I met Shannen at Koi one night when I was visiting friends in L.A.. We happened to be seated at the next table. Our tables wound up chatting, she is a doll. I was shocked about Alyssa being such an a-hole, but one thing I have learned is that people surprise you all the time. You never know how nasty people can be until you know them.
Hahahaha…Where are the folks on 90210 set to back up your claims? Most of the actors couldn’t stand her and only recently made up with her.

Even she admitted at some point that she felt competitive around Shannen which i took as a mature admission from her, and she was also involved in production, also Rose McGowan who pretty much replaced Shannen doesn't like Milano to this day... i think she's full of it.
Shannen always was the best actress on her tv shows. Alyssa however was always the media darling. So they (production) took Alyssa side due to marketing. However if they kept Shannen the show would've been more groundbreaking in terms of acting

Shannon and Holly seem to be constant in their story of the events that happened years ago. Someone asked her about the podcast and Alyssa seems to be just trying to save face at this point.
Shannen was telling a different story at each fan panel. I honestly think at this point that all 4 main actresses have certain skeltons in their closets. The only quote that I personally believe is Holly Marie Combs saying "everyone of us could have behaved better."

Shannen straightened out the past once and for all saying what truly happened behind the scenes of Charmed. Bravo to her to clear the air after all these years!
I am a fan of all the actresses on Charmed. I'm sure that no one was perfect on the set of Charmed but I've seen some of the comments posted on here that do not align with the reality of what was played out publicly at the time and since. AM never was an issue on any set prior to Charmed or after Charmed. Shannon is known to be difficult at times onset and offset. SD also specifically had a very similar issue with Jennie Garth that they almost got into a physical fight on set. It has been AM who has been consistent in her story and willing to sit down with everyone to talk it out. It has been SD who's refused and whose story doesn't evolve but actually changes several times. It was her people that came up with the spin on her termination and urged her not to speak of it as her career wouldn't survive getting terminated from 2 hit shows at the height of their success. Let's just say AM was the problem. Why would SD refuse to speak to the mediator? Holly chose not to participate either because of her long standing friendship with SD and it was SD that secured HMC on the show. I have to wonder why SD didn't participate could it be that she couldn't present her side without actually lying. I'm just wondering. Now AM chose to participate and told her side of the story. Maybe she did and maybe she didn't make that ultimatum because she wasn't the one that would recommend how the show would continue that would be the mediator. Still going on the assumption that AM was the issue. So when SD was presented with the outcome why would she not question the actual incidents that led to this outcome. I know I would because that means AM mislead or straight out lied to the mediator but she didn't question it. Then if SD was taking care of her Dad's medical bill etc. Don't you think she would have really put up a fight not to lose the income she so desperately needed. I know I would. The same way they claimed that AM threatened to sue SD could have threatened to sue too. Oh but she didn't. Years after SD 90210 termination she said she was dealing with her mother's health issues and that was the cause of her extreme tardiness and other onset issues. Now, why wouldn't someone tell at the very least their bosses what was going on so they could work with SD. Now, 25 later she says she was paying her Dad's medical bills. It didn't dawn on her at the time that her agreeing to leave bc she did agree to leave that doing so would greatly compromise her ability to pay for her dad's medical bills? For someone who's tough and has fought when it really wasn't necessary she's not fighting for what's being taken away from her wrongfully? Come-on had she participated and worked together to try to find a solution she wouldn't have been fired. As for HMC, she should pick a side bc she has flip flopped from one side to another the entire 25 years. How horrible could AM have been if HMC continued to work with her for another 5 years? That big pay increase per episode must've helped? Then agreed to work with AM again on Grey's Anatomy and did many comic cons with AM too. Then all of sudden AM is all alone doing comic con rounds and HMC is now joined by SD and the rest. It is quite obvious when you look at all the available facts objectively. Oh one more thing an executive producer of Charmed stood by AM tweet.
She needs to just be quiet. Everything she does seems narcissistic.

It speaks volumes that ALL 3 women Rose,Holly and Shannon did not like this her. It’s something also to be said that when Rose came forward about her abuse from Harvey Weinstein that Alyssa jumped on her coat tails and made it all about her and the ME TOO movement and her stating she started it, when really Rose was the one who had the BALLS to speak up, while Alyssa hide behind her husband and the the me too movement doing absolutely nothing. When Rose was asked about her in a interview she said with the most serious tone “ I don’t like her, I don’t trust her” as a woman myself when I hear another woman say this about another person this way and in such a serious tone I know it to be true. Because I’ve been there with these types of women. She’s not a good person, don’t believe her at all.

Prue was my favorite one.
Because of her doing (her ultimatum), my favorite show was ruined. Even if they got Shannen fired over the phone during her filming with Julian and replaced her with Rose but she also had the same problem with Alyssa. What’s that telling you? Alyssa is the problem.

It should be pointed out that Rose McGowan who never worked with Shannen on 'Charmed' and didn't know Holly upon joining also had a bad working relationship with Alyssa. She even stated that she believed Milano was "on the sociopath spectrum." She said that she cried every year the show got renewed because of Milano's behavior.
She did get Shannen Doherty fired by telling that person and that person in return told the bosses of the what's going on that is how you get someone fired.
One could argue Shannon not talking to the mediator and refusing to cooperate got herself fired. She had the ability to paint a different picture and chose not to. It’s weird she chose not to defend herself.
It’s also weird she never sued for any wrong doing. Contracts typically aren’t renewed or broken for false claims.

@@liljay216 that I disagree with, if you listen to Shannon's podcast she basically says that she was the first one hired and was pretty much supported to be only well known on the show, but Alyssa came in and replaced the other girl who played phoebe, so I think it was a battle of egos, both were big tv stars both worked with Aaron spelling before, I don't think Alyssa was 100% innocent but I don't think Shannon was a victim.

I agree that 25 years later and grievances are still being aired is toxic. It’s time for new beginnings and for them all to forgive one another. Hanging onto all this negativity seems silly. They all should be proud of their achievements and accomplishments they provided for Charmed. It’s still a wildly successful and popular show.
I think everyone here knows that my Aunt Charma was a consultant on the show and she said there was plenty of blame to go around, but Alyssa was more at fault. Probably 1/2 Alyssa, 1/4 the producers and 1/8 each for Shannen and Holly (my aunt didn’t work with Rose much).

This sounds like blame shifting but not actually saying it. So many strange comments.
You guys in the comments need to stop picking sides. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only working person who's had to deal with coworkers that just couldn't get along with, but strangely those coworkers got along well with other coworkers. It all comes down to huge differences in personalities just like in personal relationships. Plus, the three of them dated their costars or crew mates, so there was definitely already a rivalry bound to happen from that alone. Most jobs prohibit dating your coworkers because tension can arise, and it can be seen as unprofessional. Also, Shannen and Holly should take accountability for refusing to speak with the mediator. If that were a normal 9-5 job, the both of them would have gotten fired for refusing to work things out with an HR officer attempting to intervene.

I love all the women on Charmed but I also wish that everyone could just be adults and stop rehashing the past. Alyssa has apologized for her role in everything that happened on Charmed so people need to stop talking so badly about her! I actually really like what Alyssa said about feeling most sorry for the fans. It’s so unfortunate to see these three women who embodied female empowerment and sisterhood on screen STILL feuding to this day, 25 years later. Clearly, there’s a lot of unresolved pain from what happened behind the scenes, but I just want to see them all get along and talk it all out.

The only thing in this whole story that's a solid fact is that Shannen Doherty was famous for being difficult and had been fired multiple times for bad behavior on set. I'm not saying anybody was perfect, or that Alyssa Milano was an angel, but dredging this up 25 years later when you have the reputation that Shannon had is not exactly cool. I'll just end this by saying I wish them all well.
I believe Alyssa is trying to explain that she was not trying to get anyone removed from the show. She simply wanted everyone to feel more comfortable with the working environment. She was asked to participate in working with a mediator. Alyssa did and Shannon and Holly didn't. The powers in charge made their decision based on what they saw. Unfortunately, they decided Shannon had to go.

I feel that ultimately it was the producers fault for letting all of this go down. Everything I hear from the cast is “a producer said…” Yes of course I’m sure there were hard days on set with all of the cast members at times, but it seems like nobody communicated with each other and that’s how things spiraled out of control. I just hope that someday in the near future that all will be healed and we can get a panel/reunion with all 4 lead actresses.

What I don't understand is that Holly and Alyssa have appeared on Grays Anatomy together and they seem to get on well with each other. If Holly doesn't like Alyssa and is siding with her best friend, why would she do that and post about it on social? I mean if you look at the first season interviews and behind the scenes you can see how awkward it was for Alyssa. It was just like high school!! I like them all and I am really sad that after so many years and what they have been through they still have so much hatred. Alyssa took her share of the blame and admitted it in the interview, but the other girls just seemed not to let go. There are always two sides to a coin.

Completely clipped out of context and if you listen to the full episode Milano is barely mentioned at all. She took a nothing burger and made it into something she didn't need to. They actually talk more about how the producers pitted them against each other to prevent a Friends situation.
I might be misremembering Shannen's podcast but I think that Holly said something along the lines of "The ultimatum was issued". It was in passive voice. That kind of wording maid me believe that Shannen issued the ultimatum, Alyssa said that she has evidence of hostile workplace environment and that she will sue the network if they fire her and that they have decided to fire Shannen instead and allow her to choose her story upon leaving. She chose to say that she quit. And I don't like Alyssa any more than Shannen. I think all four of them were the part of the problem, not solution, and guest stars seem to agree.

I am a huge Charmed fan. We may never know what really happened, but Alyssa gives me bad vibes. Excellent actress though, so good that I am not sure if we really know what kind of person she actually is
Krista Vernoff wasn't even on the writing team until after Shannen was fired. How would she know? I think they all added to a toxic work environment as Holly said "there's no angels" here. But I think Alyssa did get her lawyers involved and did try to do at the time try to "make things better" but in yhat pursuit it definitely became a me or her ultimatum even if she didn't say it herself and left it up to her representation/ laywers.
I just started watching “Charmed”‘for the first time late last year and Season 1 was the best. I’m watching Season 4 and it’s just not good. Rose Mcgowen was awesome but if there is ever to be a “Charmed” reboot, bring Shannen, Holly and Rose back and kick Alyssa to the curb.

Let's not act like Alyssa can call the shots above a producer, creative director, and show runners. I do believe that there was drama between the actresses, but they did not have enough power over the entire show to give ultimatums. Shannon already had a bad reputation from working with the network from her time on 90210. She was known for being difficult to work with, her party girl habits from when she was younger, and her disdain for the direction her character was being written by the 90210 showrunners. Meanwhile, Alyssa held presitige from her work on Who's The Boss. She grew a bad rep after she started to do more mature roles like Poison Ivy and Embrace of the Vampire. Both ladies were very marketable and held their own importance to the show. At the end of the day, the final decision to let Shannon go was made by the head of the network and the showrunners. Just because Shannon and Alyssa budded heads does not mean Shannon was pushed aside for Alyssa. It would not make any sense, seeing as Holly and Alyssa are both very close to this day. Shannon was sadly the odd ball out when it came to the three of them, so the on-screen chemistry would not have worked if the last seasons of charmed were Prue, Piper, and paige. It only made logical sense for the show runners to keep the actresses that held a strong bond that would convey through the cameras. That is why Shannon was let go and later replaced.
Seems Shannen and Holly can’t keep the stories straight. They acknowledge they dodged network mediator which led to Shannen being out of series. Shannen is responsible for her exit.
Well, that explained why Alyssa comes up in credit appearance as first appearance starts from season 4 but the only veteran actor Holly Marie Combs comes up last?? Holly should be the first credit after Shannen left the show not Alyssa
Holly is a very good girl and she loves her job and she loves to work with other women and they love her so much and she’s always been a great person to work with so she always gives us a lot of love and support from all her hard work and support and she has been very kind and understanding of the situation
It was a trade-off. Holly got the end credit with the special name, which is usually reserved for stars who aren't necessarily the lead but deserve extra special mention. At the end of the credits, it said "and Holly Marie Combs as 'Piper'" which gives her a lot of recognition - it in a very real way puts her above Alyssa in importance.
The thing that gets me is that Shannen got the Holly the job and Holly was torn when she left. Shannen could have told Holly to leave the show - you could have a show with one gone, not two. BUT Shannen told Holly that she (Holly) had to do what's right for her and her family and supported her staying. I love the show; it's too bad there won't be a reunion.
If you got 3 people saying the same thing about the same person, guess who I'm going to believe. I believe Milano was jealous of Shannon, she was already will known, Milano was jealous of Shannon and wanted her gone, I stop watching after Shannon lift.
So because Alyssa went to the mediator to document her grievances makes her the bully and the one who forced Shannen out? That just doesn't make sense. And if Alyssa felt she was working in a hostile environment, she has every right to be against Shannen returning, thus the "it's her or me" ultimatum. It all makes sense to me.
Did you watch on 4th season 'the fury' Piper (Holly) was angry at Phoebe (Allyssa) Even though they were acting - I could feel a genuine anger coming from Holly aganinst Allyssa!! I f you got the dvd watch them that episode again
- Holly sad alyssa started documenting times she felt uncomfortable and started seeing a mediator to stack the deck, and gave the ultimatum her or shannen and threatened to sue them.

“For whatever reason” is interesting phrasing. It means Alyssa did have reasons, whether they were valid or not, to be speaking with that therapist. Curious.

Alyssa must have been one of the problems because why would Shannen and Rose complain about her. I’m not saying that she was the only problem but she was a part of it. As she said it’s sad that all of this was happening but I really have to admit they were professional to never let it show in the series itself. I never knew the amount of trouble that happened behind the scenes until now.
She was like the teacher's pet but producers pet. She went back and backstabbed shannen by telling all her issues. Some friend

@liljay216 They weren't really friends, though. Mostly just coworkers, although they were bridesmaids at Alyssa's first wedding. At some point, they became very difficult to work with each other.

Alysa may deny all she wants but one way or the other, she was the main reason why they fired Shannon. I am pretty sure she became very "friendly" with the directors at that point, and they had to choose one of them.
The podcast where they finally revealed the fued! Everyone wanted to know what happened back over 20 years ago! It was big deal back then on media and the fans weren’t happy with prue gone
This is still going back and forth? I'm not going to jump into who I think did what because I never followed this story closely. I just enjoyed the show back then.
