Have been concerned about you, your crew, your country along with everyone on the planet affected by fires and floods. Sending love and light from Texas.
Thank you for mentioning British Columbia. Our skies are smoky and I’m far from the big fires. Keep your shows coming. You and your crew give joy every week.
The introduction to this episode touched my heart. After spending 6 years in Turkey as a child and living with my extended Turkish family thru marriage.. My heart has been forever touched and enriched by growing up American in a Turkish household. I currently live in Oregon and am surrounded by the wild fires on all sides. My father lives in Iskenderun with his Turkish wife and her family. All are in my heart and prayers. Blessings to all!!!
Hi I'am in Australia where we have very bad bushfires every year and all I can do is give you my moral support as I emphasise with you about your situation , the whole world has changed and covid hasn't helped , so keep your head up and hope your problems go away fast as we are only a few months away from our fire season and half of our country is in lockdown , cheers Alister .
A older much wiser woman taught me something I'd like to pass on to you! Gods gifts to us is our talents and passions, our gift back to him is how we use them. When times are really tough and heart breaking God's desire is for us to be a beacon to him with light and joy. I don't think you realize what a beacon you and your crew really are. You all bring joy and happiness into the homes of many who just need a smile and warm feeling if not for just a moment. It is ok to be joyful in the mist of sadness it is what we call hope. Thank you for posting this video many have been worried about your safety and thank you for bringing us joy today! Many prayers from Texas where zucchini are in full season!
I'm an ex forester who fought many forest/wildfires, so my heart goes out to you all. I just wish I was young & fit enough to volunteer to help you out. I hope you can bring things under control very soon. I can just imagine the baked version with a couple of eggs baked on top... that would be a perfect meal. Though the fried version looks very tempting too. Nice addition of the mahaleb seeds, not seen those used in a long time. Stay safe & my thoughts are with Turkey & Greece... the countryside that is burning is so beautiful & the people are very special in my heart.
The intro moved me to tears. I'm sending all so much love and light. We really must listen to Mother Earth. She is screaming for an intervention. I cannot wait to try this one! I'm going to substitute the wheat flour. I just have to experiment to see what works best. My mouth is watering in anticipation. I have some red pepper paste that might be tasty, too.
The introduction to this episode brought me to tears, even through a year has passed. I have many Turkish friends in Halifax, Canada. I also have a Turkish great nephew through marriage. I love the Turkish culture and food. The world is burning, life is precious...Rafika has so much heart that it permeates her recipes. Thank you for contributing your warm heart with all of us
You're such a VERY precious woman, Refika! I hope all your family is safe from the devastation in Turkey. I'm a native Californian, and without getting too political, our biggest problem is that our gov't leadership has refused to allow us to clear our forest underbrush, which creates these ideal situations. They then report on "droughts" bc they only show which years of weather will be advantageous to their narrative. *Sending Love & Prayers to You & ALL of Your Viewers! Thank YOU for ALL the Kindness & JOY You Spread!*
With heavy heart and much weeping I send love, light and healing to all you precious people of Turkey and the whole world in times of such chaos and disasters. Take care my lovely friends ❤😭
We are only reminded of how miniscule we are in front of mother nature. Let's do our bit to not strip her off for our greed. Heartfelt wishes for everyone going through a tough time. Hang in there..
My mother used to make these for us when I was growing up. Her version is very much like yours. Thanks for sharing. You should do taze fasulye. It is my absolute favorite. I watched your Turkish video on it. I make it all the time to take to events in the summer and everyone always loves it.
The message in the beginning touched me BEYOND my heart I couldn’t stop my tears from falling. Our world needs unity more than ever. We need to go back to basics and live as natural and organic as possible our earth gave us so much more than enough to survive without the need for all these chemicals and so on that has harmed our earth with time. It’s only fair that we show our earth some respect in return. Hope all with be ok with turkey and all countries that going thru disasters now.
First of all I am so glad that you guys are OK. I was worried. Secondly my heart goes out to you and everybody in your country affected by what's going on.. Please know you are all in my prayers. Stay strong and safe and love each other until these dangers have passed.
I have no TV so had not heard of these tragic events in yoyr beautiful country. But I have been missing your wonderful recipes and cheerful crew. Such sad times for so many. Thank you for continuing to share with us, and bless your caring hearts. These zucchini fritters are wonderful with a big bunch of chopped mint in them. Very summery!
As soon as I hear about the situation I thought of you all my dear friends, and I prayed for your hurting country. I pray for comfort for those who have suffered loss and for strength and wisdom to move forward 🙏 Thank you for another great recipe. I love vegetables and I've made a variety of different kinds of dishes but I will definitely have to try your fritters as they look really really good (as usual 👏) and I can always tell bu the team's reaction as they eat that the food is deeeeeelicious.
Loved the video praying for all those too around the world who are in Forrest fires and floods too Take care be safe love your food I’m in the 🇺🇸 USA. Love Bella
Found your videos today! They are fantastic. So sorry for all you are going through. In California we are having fire and drought. Your videos help us all to have plant based diets and save our health and the planet! May you be blessed as you are a blessing to others!
Praying for you and your beautiful Country and all the Countries suffering from one calamity or another. May God Almighty heals and bless you, your Country and all the Countries suffering, Amin.
Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with all our brothers and sisters who are experiencing these terrifying events. Sending love, strength and compassion xxxx
Happy to know you guys are all ok! In your own lovely way, you bring the world so much healing. And we are, and will be in big need of healing! Thoughts and prayers for all victims, fauna and flora, of climate change. 💚💚💚
Refika we do this exactly the same in South Africa. Potato/onion, sweet pumpkin/cinnamon and mildly spiced corn versions are particularly popular with kids. Best of luck to your wonderful, beautiful country and people. My heart is there always.
Thank you, Refika’s team, for the sensitive and supportive message at the start of your video.. I hope your team members haven’t suffered directly from the floods or fires. We are going through trying times, worldwide.
Missed you last week and was concerned about all of you in Turkey. Not sure about all this weather chaos being global warming or a natural cycle, but whatever it is causing great suffering. Prayers for you all from New Zealand.
I share your concern for Turkey and all the places suffering drought, high temperatures and fire this week. I'm not sure what will convince you that global warming is destroying the planet, if you won't believe the scientists' consensus on it. I happen to live in the country with the world's worst carbon emitter-- the US military. Yeah, USA is number 1! 🇺🇲🤪🔥

Much appreciation for your waste-less philosophy. I use squeezed vegetable water when I make stock. I pour it into a freezer container then pop it into the stock pot with my various leavings (which I also freeze until I have enough).

Refika you have changed my life so so so much - I've done so many of your recipes and have never been let down! It's to a point I started looking at your non-english channel for more haha! I've got some cucumbers in the fridge waiting to be made into mucver and I'm very excited! That said, I hope you guys are faring well - these times have truly been so rough sometimes I find myself speechless sometimes.. sending you and those affected my love and compassion.

Sending prayers for the people of Turkey. Thanks Refika for this amazing recipe. It's similar to the variety of fritters we make here in India, which are mostly without egg. Definitely looking forward to trying this version though.
Hello from Oregon! Yes there are fires all over the world right now. The world recorded its hottest July ever, and August isn’t looking any better. We are praying for relief. Not just for Oregon, but for the world.
Thank you for the touching introduction. I am from British Columbia Canada and there are 270 active wildfires right now in our province. We do our part by using less water so that our firefighters can use the water to fight the wildfires as we are also experiencing drought. I pray all the fires in the world will ease up soon and pray for everyone’s safety. Please stay positive and be safe.

I'm so glad your video popped up! Many warm greetings and wishes from Australia 🇦🇺 we suffer many fires and natural disasters every year and I completely understand how you feel, our prayers and thoughts go out to all those suffering around the world!
İ like to cook mücver without onions but with feta cheese and tons of herbs (parsil, ciboulette, mint). İ consider the best combination is to eat it with a intense garlic cacık ! One of the best picnic treats!
Lovely to see you and your team are safe and well. I'm struggling to find food that tastes of home for my very elderly father and that is really soft enough for him to now eat. I'm going to try your baked version for him and we'll be having your crunchy appetizer version....now I just need to order some malep seeds. P S. I loved the music as you were making the fritters, can you share the name of the tune with us?

ישראל עוזרת עכשו ביוון שלחנו צוותים לשרפות וחילוץ ומטוסי כיבויי.
בריאות והצלחה מישראל 🇮🇱❤🇹🇷

I absolutely love watching you… I am intrigued with Turkish cuisine. Thank you, from Ontario, Canada
Thank you too 🙏❤️
Oh the mushroom one would be interesting too!!!
I'm so glad your video popped up! I have a bowl of zucchini cores in the fridge and mum asked me to make them into fritters but I forgot😅 fun fact in Lebanon this dish is very common too it's called 'ejje.
Many warm greetings and wishes from Australia 🇦🇺 we suffer many fires and natural disasters every year and I completely understand how you feel, our prayers and thoughts go out to all those suffering around the world!
Sending love and prayers to the people suffering across the globe. Also you have a wonderful and dream team!
