- So this is my last London video, and I wanted to wrap up everything with a house tour and a little bit more info on the price of living and renting.
Hopefully, this video can come in handy if you're going to uni in London, moving for a job / internship or generally just curious!

For people complaining that this is expensive, this house is in an expensive area right next to a train station. Just a little further north (NW2) you get a room that is twice the size in a flat that is twice the size with half as many people living there and spend less on rent.

Live this way for 5 years max! Then get out before you become a hamster in a wheel, renting until u die. Learn, live, enjoy London but then set up your own biz outside of london. I did London for 13 long years, renting. But i set up my own biz abroad and quality of life is terrific.

Very true. Absolutely heart London but it’s definitely a rat race trying to belong there. Most people view it as a place to simply go for work but not to live. Go there, experience it, enjoy it but retire outside in a cheaper part of the UK. And I’m a born and bred Londoner but am being realistic. It’s TOO expensive to live here and raise your kids here indefinitely - unless you’re a millionaire - so realistically don’t make any plans to stay in London forever.

Grand if you are on big wages but if you were only getting minimum wage most of your money would be going on the rent. Works out around £800 per month for a room.
I know London has its advantages career wise but I'd rather move to a cheaper city with less wages we're money would go further.

Phinex Plays £700 ? A week or a month ? I have never seen a shared accommodation that pays £700 a week cuse that is the same as a months rent for a 1 or 2 bedroom house .

It’s more pricey in London’s as it’s the capital of England and it’s quite small with a lot of people in one city that’s why it’s more ex’s

What are some outer areas that are affordable even if not in close proximity, 30-45 mins out, to London? 💕✨

Sidcup and Debden/Loughton are really nice and you'd get a room like this for 550 or even under 500 pcm
Is this the student cost for renting - or for anyone renting - I’m not a student I do live in London and hoping to move out with very little knowledge of costs. Any help is appreciated thanks for the awesome video!
This was the cost for anyone renting, I've never come across anywhere that charges less for students. There are some student accommodations that are cheaper but you tend to have to share a bedroom and don't get much space or privacy.
The best advice I could give would be to make sure you research agencies online (check reviews) and then make appointments to visit the best ones in one day. Try to check out a few places within a few hours when you've found the perfect one secure it! Apartments/rooms come and go very fast in London so when you find a great one, you need to put the deposit down the same day!

U can rent a mansion for €800 here in Argentina.
I thought London was unpayable comparing to dutch prices. But the average in the main Cities in the Netherlands is 480-550 eu for a small room like that. If you go to the less fancy areas it's under 400 eu (€450 = £385

That’s the worst place to live in London safety wise it’s the best but living wise so expensive fuckin crazy expensive it’s because it’s literally 5 minutes away from central London and plus it’s city of Westminster

Depending on the size you could find a studio for about 600-1000
"Badrooms" are probably free. You need to just commit a crime and have one allocated for you for few years. Includes free food, and clothes, besides medical.

London house prices will fall for the next 20 years, while house prices in the North of England will rise. This has been shown in numerous studies.
I advise everybody with property in London to sell up ASAP and invest in the north.

@@maymunaharif2799 it's because she was renting under a licence agreement. That means she's only responsible for the rent for her room...not the whole house ..so if someone in the house moves out she and the other housemates aren't responsible for covering that rent or finding a replacement.
Under licence agreements you're actually not allowed to have a lock on your room as the house needs to be fully accessible to the licensor at all times.
I might be wrong ...but that's how it appears.
