@@CJ-ry3jc you can't do that with a play station you need a pc for mods and cc ( i use to play on a ps4 too but i wanted mods so i switched to pc( pc is a computer )

Why to have that tho if they'd abandone most of those lifestages and keep adding stuff only for young adults. Suff for lifestages like from 1-5 would be no different that toodlers now, next two would be just like children are, and 18 is a teen so copy and paste of young adults but thinner in hips and with no free time :v

The SIms really needs preteen sims! The age up from child to teen always seems like a huge age gap.
It really is !!
In my opinion even in Sims 3, the child seems to be 10 years old and the teenager seems to be like 16 years old. Maybe 17 years old.

@@DanielTAKD Child’s are about 5 or 6, 10 year olds don’t really play with toys and read toddler books, and practicing movement. My 8 year old sister is nothing like a child on sims, but she’s still a child.

i wish there were in-between lifestyles where they would age up without needing a birthday (as in, they wouldn't get sad if you don't make them a cake) that way there could be little kids, big kids, pre-teens/tweens, and even adult sims would start going grey a bit before they became elders. for me the ideal stages would be:
baby: birth-1
toddler: 1-3
litte kid: 3-5
kid- 6-10
pre/young teen- 11-13
teen: 14-18

Completely agree with this.Im tired of my kid sims that are older tweens/preteens playing with dolls and toys.Im not agaisnt older ppl playing with dolls or anything but it doesn't work with my story.
Also the teens in the game or way too tall. They need to be shorter than the adult sims. Like the toddler stages, I wish the pre-teen stage had big small medium cuz through ages 6 -12 a kid IRL wouldn't be the same height through all those ages. Young teens like 13 and 14 should be just a bit bigger than pre-teens and little more developed than pre-teens, then 16, and 17 they should start to look older and get a bit taller, than at 18 they reached their full adult high (I know in real life you stop growing at like 17)

There's also a shorter teen preset by niveasims that looks like they're 14-16

Id love to see more children ages but they'd be incredibly short life stages if you don't want to extend the life stages of adults too. If you kept a normal age length with all the kid stages, their parents would be elders by the time they were "9". I wouldn't want to bother dressing my kids up in cas every 2 sims days after aging up.
With MCC you can custom the length of your life stages. You can make childhood last as long as you want. I don't like the presets so i make my own.
@@lenabillare4443 that works in this case if you're already using a mod and you also have MCC, but I see a lot of people wishing it was actually added to the sims in the basegame, which I think would be nice to have more ages but it would need major changes to aging WITHOUT MCC

Some people play with aging turned off so they can choose when their kid ages up. I'm doing a series with mine that includes ages. I didn't know about these presets until literally five minutes ago. In my game, sims are toddlers from 10 months to five years. Ten months because by then, babies are moving around, maybe walking, so the sims 4 babies are too underdeveloped but the toddlers are too mature for a ten-month-old because of their talking abilities and height. So for someone who doesn't play with aging turned on, this would be beneficial, especially if they like playing with ages.
@@ashleylarocque4500 it works for people who play with aging off sure which makes it a fantastic mod, but for wanting it to actually be part of the game doesn't work for ALL sims players. I play on short lifespan to keep legacy saves fun and exciting. I never touch long lifespan or aging off, and I know many other do the same. If it were added to the game, people would be forced to play on long or no aging if they wanted their preteen for more than 2 days, so it just doesn't makes sense for it to be a permanent feature of the game itself. I think this is still a really cool mod for players that age their kids up whenever they deem fit, just arguing why it doesn't make sense to be part of the game :) 👍

For The Sims 5, instead of going straight from a child to a teen, they should add preteens! And idk how, but I feel like there should be some sort of stage between adult and elder (like a middle-age stage)
Yeah, when i think of an adult, i think like 30 or something, so going from that to a 80 yr old is kinda weird

I really wish sims would make an expansion pack which does what's showcased in this video. Maybe it can be called "ages" or something. The main thing it would do would be add two extra ages (babies and pre-teens) and when you click on a certain age in cas, it has two stages.
Something like this:
Babies: New born (Less than 6mths), Babies (6 to 12mths) --- I really would like to be able to dress and edit babies' appearances, that's why I included them
Toddlers: Toddlers (2-3 yrs), Young Kids (4-5 yrs)
Children: Kids (6-8 yrs), Big Kids (9-10 yrs)
Pre-Teens: Tweens (11-12 yrs), Young Teens (13-14 yrs)
Teens: Teens (15-16 yrs), Older Teens (17-19 yrs)
Apart from that maybe there would also be some clothes and build items that are more for the older teens or items that are for the tweens (not childish but not too mature either)
I'd definitely buy the pack if it ever happens. Mods will do for now :D

If I wanted to may myself in the Sims:
I’m 13 years old but am basically the height of a preteen still. I wouldn’t put myself as a teen, I’m not that tall and turned 13 like 2-3 months ago. I wouldn’t necessarily put myself as a child because I’m not really that age anymore or have that body anymore... preteen suits better because it’s newly a teenager pretty much. Most girls my age have hit puberty so they wouldn’t be a child or teen either-

Around your age I was also really confused what life stage my sim self should be😭 I remembered those struggles omg
My favorite subject in school definitely changed based on who my teacher was, since I went from hating math one year to loving it the next because my new teacher made it so easy and enjoyable to learn. I think English consistently was one of my favorites except for the one year that I had a very strict and overbearing teacher - so for anyone who's reading this: if you really really hate a certain subject then try to change teachers!! Having a teacher you vibe with can really make a difference in how much you enjoy learning something, and it's a lot easier getting good grades if you actually feel motivated to learn!

I’m 13 and I made a sims family of mine and I had to choose the child because the teen is to tall. I really hope that the sims will make 12-17 year olds cause the teens now look exactly like the young adults

Also, a small tip: When you're trying to compare sims by getting them to sit/stand next to each other and they keep on wandering off, you can temporarily turn off or limit the autonomy in the settings ;)

im most definitely adding the preteen bit to my game, even though i have the preteen mod. teens look around 16, the preteen mod 13/14, child base sims 7/8. the preset you showed in this for preteens is more like 10/11 which i love!! the toddlers is also a game changer, because toddlers walking around to being full grown children doesnt make much sense. having that 5/6 stage will be so nice! thanks!

The reason we don’t have height in the game is because it’s too hard! Ea would have to add new animations for every possible height so that there’s no glitch, so thank GOD we have modders

I still cannot make my mind about more age options. For sure there is a big difference between 5yo and 10yo and there is a huge difference between 13yo and 19yo even though technically they are both teens. Thank you for this video to see how they'd look ❤️

This is such a good idea! Question though, does the height for the baby's and toddlers affect certain animations? Like highchairs, baby toys, or potty training? Also my favorite subject in school was French!
A tad bit yes on some animations like for instance the 5 year old will have a space in between chairs when he sits but for that I just place a pillow on the couch to fill the gap and then it looks fine

I’m trying to reply to all the comments but for some reason some comments I can’t reply to so to answer the main question : why is t it showing up is it might be conflicting with other mods I. Your folder so remove everything first and only insert the 3 mods in the description box. See if it works if it does hat means it’s conflicting and slowly add back your mods to see which one it conflicts with. Ask make sure you add all three it won’t work if you don’t have the crilender cas unlock mod

I recommend Redhead's Luumia height presets for kids and teens as well, however, the shortest Luumia teen preset doesn't seem to function well.

There's another mod I use which is a teen slider, I put the slider at it's shortest point for the age 14-15 then add a bit more for 16-17 :)
I'd group them like this:
Baby: 0 months - 9 months
Toddler: 10 months - 4 years
Child: 5 years - 10 years
Pre-teen: 11 years - 12 years
Young Teen: 13 years - 14 years
Teen: 15 years - 18 years
Young Adult: 18 years - 34 years
Adult: 35 years - 59 years
Elder: 60 years+
Love the video. Love that you got straight to the point! My only recommendation recommendation to skip the scene transitions when editing the video. They're too much. You won't see many successful video editors using transitions anymore, especially the slow ones. Other than that, great job! Got yourself a new sub from me :)
