Just picked up an i90 today it had one mark I can’t even find so I got it for 100 bucks new. I can’t believe the quality of these helmets for the price. I just bought a motocross helmet two weeks ago for 3 times the money and it’s no where near as nice or comfortable as this. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking into helmets like this. I couldn’t find another modular helmet with Bluetooth options like this and the sun shade for anywhere near this price that isn’t junk. Very happy I think this is my favorite helmet I’ve ever owned.
A bit late to the party but thank you so much for this. I would have really struggled with some parts of the installation without the help of this very thorough guide.
You have stopped me going mad peering at the pathetic instruction pamphlet trying to figure out what the tiny drawings meant. In the instructions it tells you about the app but when you go to the app store you discover it's not for poor boys with the the 10B. Having said that the helmet paired with my phone in about ten seconds do all good. Thanks again,
That slightly dangling connector between cheekpad and helmet, as well as the controls clip made me shiver a little, but your guide was a big help! Cheers from Germany
It really doesn't feel nice to force it on there but once its seated its rock solid. I was so scared I was going to break something this entire install.
Man, just fit mine this evening watching your video, honestly delighted with the sound, just need some tuning with the eq on my phone and enjoy my music! Rides are gonna be so much better!
Hi Brian, Great Vid. I have an HJC i90 Modular Helmet Carbon. Disassembly was a breeze because of your institutions. Important: For those with a Cardo Palk Talk or Non-Sena:, The Boom mike is a PITA with this helmet. Mounting it is possible but it does not fit well and it's in the way. Using the chin curtain makes it even worse. The solution is using the regular mike and stick it to the front side of the left cheek pad. Hope this may help others with Cardo's.
Great tutorial!! I just bought two i90s for my wife and I along with the 10B. Looking forward to getting it set up. I like your watch. I'm guessing Invicta. Very nice. Thanks for the video.
This was very helpful in my endeavor to install in helmet. I advise anyone else to do all the downloads, updates, pairing of Bluetooth ,intercom, use of GPS,voice commands, all functions of your 10B,20B,30A first then actually place inside helmet. Yes I learned the hard way,and it took me forever. But I enjoy it now!
Thanks so much for this video... not sure I would have done it so fast without your awesome video! There should be a link in the instructions from the manufacturer to this video.

Thank you very much for the instructions. Helped a lot with the assembly! I only had to mount the micro the other way around than shown, because it didn't hold up like that, it kept jumping out of the bracket.
Great video and I agree the direction (mini pictures) that come with the 10B are horrible. They should just supply a link to this video which if much easier. Well done.

This is so incredibly helpful. Those packed in instructions were _useless._ I've gotten model kits from China with better step-by-step illustrations and they didn't cost anything close to what this does. Shameful on Sena's part.
Great instructions. One comment. I think you have the mic backwards. Unless Sena has changed from their 30k mic design, the "fin" on the mic faces away from you... and the "fin" is on the "grate" side, not the "slot" side.
Correct, there is a groove into the channel where that mic piece fits turned the other way. making it flush on the side facing the cheekpad. Glad I wasn't the only one who thought installing backwards from what he said was a better fit.
Hello and thanks for the helpful explanation. At 0:52 and 26:00 the perch for the mic looks shorter. Is it possible to have a different position to install it?
You are welcome and thank you for watching. The method I show in this video shows what I understand to be the only position the mic can be installed in. - Van

The one we used for this video sounded great. I have an old Cardo in my sled helmet and it sounded better than that for sure. I would start by reaching out to Sena. They have some reasonable support. For reference I was using an iPhone 10 XS Max and it sounded great, both calls and music. - Van
I have not tired that with this unit but I have a Sena I use on my snowmobile that I have used while having an external battery pack attached to recharge it. - Van
Very informative video! I just have a question about the boom mic orientation. I've been looking into it and everywhere else I've been looking is saying that the side with the slit, it has a little triangle at the bottom, should be the side facing the rider, and the side with the grate should be facing away, is this true? Thanks!
Pretty sure I got the install right here with the boom mic as it sounded great when I tested it. It is easy to flip the mic so you could test both directions if you want to make sure. - Van
I just picked up 2 i90’s for us and I was thinking of going wireless. I only care about a wireless doing two things, nothing else and that is communication between us and getting my navigation prompts from the Harley Infotainment system. I’m pretty sure the 10b won’t talk to the infotainment system for my nav. Is there any piece of equipment that I can add that will let me?
you have to pick up the Whim modal from Harley and install. its a fairly simple install ,just expensive for what it is and has to be flashed by dealer.
If you can get the helmet on with the headphones in and keep it comfortable give that a shot. IMO having the speakers installed in the helmet is the way to go. You don't notice they are there until you turn it on. - Van

@@kenbred46 why buy , because had bluetooth ear buds and they are crap , tried my mates system and spot on and also dont really wanna speak to anybody when riding , personal choice mate is wonderful.
UPDATE ON MY SENA. Love this sytem , so loud and clear on the sat nav even over 70+ mph and with ear pugs in , spot on. Luv it.
Hello. Can it be used with the chin curtain?
Yes you can use this with a chin curtain in the helmet. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear care to explain please? I just don't understand how I'm supposed to keep the mic on it's position because when I flip the helmet jaw the mic gets stuck in the chin curtain
Thank you,

What was the sound quality like, I just got one after watching your great install but mine sounds really tinny, no bass or mid-tones, voices are really quiet when talking? Any ideas
The one we used for this video sounded great. I have an old Cardo in my sled helmet and it sounded better than that for sure. I would start by reaching out to Sena. They have some reasonable support. For reference I was using an iPhone 10 XS Max and it sounded great, both calls and music. - Van
Download a equalizer app for your phone. it will help smooth out the sound quality.
Can you use it while charging?
I have not tired that with this unit but I have a Sena I use on my snowmobile that I have used while having an external battery pack attached to recharge it. - Van
Very well done

Great Video Thanks 😊

Very informative video! I just have a question about the boom mic orientation. I've been looking into it and everywhere else I've been looking is saying that the side with the slit, it has a little triangle at the bottom, should be the side facing the rider, and the side with the grate should be facing away, is this true? Thanks!
Pretty sure I got the install right here with the boom mic as it sounded great when I tested it. It is easy to flip the mic so you could test both directions if you want to make sure. - Van
How do you recharge this you can't just plug it into a UBS port?
I just picked up 2 i90’s for us and I was thinking of going wireless. I only care about a wireless doing two things, nothing else and that is communication between us and getting my navigation prompts from the Harley Infotainment system. I’m pretty sure the 10b won’t talk to the infotainment system for my nav. Is there any piece of equipment that I can add that will let me?
Sorry we did this to help with the install of this system but do not really do a lot with communicators here at STG. - Van
you have to pick up the Whim modal from Harley and install. its a fairly simple install ,just expensive for what it is and has to be flashed by dealer.
Thank you sir

Feel like these things are obsolete with phone capabilities now, a 30 dollar set for bluetooth helmet headphones is more capable then communicators.
If you can get the helmet on with the headphones in and keep it comfortable give that a shot. IMO having the speakers installed in the helmet is the way to go. You don't notice they are there until you turn it on. - Van
You get what you pay for. Headphones let you hear and talk on your phone but they will not allow you to communicate with another rider.
