They kinda went overboard on crit. I get the logic that it’s much easier to nerf 40 items than buff 200 to balance things…but crit/WS is the biggest damage dealer in the game at the expense of getting one-two shotted in apoc. It’s going to be noticeable for sure. The hunters focus crit nerf as well is just..why?
@@ashdcookie I’ve got some crazy builds from the new patch if you wanna check them out and copy/paste them. You’re right about remaking builds …. A lot of builds are different now !!
Running invoker and archon I had to remove my skill duration rings to do more damage, and have continuous skill regen. they got a sweet new mutator that synergizes with enigma mod which massively reduces skill cool down with each mod used. Enigma gets 7 mod shots so just unload the mods and all your skills reset. I took off legacy protocol and all my cooldown rings. Archon is finally amazing with the new invoker class 😁
IDEA FOR ACTUAL SUMMONER REWORK: Other than some questionable nerf most the buf are great. The only thing i dont like about the patch and new dlc is rework for summoner. And i have an idea for it. I know this is a long text but hope the developer see and give some thought on it. For attack perk 20% all damages, 5% melee, skill, mod, range crt. PRIME PERK: 25% skill, mod cast speed. Double press to override, cooldown 35s. FIRST SKILL: 2 charge max 4 minion. Damage scales: skill + explosive. OVERDRIVE: summon 2 minons per charge 50% minions moving speed. Press to detonate deal 2m AOE, give 40% charge back upon detonate. Charge time: 15s. SECOND SKILL: 2 charge max 2 minions. Hit scan laser shoot( projectile keep messing with engineer turret mode need to get ripped of it.) Damage scales: skill + mod. OVERDRIVE: constant beams do 25% increases Damage compared to normal mode( make the beams change to red color and look bigger for cool factor.) Press to detonate give you 10s of 5% vampire. Charge time: 20s. LAST SKILL: 1 charge 1max minions. Our big minion do the same as now but Damage type: skill + melee. OVERDRIVE: change to Jump slams attack deal melee Damage in 3m AOE, 50% moving speed ( change his running animation to fast shoulder run animation to clear indication of him in "babarian" mode. Press to detonate returns 50% charge( this way when he low on hp you can choose to get back half charge or risk losing him for full charge time). Charge time: 35s. This way player can choose to play explosive style with first skill. Skill+ mod style with second skill. Or run in with melee build like a madness dual fighter with last skill.
any news about the basic problems? Like trophys not working? Basically platinum the game 6068767 times but guess what? Nothing works...offline new characters? Any idea's?
Save your relic dust till most or all your archetypes are lvl10. Then go see Dwell. I believe the likelihood of getting mythic increases if you are on apocalypse difficulty.
I like this game so I will cut gunfire some slack but I will say this much, nerfing items in the name of “allowing other items to get usage” is horrible. You can’t make trash items and then nerf good items so that people will be more willing to use the lesser items. Just buff the items that aren’t as good and then let us decide if that’s enough to switch up our builds. I understand nerfing things that are broken like fargazer spawning two orbs and scaling with status duration. However as long as something is working as intended in terms of mechanics, nerfing it just feels like weak move imo. Destiny 2 had this problem
trust me as a MOBA player i hate that mentally "oh this hero wasn't pick enough ok then lets nerf everything" or lets revamp this hero/items to mix things up which must of the time are miss because things are now not doing what its supposed to do.
My problem with the crit builds nerf is this, those builds are incredibly squishy, you need to be basically able to no hit bosses to have the benefit of their massive damage. Compared to builds where you stack damage reduction that deal not as much damage but can tank almost everything. One build anyone can use while the other does take an amount of skill. Kinda weird they decided to nerf the skill requiring one, those players who could comfortably use them can honestly win with anything so all that does is nerf enjoyment and not difficulty. I would prefer the devs buff basically everything to similar levels and then if everything is way to easy make the game itself harder with more elites, more enemies and more variations. Obviously that’s a much harder thing to do so it’s definitely easier to nerf the over performing items
So take the over performing thing, and then raise everything below it up to its level. That'd be a bad move, then Apoc becomes a total joke without massive increases to difficulty. Meanwhile if you nerf the outliers and slightly buff the weaker stuff you have a much more balanced experience. It's a PvE game sure, but everything requires some form of balance.
@@celiafrostborn surely the builds that are basically unkillable that lets any half decent player breeze through apocalypse are more over performing than the builds that if you make one mistake you die instantly. But the real problem is that the game is fundamentally too easy, bosses are predictable, enemy variety is shallow and elites hardly spawn so all you fight is fodder. They should be making the game harder but I understand that’s more difficult than changing a percentage on an item. And my real biggest issue with the crit build nerfs is that it hurts every single gun in the game basically, a good crit build was op with the best weapons yes I agree, but it also made all the average weapons more viable and fun to use. And now with the update all it is status and skill/mod spam. Which is incredibly boring.
@@100StepProgram I agree that the tank builds that basically only die if you fail at the most basic thing should be nerfed as well, but that doesn't mean we let extreme hyper offense melt a boss down in a minute on the hardest difficulty either. Apoc bosses should be a slog to suit the "Good luck" remark when you pick the difficulty. Root doctors should be taken down a few pegs, tank builds don't get a free pass in my book either. As for the crit nerfs, those do effect every weapon to some level but those guns should still be able to compete on nightmare easily if you build crit right. And there will be a bit more struggle on Apoc as it should have been way sooner. Keep in mind these developers have to be able to beat the bosses without taking any damage before they can be put in. Many even do it naked with the basic repeater as that's the most basic setting it defaults to. If they can do that these nerfs don't affect any competent player, because any setup is better than the most basic gear.
I am a little sad after just getting through most of the game, all of the things I liked are getting put into the ground. Hopefully find something new with the DLC.
Only thing I don’t get is the repeating nature of the words “low investment” Mutators need to be upgraded to L10 to be truly unlocked which takes time and investment. Finding rings/amulets takes time and investment. Especially Ahanae (only obtainable in HC), Devoured Loop (have to beat apoc) and more. So while I get the logic on the surface…wasn’t like we were just given all this from the gate. Abrasive Whetstone being an exception as an early game option buy from Cass. There is apparently a lot more coming in terms of mechanic changes including a paragon-like system that will push our builds to OP status again so this patch was to more or less set baselines to reasonable levels. I can dig that…but going to be hitting like a wet mop in the meantime w/ crit focused builds.
I know a lot of people are upset about Probability Cord and Zania's Malice, but in all honesty I was tired of seeing them in every build, so I don't much care. I beat apocalypse without them and I'll do it again.
I understand nerfing shit like spectral blade and resonance being able to one shot everything bosses included but nerfing everything that’s even moderately okay is dumb it’s like they want us to struggle and not feel powerful at all. Corrupted savior made me feel like okay they came out with a good gun finally but now it’s nerfed the game was damn near perfect before the patch before this one but now idk how anyone can keep up with all this that’s been used to how the game has been. I understand bringing other things up to par with the good guns and making mods/mutators different for build variations but nwrfing everything even slightly good to shit in a PVE game is Ridiculous to me
eh I think you're reading too much into it. Remember, the way the game works ALMOST all damage bonuses are additive. They did it that way so they can balance the game easier. So for example whispering marble went from 15% bonus at max stacks to 10% at max stacks. I'll bet my left nut that won't even increase the time it takes to kill an enemy, If you were one shotting enemies before with that mod on you'll keep doing so. The big nerfs are stuff like Abrasive Whetstone going from 30% to 15% and all the nerfs to crit chance. I'd rather give devs benefit of doubt and actually try it first to see if it feels awful before I judge Also Corrupted Savior nerf is barely a nerf my guy. Look at it again, it barely counts as a nerf. They ain't gonna just make stuff garbage (and if they do, they'll adjust again to make it stronger!). Enigma got hit by the nerf hammer multiple times yet it's still incredibly strong.
@@juliansouto947 the truth does hurt and I can see it from how salty you are. What part of my has wrong math? You tryna say that a nerf of a couple percent from an additive bonus is gonna be a huge nerf? They're clearly balancing by bringing everything to be roughly equal in viability, so that people don't feel like they HAVE to use that gun or they're just gimping themselves. This is why I'm thankful every day morons like you aren't in charge of game balance. Anyway I ain't gonna waste anymore time replying to your comments, I'd put you at 13 y/os maybe 16 max so you probably have endless time to troll around, I don't. Adios!

@IHaveInsipidus yessir bro! I enjoy this game and love everything gunfire has done with it so far so I'm excited to see what they have in store for us! Love the content I've been seeing keep it up!
So they need what was good and even though they say they want build diversity they just keep nerfing anything good and what’s with the grey health crap if we don’t wanna use it stop literally trying to force us to
I think we should wait until the patch actually releases before saying that “anything good” is nerfed to the degree you suggest! And they can’t force you to use anything. They’re just making the options more plentiful and cohesive if you do choose to go down that road. Again, there’s over like 500 buffs, and roughly 50 nerfs. It’s a lot to digest, but I wouldn’t feed into the doomsaying that some people are currently feeding into.
@@juliansouto947 misinformation? That information comes directly from Ben Cureton, principal designer of Remnant 2. Would be strange if the man who curated the patch was spreading misinformation on his own game, right?

Ah yes let's heavily nerf almost every single item anybody uses and try to replace it with ammo return and Grey health, this patch Is pathetically bad it'd not gonna make people seek other options because the other options were even worse than these nerfed items.
I know there’s plenty of changes people aren’t happy with because they frequent the equipment. But 90% or so of these changes (including guns and archetypes) are buffs. And there’s hundreds….
You are absolutely looking at this update the wrong way, I promise they didn't do anything but more than double the amount of builds that will be viable! This is the best update in Remnant history. Just wait when you play it and begin to mess around with different builds you are going to LOVE this update because they have made playing with new builds you've made yourself much easier and more fun! This isn't a bad thing it's one of the greatest things to happen to the game thus far! I get not liking nerfs and I would personally rather see less nerfs to existing content and more items added that allow those who want a challenge to have a challenge and those who want to never struggle and instantly kill everything the option to do so. If the game was solo only that would probably be the direction the devs would choose to go but this is a multiplayer game that is meant to be challenging that's what makes the game fun so there are many times they really have no choice but to bring something's down in power and boost other things so people can play how they like! The people who are upset are completely looking at this update the wrong way! I personally still would love to see many new items added that allow those of us who want the game even more challenging the option to do so! I personally want a gun called Pyro's insanity that is a squirt gun with infinite ammo. I would want this gun to do the bare minimum amount of damage possible but be added along side rings and amulets that make having a player who is using this gun desirable such as a ring that person could use that doubles the damage other players do so long as that player using it has the ring or amulet equipped and the are actively using the squirt gun. Idk if we will ever see a gun like this added but I have brought it up several places because ever since I thought of a gun like this I want it so bad. I have so many ideas for different rings/amulets that could be added to make a gun like this desirable to use! Personally I am insane and would use this gun in solo attempting to take down mobs and bosses using only the gun because I think it would be hilarious to take down a boss using nothing but a squirt gun even if it took months to finally do and hours to accomplish the fight. 😂
What irks me is that this is a PVE game. We fight against bots. Why do all these changes if we are fighting bots? These are the kind of changes I'd expect out of a PVP game like Overwatch or Street Fighter. It is strange to see it in a game like this.
I think you should try out some of the new stuff! And the new buffs (personally, my favorite so far is ring of spears since it triggers melee mutators aka literal infinite shield). There is no shortage of absolute batshit builds my friend 😁
All these nerfs are bs and unnecessary and make the game even more unfair. Why would anyone think any of that was a good idea unless youre disconnected from how the game plays?
You can tell how bad the devs are on this game by their actions. I was roasted on this very channel when I told everyone they were going to nerf every top build to the ground for the new dlc, because they want to FORCE higher play times. Here we are again seeing everything changed right when they need to up playtime and player count. Don't fall for it, just like d4, if that is how these dev teams wants to act, destory them by not playing or buying this dlc. Give them a big F you. It's the only way this cycle of bs changes.
Terrible take. This is how you keep a game constantly changing plus since the new dlc is coming all the nerfs and changes are probably cause of the new items they are adding and don’t forget about the third dlc which will be in nerud. This a necessity to change these things and plus there are so many things in this game that you can easily counter the nerfs
@PLAUGEBOY you clearly have a reading comprehension troubles. They are doing this purely to increase play time. They know half to a third of all causal gamers have their builds set up and ready. They (bad dev teams) nerf every major build to ensure those people now have to spend multiple hours rebuilding it. Adds thousands of hours of playtime, but it's an artificial increase for ensure bonuses and milestones are hit.

My favourite mod regen build with cube gun is literally dead in the water
Big RIP on that one
Yeah but cant you do a 50% health cleric now with tormented?
You can do a lot of batshit 50% hp builds with relics now. The best one, of course, is the 100% invulnerability uptime combo.
I just got Tekken AND Lies of P, what am i suppose to do?!! I have to remake nearly every build😅😭
@@ashdcookie trying to balance time in video games is hard as hell right now😂😂😂
@@ashdcookie I’ve got some crazy builds from the new patch if you wanna check them out and copy/paste them. You’re right about remaking builds …. A lot of builds are different now !!
I am upset about bitter momento. Ill have to get my classes in order for the dlc, ty for the great content!😁
both skill duration items nerfed. very sad but maybe something new is coming for this category.
definitely; especially with invoker revolving around skill synergies and having an innate 10% skill cooldown as prime (iirc)
IDEA FOR ACTUAL SUMMONER REWORK:
Other than some questionable nerf most the buf are great.
Any idea's?
The nerfs aren't that bad plus we have to take into consideration the items they are going to add I think these changes are good.
thank you for being level-headed, these comments have been visceral lol
HOW do I get mythic relic fragments?
Save your relic dust till most or all your archetypes are lvl10. Then go see Dwell. I believe the likelihood of getting mythic increases if you are on apocalypse difficulty.
@@panemetcircenses510 Thank you!
I'm not complaining about them pushing grey health. Salvaged Heart enjoyers stay winning.
One of these days they’re gonna get me to try out a gray health build. This might finally be the patch
@juliansouto947 that's fine. Go ahead. Just do it in your own comment and quit blowing up mine.
I am a little sad after just getting through most of the game, all of the things I liked are getting put into the ground. Hopefully find something new with the DLC.
Here’s to hoping the dlc is great!😁
*Laughs in Indignent fetish*
I’m definitely rocking that shit
Some of the "buffs" have already been nerfed aswell.
Like what?
Oh nah these patch notes are questionable damn shame …
I know a lot of people are upset about Probability Cord and Zania's Malice, but in all honesty I was tired of seeing them in every build, so I don't much care. I beat apocalypse without them and I'll do it again.
This is pretty much how I felt about it too. The sky is falling……..
Im glad those 2 rings got nerfed so I was very happy and so was the devs.
I understand bringing other things up to par with the good guns and making mods/mutators different for build variations but nwrfing everything even slightly good to shit in a PVE game is Ridiculous to me
just go play the game, your savior is fine. these were great changes
eh I think you're reading too much into it. I'd rather give devs benefit of doubt and actually try it first to see if it feels awful before I judge
Also Corrupted Savior nerf is barely a nerf my guy. Look at it again, it barely counts as a nerf. They ain't gonna just make stuff garbage (and if they do, they'll adjust again to make it stronger!). Enigma got hit by the nerf hammer multiple times yet it's still incredibly strong.
@@juliansouto947Why you out here in the comment section hater maxxing?
Adios!
The crit crutches get nerfed and uncreative players are just losing their minds
😂😅
ong. hopefully this patch will allow players to actually learn to buildcraft rather than just watch the latest chaos video. No hate towards the dude tho lol.
@@prodkekyll my goal is to find the wackiest nonsense builds. They’ve certainly made that MUCH more possible now😍
@IHaveInsipidus yessir bro!
@@juliansouto947 okay, so you’re claiming the people who made remnant 2, and the people who have been trying to maintain balance in remnant 2, did not read their patch notes.

yeah i dont need to return to the game lol thanks for this, gonna try refund my expac pass i think.
not interested at all in the way they treat this game or the people who play it,
im not at all crying abiut nerfs but the stretch of time console players have to wait for the most basic scraps of a quality of life improvement is disgraceful.
this game has been out for the better part of a year at this point and only just getting FoV sliders after waiting how long we did for the threadbare minimum "client side dodging" (that still feels awful) is just honk mimimi
I totally agree, I don't see how doing less damage is better.
You can't level the game high and not low
I just finished the campaign in Apocalypse, it took me months and now with the new update, nothing I got will be of use to me 😭😭😭😭
So when is this crap fest supposed to be downloading?
I mean, there's a shit ton of builds that are performing insanely right now lol. wouldn't get held up too much on number changes
“I was roasted on this very channel”😂😂😂 and you’re gonna continue to get roasted, melting down over a balance patch. These devs kick ass.
