The AWD drive train power losses compared to the RWD are all the difference. Pursuit model doesn't have more power, its just a little bit lighter than the base R/T.
It really depends on what conditions you’re driving in, honestly it could be slower in some cases because it’s heavier due to the front diff. If the car is making a lot of power on the other hand, the AWD system can help which means that it would be faster if not stock.

Try holding the brake and the gas pedal at the same time.. hold rpms at 1500 and when it's time to go.. floor it and release the brake.
Your right except the awd has the 3.06 compared to the pursuits 2.65 (optional 3.06 was also available). Power difference is loss do to awd having to turn transfer case another driveshaft front diff two half shafts and two more wheels. If awd was turned off with a programmer would been better on dry payment.

It's not a matter of weight ther is only couple hundred pounds difference. Which does play into it you are correct. BUT the real reason is drivetrain power loss. The awd is going to make alot less wheel horse power the the rwd. So let's say they are both 380hp the rwd is going to put 340-350hp to the wheels. The awd is only going to put 325-330hp to wheels. Basically the awd car is going to put 5-10% less power down. Then throw in the fact that homie Basically just floored it on go instead of launching it. Had he launched properly even just holding 1500-2000rpm launch would of made a noticeable difference. The rwd isn't making enough power for traction to be an issue so they are both leaving about the same And the once jumping into 2nd gear that rwd really starts to pull because he's got 15-20hp more to ground. And that cold air intake is giving him maybe 2hp more won't do shit without tune also

In the race between these two chargers the rwd was faster because these cars aren't making big numbers to start with so basically traction isn't a huge issue for them. The srt jeep is pushing quite a bit more power so the added weight / added drive train loss is power is worth it for the added traction. Another big factor in this race outcome was driver error the guy in the awd was putting a little less power down / was a little heavier and didn't utilize the added traction he had. If he would of launched the car hard he might of won but he rolled into it so he wasn't gonna spin even if he was rwd. All that aside get the jeep they sound awesome they are very quick and you can make them insanely fast!

Leaving traction control on cuts power. Thats how traction control works. When the sensors detect slippage...it hold the engine(power) back. So with an awd car especially...you'll launch harder and accelerate quicker with traction control off.

Sorry but no intake adds 30-40 hp, maybe 3-4 and louder sounding, most get air from same place as stock, only difference in most of them is a bigger air filter, just adding a higher flowing filter to stock air box will give same power, price most cost is way way more than any are worth, if you can get a used one for real cheap ok but not worth $350

Yeah the AWD only turns on if it's below 39 degrees, or if the wipers are on(like they'd be if it was raining), or when the car senses severe slippage in the rear wheels. With the added weight of the awd system...you'd have to launch it really hard to get it to engage on dry roads.

Also with the AWD, dont just mash the pedal from a stop, thats how you grenade your TC, especially on gravel, the wheels need to roll in tandem and if the front or rears slip under WOT from a standstill like that, you could wind up needing a new TC and front driveshaft. Think of a speed limiter as an invisible wall that prevents an engine from going past a certain speed. Usually the speed limiter is set to whatever rating the tires have so you don't have a blowout at high speed. The stock speed limiter of a charger pursuit is the same as the civilian model which is 140mph. Law enforcement agencies can request a higher top speed limiter. But the tires also get switch out for ones with a higher speed rating.
I own an 18 awd 5.7 Charger and you right that’s easily how you split a tc in half and blow apart a front drive axle, now I just once I get it moving then I give it a lot of gas, safest bet. Definitely planning to try to get a 2014 rwd 5.7 pursuit as those are easier to be more wreckless with.

A bolt on tuned rt and a heavier rt awd and the awd doesn’t actually activate unless your in rain or snow and it detects u spinnin/slippin

Also with the AWD, dont just mash the pedal from a stop, thats how you grenade your TC, especially on gravel, the wheels need to roll in tandem and if the front or rears slip under WOT from a standstill like that, you could wind up needing a new TC and front driveshaft. I learned the hard way what happens when you treat them like rwd cars
Negative.... cars made in the USA have limiters on the rpm and the speed a cop car will ALWAYS have more power than the original engine rwd or awd. If it has limiters on it.. that’s like an rt from Germany vs an rt from the USA.. that car from Germany is going to be able to keep speed and power on the Autobahn (which has no speed limit) and there is no place in the USA where a car should be able to LEGALLY go 160-200mph.. most people who claim to have a car max rpm or mph either REMOVED THE LIMITERS or they’re LYING. Adding to your car doesn’t make it max out either.. GOGGLE IT

"Limiters" don't do anything or change how much power or torque an engine has. Both a charger with a limiter and one without have EXACTLY the same horsepower and torque.
Think of a speed limiter as an invisible wall that prevents an engine from going past a certain speed. Usually the speed limiter is set to whatever rating the tires have so you don't have a blowout at high speed. The stock speed limiter of a charger pursuit is the same as the civilian model which is 140mph. Law enforcement agencies can request a higher top speed limiter. But the tires also get switch out for ones with a higher speed rating.
I own an 18 awd 5.7 Charger and you right that’s easily how you split a tc in half and blow apart a front drive axle, now I just once I get it moving then I give it a lot of gas, safest bet. Definitely planning to try to get a 2014 rwd 5.7 pursuit as those are easier to be more wreckless with.
