I think the reason is because there could be components that need checking and replacement within the group at the yearly service interval. Also, descaling can obviously result in scale being removed from the boiler and this has the potential to block the tiny holes (jigleur) in the group, which can prevent the machine from operating correctly. I'd say unless you are happy to take the risk and hope it all works ok, or otherwise confident in diagnosising blockage issues at the boiler or group it is not something you should do yourself... Ultimately you can try it yourself and fall back on your service technician if something goes wrong. However, as mentioned if they know you did this yourself it'll void your warranty and you'll likely have to be prepared to pay for service fees.

Packing a heavy machine like this and send it to service is not so pleasant and take a lot of time to be repaired. I am afraid of what will happen after the machine will be out of warranty

Made for Performance doesn't equal Made to last. Mine (Mara x v2) have 5 months and it already broke 2 times..first time after only 10 days. Of course, it have warranty and it was fixed..but I am very disappointed. The machine is quite expensive and all the money goes to marketing not in quality.
People should understand that this machines are not very reliable
Forgot to say that that is used at 2-3 espresso daily, and maybe 1 cappuccino. The authorized service proves me right, the number of coffees in the computer is correct.
Spend your money more wisely
@@FilipLaurentiu What happened to your machine?
@@sunnytse11 After only 10 days the three way solenoid valve broke.
Last time some random valve (didn't fully understand) remained open, it did not close properly and the machine made strange noises after it was turned off.
The service told me that the only reason it broke is that I'm unlucky.... I don't see this being a good reason to have such a bad experience with such an expensive machine.
Packing a heavy machine like this and send it to service is not so pleasant and take a lot of time to be repaired.
I am afraid of what will happen after the machine will be out of warranty
And of course I contacted the Lelit but all they told me was to send it to the service and that it will be repaired, standard PR stuff, they didn't seem too surprised
@@FilipLaurentiu I had an issue with the OPV on my new Mara X when I just received it, luckily I was able to fix it myself. The OPV screeched whenever it activated. While it was functional, it was really annoying. I ended up replacing the piston, spring and the upper screw cap. I applied some lubricant as well and it’s all good now. I certainly agree that Lelit machines offer great performance, but quality control really needs to be improved.
Impossible to follow because of the stupid music on loop
hire SOMEONE who has a clue about SOUND ENGINEERING for you videos!!
there were some chrome flakes and brownish sediment coming out of mine. Is that normal?
