a cool idea to make sphere slime not a joke, is for it to gradually speed up as it rolls, but also drift when trying to turn losing some of it's speed in the process. maybe it would deal more damage based on speed like the rocket slime?
Or make it so the infinity slimes can combine into bigger slimes when they run into each other, no matter the size difference between the sizes, they combine accordingly
it would be pretty funny if the mimic slime, when disguised as a chest, has a small chance to just be a BIG chest. Itd be very obvious that it would be a mimic but really funny to find in the wild imo

I feel like the no jump slime should still be able to move. If not they should at least be very strong or be called immobile slime I think it would be cool if firework slimes were able to shoot firework rockets as a form of attack as well :3 Edit: I’ll probably come back to this to add ideas that build off of Fundy’s slimes! Mimic slimes should be hostile and it should be able to mimic every single interactive block. I think the 50/50 chance of a chest being a mimic slime is a bit too common. I’m thinking maybe a 10% chance. The slimes should also turn back into the block they were mimicking, otherwise they are completely useless when a player exposes them. I think it would be funny if the spherical slimes had slippery movement.

This could introduce some short combos randomly occurring -When something physically hits the portal slime, there is a 50% chance of the portal slime swapping places with the attacker, meaning they have to turn around to attack it again. -The black hole slime just hits the victim(s) over and over again while they are in the black hole, instead of deleting them. I was going to comment this myself. Primitive Mobs was and still is one my favourite mob mods out there. It was also one of the first to add an actual mimic into game and also had a creeper that buffed other mobs.
How about making each slime spawn in a different biome or structure or in different ways? Some ideas: - Crystal and mimic slimes you already got figured out. - TNT slimes spawn in mineshafts. - Magnet slimes only spawn near those massive iron veins. - Ocelot spawns are sometimes replaced with cheetah slimes. - Rabbit spawns are sometimes replaced with rabbit slimes. - Enderman spawns are sometimes replaced with ender slimes, or from enderpearls same way endermites do. - Warden spawns are sometimes replaced with dark slimes. - Brain slimes only spawn in jungles. - One big lightning slime always spawns when lightning strikes. - Sphere slimes only spawn in plains. - Portal slimes can spawn from nether portals the same way zombie piglins do. - Gravity slimes spawn on the outer end islands. - Armored slimes can spawn in villages and serve the same purpose as iron golems but are always hostile towards the same mobs targeted by the iron golems, however they are also always hostile towards the player. - Camo and can spawn literally anywhere anytime but maybe with a separate mob cap if that's possible. - Invisible slimes can only be made by throwing an invis potion on a camo slime which will then permanently turn it into an invisible slime. - Firework slimes only spawn in a village after defeating a pillager raid, they are passive. (Not every slime has to be hostile right?) - Maybe glass cannon slimes can spawn during raids, only targeting the iron golems and armored slimes, cause they're tanky, and the player. The iron golems glass cannon slimes so the player has to look out for those or rely on armored slimes to not lose valuable allies during the raid. - Rocket slimes are the only ones that spawn in the nether, and can only spawn in nether wastes and fortresses, maybe you can also add that you can completely negate all damage from them with a shield. - Maybe you can make the no jump slimes buoyant and they only spawn in water? Not sure about this one. - Gas slimes can only spawn in Badlands, simply because that's where you showed them so might as well. You could maybe also add that if you hit a gas slime with a flame arrow it just explodes leaving no smaller versions. - Gust slimes spawn in deserts so you have little to no water to break your fall and it's all flat so you take maximum fall damage. (MUAHAHA) - maybe the rainbow and god slimes are like miniboss fights you can do to get stuff like diamonds or something. - Time and black hole slimes I have no ideas for. - And the infinite slime is a terrible idea to have in your world, probably better off to give it the giant treatment, only spawnable through commands. Any feedback or additional ideas are welcome. (Especially the time and black hole slimes.)

Can you do this but with phantoms? A few suggestions: A kamakazi phantom. A stuka phantom that plays the siren and drops tnt. An IRS phantom that steals gold/diamond/emeralds.
Maybe add a liquid slime because slime does have liquid in definition and it would be cool to be attacked by a liquid until someone references still water…

Mimic slimes should definitely only spawn from trapped chests and with a much lower spawn rate, it must be so annoying to try and play with this mod when you can't use chests
My personal favorite was the Crystal Slime. Although it didn't win in the end, I'm still happy that it got to the finals, and it's design and gimmick is super unique. Great video, by the way! 💜
Better solution for the mimic slime: Add an invisible item to chest loot tables. When the loot table is checked, check for item, spawn slime. When the slime is killed, it drops whatever else was in the chest.
How cool would it be to have animal related slimes? Like fox slimes, wolf slimes, and even ender-dragon slimes. For an idea, fox slime could have the ability to steal items or Armor, wolf slime you can befriend, etc.. :3
I am gonna go with the rainbow slime. It is less likely to find itself in an impossible battle but it also isn't as dangerous to it's own kind as the god slime.

A couple suggestions for the tnt slime, if you intend to keep working on this mod: -for large explosions use multiple explosions spawning in a sphere around the slime, single minecraft explosions suck when they have a potency higher than that of a charged creeper because they do those ugly squares and small rays going off everywhere -add a way to stop them from exploding because otherwise it's impossible to get rid of them (either that or make them start to explode when damaged, giving you time to kill them before they can do it)
A lot of these are way too destructive or wacky, but some like Brain Slime and Crystal Slime would be genuinely cool additions to the base game! It reminds me of the slime biome variants in Terraria.

every time I find a big slime I convert them into a lot of baby slimes and have them follow me to my base and then have a lot of cuddly pets :D
Love the idea, it gives Slime Rancher vibes. Slimes are one of the coolest mobs in Minecraft.

Mimic slimes should definitely only spawn from trapped chests and with a much lower spawn rate, it must be so annoying to try and play with this mod when you can't use chests

Better solution for the mimic slime:
Add an invisible item to chest loot tables.
When the loot table is checked, check for item, spawn slime.
When the slime is killed, it drops whatever else was in the chest.
Now, fill a chest with the item

A couple suggestions for the tnt slime, if you intend to keep working on this mod:
-for large explosions use multiple explosions spawning in a sphere around the slime, single minecraft explosions suck when they have a potency higher than that of a charged creeper because they do those ugly squares and small rays going off everywhere
-add a way to stop them from exploding because otherwise it's impossible to get rid of them (either that or make them start to explode when damaged, giving you time to kill them before they can do it)
