The recipes are amazing as always, but what I really loved in this video was the end. Hearing the stories of the shop owners and chefs in Antakya was wonderful. I hope they rebuild soon and can share their food with the world once again!
Wow Refika, I knew that you as a humanitarian-minded Turkish citizen you'd be affected by the earthquakes and have always sympathised, but I wasn't aware of your connections there. Thanks so much for sharing that, and for promoting such lively and talented people so significantly impacted by the disaster! I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers, and the recovery of all within the affected areas.

This is my favorite episode ever! I love all of the vegan dishes and they looked sooo delicious. God bless all of the beautiful people you spoke about and all of those in the earthquake regions.
Hello Refika I came across your UA-cam a few months ago and am now a subscriber, I find your energy and knowledge about food and its ingredients very appealing. In planning our vacation I have include a 5 day stop in Istanbul. We have rented an apartment close to the Galata Tower and are now researching places to visit. I am hoping you can recommend some restaurants we should try while in Istanbul. God Bless you for all the humanitarian work you and your staff are doing for the earthquake victims. Thank you from Vancouver, Canada
I purchased the grill pan. It arrived this week. I absolutely love it. It saves my stovetop and keeps it much cleaner. It is a terrific kitchen tool. ❤
Refika, your beautiful soul is reflected in your cooking. God bless you for promoting and trying to help the people from the earthquake. We in Malta are on the same Hellenic plate as Turkey and had a very scary 5.5 magnitude last week. ❤ Marina.
Oooooh, I had something very similar to CEVİZLİ BİBERLİ when I was in Georgia years ago. Wow, the memories! Thank you for keeping the focus on the regions that will need long term help to recover.
Refika, I live in a village 7km from the city centre of Antakya. I respect your hopeful message but the situation is horrible. We drove through the centre today to go to a makeshift post office. I hope that the life will return here but I think it will take 10 years :(
Thank you for your video your recipes are looking very delicious. Prayers are still going up for all who are still suffering from the terrible earthquakes. God bless and be safe!🐞🦬❤️
Refika So encouraging to hear that you are supporting the devastated area of southern Turkiye. Great recipes and thanks for sharing. Always in our prayers ❤❤❤

Hello dear Refika. Thank you for sharing so much about your country with us through your passion for food and for the people who produce it. I have already learned so much from you. Many of your dishes have already been shared with friends and family around me, many of whom have never eaten Turkish food. I will keep sharing the beautiful recipes you teach us and praying for the country of Turkey, especially the areas still struggling after the earthquake damage. Much love! ❤
Good evening from romania. Thiis recipes are fantastic specialy eksileme i never eat ill try all of them.thnks for sharing turkish cuisine.i love turkye, the culture and specialy the turkish soul and the turkish hospitality wich i never felt în other country. Hugs from Romania ❤❤❤
Turkish food is just gorgeous. I always look forward to your bubbly presentations. I think you are a warm and caring person who is a lot of fun. Wee question: Does the bulgur in the last recipe need cooking?
Thank you for your kind wishes dear 🙏🏻 yes you can totally cook this grain using the soaking method. All you gotta do is boil some water and pour it over the grains in a bowl. Then just chill and wait for the bulgur wheat to cook itself by getting bigger! ❤️
My heart goes out to those who perished in this devastating earthquake. I watched in horror the events of those days and agonized and rejoiced every time a life was saved from under the rubbles... I wish health and happiness to those who survived, hope their wounds heal and they live happy and full lives. ♥♥
Antalya (Antioch to western ears) has an incredibly rich Christian history. It is sad enough to see devastation from natural disasters, but when it comes from hate and frustration and little hope, it is especially grievous. Prayers for the people there, and everywhere in Turkey where there is so much loss and suffering. So very proud of what you and your team are doing to help. To respect what they have contributed and restore dignity is priceless. 🤗❣️💞
Antakya not Antalya. The other name is Hatay. There was the earthquake. The first Christian church was build there, but I do not know if it is now demaged because of quake. AntaLya/Demre is where Saint Claus comes from.
