    Replaced, meaning they both have the same exact head shape? It seems like the i 10 is not as round as the CL-17.

    Nice review. Which do you think has better ventilation, the i10 or the Bell SRT?

    I found the arms on my plastic framed riding glasses too thick, and it irritated my ears after about an hour of riding. I went with some Ray-Ban aviators and they are much more comfortable. I love this helmet though!

      Hello, thanks for watching. Yeah different glass styles/designs can have an impact on how any helmet fits. Glad to see you found something that works. It really is a pretty good helmet.

    That snap won't stay snapped, I've seen three of these helmets in person and all had a problem of that snap popping loose when taking the helmet off. You might want to mention that to hjc for quality control.

      @@chaparralmotorsports that's great they will listen to you!
      Curious, I'm having trouble finding a helmet fits my nugget. I see all these recommendations on UA-cam of Icon helmets for people with long oval heads. I fell for the new Airflite as soon as I saw it. Went tried one on nearly ripped my ears off getting it on once on it felt like someone was trying give my ear a willy with a chunk of plastic. Horrible fit, and the shield mechanism felt like something from an early 90s Thh helmet. I've been looking everywhere the only thing I've tried so far that was even close was an agv K1, and a size L Shoei Gt air 2 which felt like was custom made for my head.
      I'm afraid since I ride a street fighter the Agv wouldn't be the best choice for these sticky east TN summers. The Shoei I just can't afford right now. Love it one of best fitting helmets I've ever put on but I have a kid and bills first.
      Do you have something that you would recommend that is more affordable but still a good quality sport touring helmet? I ride a Aprilia Tuono so virtually nothing for redirecting air blast.
      Thanks in advance, and keep up good work.

      Thank you for your detailed feedback. Helmets, windshields, gloves, oil and tires... All "headaches" eh? Hvae you tried an RPHA helmet or an AGV? Both of those I find to have a unique fit that I really liked. The RPHA was the lightest, best fitting and quietest helmet I had worn from say 2012 to 2017. I then began experimenting again and have not yet re-found the magic bullet. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

      It’s not perfect, but it’s a lot closer than some of my pricier helmets.

      Chaparral Motorsports thank you for replying.
      The HJC 17 is just so big. I have it for 2 years now and it's such a bubble helmet, it catches a lot of wind on a naked bike :( the i10 is the same shape huh??
      That's why I thought maybe a sleek agv would cut that wind resistance down.

    Looking at the i10, i70 and i90. Which is best if you wear glasses. What is the big difference between the 10 and the 70

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  2 роки тому

      Hello, all three helmets have glass grooves for eye glass fitment comfort. They have relatively the same features, the main difference is that the i90 is a modular helmet and the i70 is not. The i10 does not come with the drop down sun visor like the i70 and i90 do. So eye glass-wise they will all fit, it comes down to whether you want/need a modular helmet, a sun visor, and how much you want to spend--i10 least expensive, i90 most expensive of the three.

    HJC i10 vs AGV K1, which is better to choose?

    • @chaparralmotorsports
      @chaparralmotorsports  2 роки тому +1

      Hello, they are equal in many ways. It comes down to what's important to you. The AGV would be more of a premium fit/feel in this comparison, with really good ventilation, and is ECE/DOT approved.
      The HJC is less expensive, DOT/Snell approved and is directly ready for Smart HJC Bluetooth system. It does have good ventilation too.

    What does entry level mean ? It doesn't have as much protection as a more expensive helmet ?

    • @waterzap99
      @waterzap99 3 роки тому

      Just cheaper. This helmet is Snell 2020 certified. Much much better than DOT and as good as any helmet gets at the moment. The more expensive ones might be lighter, better fit for weird head shapes and nicer graphics. But they aren't necessarily safer than this helmet. I would take a cheaper Snell 2020 helmet over a more expensive non Snell any time.

    • @waterzap99
      @waterzap99 3 роки тому +1

      @@robpeters2296 I don't know. That's why Snell beats those helmets up like they do. If it's made of wood and passes Snell. It's safe. There are no Snell helmets with integrated sun visors for example. For some reason they don't pass. Honesty. If you want the best helmet. Search for Snell 2020 helmets. Pick the one you like. They are all good.
