It’s ez. Get a better computer
you can adjust your graphics settings… i have a HP laptop with custom settings:
low: objects, lighting
medium: sims (can be low as well), reflections, visual, 3D scene
high: edge smoothing, view distance
uncompressed sim textures toggled off (cant tell a difference)
also, keep your script mods to a minimum, clear your localcache often in your files, delete maxis’ content in your library, and toggle online features off, only toggle it on only when you need to use the gallery.

Hi, I downloaded everything correctly, but when using the reshade it gives a red look.
I have everything downloaded correctly cause it said it was installed successfully. And I made sure I clicked fan sims in the bar at top when u press the home button . But my game still looks the same? Any reason why?

Sorry to be a bother but does anyone know how to stop reshade from shifting my screen. With sims 4 when I click on any effect it shifts my game down-right by a bit each effect to the point it messes with the interface. Im not sure why its doing that or how to fix it.
the loading message popped up but then it says "There were errors compiling some effects"

when I went into the game the pop up at the top was lagging alot and then eventually I think it said something abt an error and then it exited me out of the game completely..

if you got sims on steam then your bin folder will be in your steam folder. program files 86 > Steam > steamapps > common > The Sims 4 > Game > Bin. this is probably obvious but i was confused for like 20 mins lol

Alot hahha about 101 GB of CC & Mods. I don't recommend putting too much cc that ur pc or laptop can't handle.

So i put the reshade preset that you have in the right place but when i go into the game my sims are really dark
Try lowering some of setting see if that works

@@karljjr sometimes it's dark, then it changes to normal then back to dark
hi, i played around with the settings and turning off both mxao's made the darkness go away for me

@@hadisezulajeva9731 nooo! i gave up trying to add a shader bc my computer and reshade itself didnt look or work properly and like others. i find my the sims 4 folder in electronic arts now and origin isnt anywhere to be seen.

Ok so this video helped me sooo much the only thing is I don't know how to get to the 'home' menu to change the reshade. Once I entered the game I saw the bar across the top but I couldn't do anything else as far as switching the reshade after that.
There should be a home button on your computer

For me, I've NEVER used the home button to get to my reshade menu
It's always been holding the shift+f2 buttons (press shift then press f2 while still holding shift).
I dont know if this will work for y'all but this is how it is for me so maybe it can help?
