate the need of owning a dump truck at all.
observation: Crushed stone is available in most cities and somewhat affordable. You could landscape several nice homes for the price of that but still need the stone.
That looks more like about 120-150 rpm instead of the stated 300. I would like to build one with a smaller motor. It appears the motion amount and direction is critical in design. Also rpm must match in the psychics aspect. High rpm shorter stroke with the plate or low rpm with greater stroke? The slow stroke being more powerful because it allow motor to be geared down more.
Pretty good video. If only you learned how to wear a microphone it could have been acceptable. Because I couldn't hear what you had to say, I don't really know what you are trying to promote, but it looks interesting.

Where do I get to see one of these in Canada? Nova Scotia has a major mining operations happening on the small scale.
This is really awesome. Do you think there is a market still for something like this to go and break up rocks etc? I welcome your responses.
What a great little unit

God help these folks. It hurts to diss a fellow seattlite but i can assume based off their ideas they are green heads to the industry
It needs an electric trailer jack!
Pretty doubtful there's be anybody willing to feed a crusher by hand that isn't too lazy to crack a jack by hand.
Great, thanks for the tip!
I want
Then Go Buy !
👍
Even chinese units will crush satisfactory if you hand pick the material and then hand feed it😂😂😂😂😂
