I recommend bringing a portable luggage scale, especially for those who like to bring a lot of stuff back from Japan. It saved me a lot of time and stress as i didn't have to re-pack at the airport.
Every hotel I've ever been to in Japan had a bunch of vending machines on site... except one in Hakone 😭. Since I couldn't buy any bottles of water when I woke up I started my day with a non-alcoholic beer! I learned my lesson the fun way lol
Can i add 1 to the items needed.... Internet/mobile data, i almost forgot mine 😅....Remember to buy & activate your roaming OR buy esim/physical sim card when going to Japan....Yes, big cities like Tokyo & Osaka have free internet but if you're planning to go somewhere on the outskirts, then it is necessary.
Pharmacies were great for the bath items I avoided carrying in my luggage. Something I found interesting was when I went bouldering and needed skin cream, but at the pharmacy I asked for lotion. They had no idea what I was talking about. I eventually figured it out. 😂

Best to bring slippers if your feet are large. A lot of people find hotel slippers too small.
Am traveling now for 3 months in Asia with just a small backpack and 7kg of clothes. Almost each hotel has coin laundry. 🙏🙏
