I keep on the right path by studying the scriptures with the wonderful teachers on UTube and relaying some of that to others I know. My sister-in-law, the gal who married my twin brother so many years ago has recently gotten touch with me and we have been communicating with letters. I love to write to her and include the gospel lessons I have been learning. Sharing with her (and with my children) helps me remember and set firmly in my heart the principles I've learned. I am 83 and am loving the gospel even more because of you wonderful teachers. Thank you! Been in the church since 1970 and never gone inactive because what else is there? I love the Lord with all my heart.
I just read through all of the comments that have been submitted up to this point. It is remarkable to see the Lord's goodness and His hand revealed in so many ways through all of your experiences in life. He has provided so many sources and resources to access His grace and power and I am inspired to see how many of you are reaching out to Him in times of need instead of turning to horizontal sources for solutions. Thanks for inspiring everyone with your thoughts here. I love the multiple manifestations of faith! The Lord is accelerating His work.
Always enjoy your teaching. My wife and her nephew ran into you a year ago At BYU, she didn’t dare say hi until she sent me a picture and I told her it was you. She then met you at the door and you were kind enough to take a picture with her and her nephew. Thanks for your kindness.
While going through the hardest times in my life, I do at least one thing that will feed my spirit. I find music that speaks hope, comfort, peace, to me. I read my scriptures, Liahona, and the Conference addresses. I try to do an act of service. I hope that others will be helped in their trials as well.
I am not perfect. But I want to share how I am overcoming the world. Last year I took the opportunity to work on getting off depression medication. I was able to do this because the past few years I had taken the time to have integrity and be vulnerable with Jesus Christ. Jesus helped me build a strong foundation in Him through real prayer, scripture study, studying topics through the Gospel Learning app, temple attendance, fasting, repenting and partaking of the Sacrament. Gradually getting off those meds was the friction I needed to gain momentum in overcoming the world. Anything that causes friction will be hard. But when your anchored with the Lord, and He sees you are intentionally trying, He will help your heart become new! He can and will change your nature! Giving you the ability to have no disposition to do evil. This is liberating! Now I cannot get enough of Him! I study His words! I try to do as He would! This helps me endure with gladness the hard parts of life.
I have had life threatening health challenges, have gone through years of abuse therapy and resulting mental illness, survived two challenging marriages (I am still in my second marriage of 40 plus years), and have endured many more challenges these 70 years. I am not special, but I am determined to succeed in my time upon the earth. I use your channel every Sunday and sick days when I can't read my scriptures, I use your app for additional learning, and do all that the prophet has instructed us to do to stay strong despite extreme adversities. We can't listen to any of the voices saying that He doesn't care, the Church isn't true, we aren't good enough, or any other lies. Our grasp must be constant and strong despite anything we must endure. It will be worth it. 😌
I have felt HIM with me since I was very small . I was going through a lot of illness, and problems from a birth defect. I remember feeling my Savior there with me so strongly.
As a fan of 2x2 matrices I appreciate the simplicity you're opening. As a late-in-life student of the gospel, I appreciate the depth of what Kevin has created. The theme that conversion is not an event but a lifetime transformation that you wove through this session helps keep me focused.
To stay in the covenant path when my circumstances turn dark is to act with faith upon the spiritual experiences that I had, knowing that God was there and that He will be with me now and forever. Then, I do not let that the circumstances act upon me, but I act over the circumstance with faith.
2 very impactful choices that helped me overcome depression is throwing away worldly music and focusing on worship music. Music that praises Jesus Christ is so uplifting! K-LOVE is awesome! The second choice was to take President Nelson’s advice and practice social media fasts. After a week you will learn how much life social media sucks from you. It truly is a thief.
I have grown so much in my testimony of our Father and Christ's love for us. I have had very hard things happen in my life and that of my family, but my testimony remains strong as I walk in faith and know all these things humble me and prepare me to face our Savior one day. That has not always been my story, but I have learned and grown stronger. I love the help of Scripture Central and Come Follow Me. Love is the answer and Father and the Savior are the answer. Thank you for these profound lessons. Know that you are loved Brother Tyler and Kevin.
When things get crazy, I stop what I'm doing and PRAY! Call on God for help since only He knows what is best in every situation. If nothing else, comfort knowing I'm opening up that door to Jesus as we've been taught to do!
Hello. I have never commented here before, but want you to know that your channel, coupled with much Temple attendance, and constant scripture study and church attendance and daily general conference registering, and many daily prayers,.. But mostky the grace of God, is what has allowed me to hear the Spirit and feel the presents of my family on the other side of the Veil, and reach out to my ward family for support and comfort, during this particularly difficult past 12 months. I have 4 sons with pretty sever mental illnesses and 3 with addictions. One passed away 10 months ago ( while he and I where out camping) and another ( 3 days ago) overdosed and by the time I arrived, was not breathing. I did CPR and he survived, but I don't know for how long. I want you all to know that I am at peace, because I trust in God's plan and know that this is but a moment in time. Jesus is their redeemer too. ❤
I always thank the Lord that the trials went through came when I was already a member of this church.I do not know how could I handled it if I wasn't learning from the church.I have experienced the power of God in my life and how the Lord resolves problems for us.Thank you for teaching us in every way possible so that it gets written in our hearts.
TO STAY FAITHFUL, I cling to my temple Covenants and the Atonement of Christ to combat serious challenges in my life. I also cling to all the promises in the scriptures as I study them constantly and in staying close to the Comforter thru prayer. Attending the Temple a couple times a week is a must.🙏🎵🕊❣a Widow in Fort Collins, Colorado
To stay on the path of the Alliances, it seems that it is easy when everything is going well But when trials come and we are in a difficult situation ,I remember President Holland's speech "No one was with Him" And then I look at Jesus Christ differently, as the one who must have known the anguish of spiritual death that he did not know because it was perfect and then I read and reread this speech so that my Covenants remain in my heart so as not to make my Savior suffer. Thank you for your teachings and your support. By being united we go further on the path of Alliances ❤
When things have been hard for me as life moves forward I have chosen to feed my faith instead of feeding doubt. I have 3 teenage boys, all around driving ages or about to be, and I often remind them that no matter what, keep the Savior in your frontview or purview and not behind you in your blindside. Its easier or safer to follow Him in faith looking forward. The blindside makes you take your focus off the path to have to turn away from the path to see if you can find him and many times danger ensues as sin and "accidents" happen. Know in whom you trust and it is in and only through the Savior moving forward in life.
When I am going through trials (I work on thinking they are adventures)what helps me the most are the pictures of Jesus I have placed on the walls in my studio apartment from ceiling down to 3-4 feet. I look at them and remember his life and sacrifices and I am filled with great hope and peace envelopes me.
What helps me stay on the covenant path is many things but one of the things is remembering the many miracles that has happened throughout my life. Remembering has help me so many times when life gets hard & I think that he doesn't hear me. Remembering is powerful!
Hi brothers I would like to thank you for teaching us the way you do. I hope you know how much we appreciate you. I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for all he has done for me, and for made me a believer.
What I do to stay true and faithful in dark times is wait. I choose to believe that what the Lord has promised will come to pass. I choose to cling to my faith and I wait. I pray--and feel nothing. I read my scriptures--and am uninspired. And I know that if I wait, those feelings will pass. This darkness will pass and the light will come again. I trust the Lord when He says that He gives us weaknesses to show forth His power. So I trust His process. I rely on His timing and I wait through my own impatience.
Thank you for pointing out enriching applications. As a response to Kevin's invitation, may I say that, as the mist of darkness seems to last forever and completely obscures the aim, my reaction is to not deny what I received from the Holy Ghost and keep holding on to the iron rod in faithfulness to the commitments I made in the waters of baptism, my first covenant with God. May we all see the fruit of our efforts as soon as possible!
Thank you both for all your work! I can feel your love for our Saviour, and your love for helping me under more! I feel love when I can help someone! It doesn’t matter what kind of help it is. I feel love when I can help an animal! It just fills my heart! ❤🇨🇦
When I recognized my own weaknesses and turned to God and Jesus Christ for help in overcoming them and got that help the very difficult things in my life became easier. Trusting, following counsel of the prophet, spending time in the temple and fighting negative thinking have kept me going but it is an ongoing process.
Staying faithful during times of struggle is hard but with the partnership with Savior Jesus Christ relying on his mercy and trusting him and let him prevail in our lives He can make a big difference in our lives . Will just allow the Savior to walked with us in our darkest life all things will work out
The biggest way I have found to stay close to the Lord and the Holy Ghost is to fast from social media both during trials and in good times. I do several fasts per year namely I’ll fast the two weeks before each general conference and the week after. I fast from everyone else so I can feast on the words of the prophet and other leaders. I continue fasting the week after general conference bc unfortunately a lot of people don’t like what the Lord has to say in general conference and will very publicly speak out against counsel that was given. I like to fast the month of December to focus on our Savior more and to be more involved with the people he’s given me. I also like to fast during the summer months so that I can focus on my children and so that I don’t get distracted from the things and people that matter most. One other time of year I fast is during Lent season to show support and be a good friend to my friends of other faiths that participate in Lent. I have found clarity of mind, peace, and real joy when I lay aside social media for a time so that I can feel closer to our Savior.
Thank you for your lesson brothers. I’ve been using the gospel learning app since last year and I absolutely love it. Thank you Kevin for all your hard work you put into it your app. You asked for us to share what helps us pull through our trials or depression. For me it’s been going to the temple weekly and doing my family history research. Serving in those areas help me feel some peace and sometimes the Holy Ghost. It’s hard to feel the spirit when you’re depressed. depression can make you feel distant from Heavenly Father or lonely and that you’re not worthy. I know that’s the adversary. I just keep pushing through with the gospel and therapy. I’m doing much better now. It’s like it just clicked one day and I could feel the spirit again. 🙌🏼
Thank you for this wonderful application. I have been an instructor for years at the institute. This will enrich me spiritually. I will share it with my students. I have already done it with my Family and my friends. Thank you for your lessons Tyler which sometimes brought tears to my eyes with your tender spirit. Thanks is not too big. I am French and enriched today. That God bless you for everything you bring to us. Sincerely. Gigidussere
A few weeks back, I'd been struggling to keep on track on consistent supplication of God's word so that I could maintain my spiritual momentum. But weakness drives me away from it. Every night, I regret not being productive enough. Every time I receive inspiration, comfort and strength from the Holy Ghost. I know and I can feel that the Lord is merciful enough to love me despite my weakness. Temple covenants endowed me with truth and power to discern and plan to organise my daily activities. With access to my patriarchal blessing, words of the prophets and all the holy sources, I know I can always reconcile with my Heavenly Father and feel more of His love. I also believe that ministering blesses both ends. It's not only what you can do to serve your assignment but reading the word of God altogether, would boost the bond and fulfill the Lord's purpose.
How do you know you weren’t productive enough? Maybe you did what you could that day. It isn’t required for us to run faster than we have strength. And our worth is not in our productivity - it is because we are daughters and sons of God.
I appreciate you having Kevin explain the gospel learning tool. I had downloaded it when it first came out a few years ago, but I didn't get much out of it, so I wasn't using it. I think the improvements will really help me in my study and teaching of my gospel doctrine class.
Thank you so much for you "lessons". I get so much out of them and they help me understand them so much better. I believe that they help me progress much faster than I would otherwise on the covenant path. Thanks again! Keep up the good work.
It was nice to ask for comments, because we have a weekly division of your weekly lessons every morning. Except Tuesday morning when Bill goes to the Temple. Monday morning I go to a Women’s Institute class that I love!
Thank you both so much for this lesson. I've been using this app for a while now, but I'm very glad that you put a link up for an indepth tutorial. I will be looking into that. I have greatly enjoyed Scripture Central, and I also listen to Come Follow Him every week. So, I have two great scriptural resources to greatly enriched my studies!
When I am having a bad day and don't feel like going to church, temple or doing what I should be doing, I think "that is EXACTLY what Satan wants me to do." I Will not let Satan win so, that gives me the strength and motivation to follow Christ, not Satan, so I "Just Do It."
I am very grateful for my Savior He has been my strength my beacon for past 5 months what I've been through i wouldn't wish it on anyone I am grateful for my sister I could confide in and my Savoir Jesus Christ.., listening to conference talks and President Nelson His loving counsel to think Celestial and let God Prevail in your life; when going through sore trials helped to strengthened my Testimony, knowing my Savior walks with me everyday . I know without a Shadow of a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true Church upon the earth today. I know the stick of Joseph Book of Mormon its another Testament of Jesus Christ and the stick of Juda Holy Bible is one in Thine hands how blessed we are His Covenant people. I wish to thank you Brother Griffin for Scripture Study insights ( Book of Mormon) tremendous blessing thank you . I love Alma 7: 24 And see that ye have faith, hope, and charity, and then shall ye always abound in good works is my humble testimony in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
What I do - stay connected to the Savior Jesus Christ by reading scripture & repenting daily , attend temple trying to be kind and loving to others , pray for strength to be faithful rely on him . I want to be like Him it’s only being partner with Him that i can faith , hope and charity I know He lives
I’m not perfect by any means, but as I was talking with the Missionaries last Sunday and discussing the tender mercies that it had occurred that day it all came down to some simple truths. Be obedient. Say your prayers and read the Scriptures. It wasn’t rocket science I love, your videos and your different insights as I read the scriptures next to it it helps me grow and I appreciate that and it helped me become a better disciple of Jesus Christ, thank you
Thank you so much for going into debt and helping us to understand these scriptures more and learning about our loving savior❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ keep up the action performance I enjoy listening to all the videos as they give me closer to each scripture I also listen to on UA-cam whispers of angels and God messages.
Thank you for the amazing lesson. As always, this is one of my happy places, and I love being a student in these classes. How have I managed to stay close to the Lord in the hard times? Well, his voice and his words are in my head and thoughts. For me, it takes a lot of time studying the scriptures, hearing the words of the prophets, listening to sacred hymns, and talking to God. Journaling and writing is another way for me, etc. I know this may be similar/dissimilar to others. The way I see it, if I dont make time for God's word every day, life is going to be particularly challenging. With spiritual messages in my system, I know I am going to be ok. I know God is in charge despite the situation, and I don't give into negative thoughts and / or allow myself to sink into depression or give up even. That's not an option for me, not when the Lord has nurtured me every day with his spirit. This is how I combat personal/societal and generational opinions. These thoughts are no match for the voice of the Lord. This is how I have managed to stay close to the Savior in good and bad times. Thank you CFM for being a part of that journey for me ❤.
I try to be a good person of the believes by trying to humble a accept my circumstances and be and when physically hurting I often cry and fall at that… I try to think of heaven as my friend and reflect on the blessings it’s previously given me actually does throw me. I don’t like sounding so good when truthfully I’m highly imperfect and have made many faults. 😱
Hi….you asked about personal projects…:) what I am doing presently is working with friends from other Churches…..Jehovah Witness……and Mennonite faith…and we are working on a document showing how the remarkable….fascinating…and mind-boggling wonders of creation point to a Creator……:) very fun and amazing project :) paul T 😊
King Benjamin and Alma the younger expand the teaching of apostle Paul the fruit of spirit is love, Joy, gentleness, long-suffering, peace and faith. I saw those attributes through king Benjamin and I see them through Alma the younger!! The Book of Mormon is true!
What do I do: I spend a lot of time on family search. My account really exploded during Covid. And then when temples began opening I was compelled to go “as often as occasion permits”! (I was ahead already!) my temple attendance and the effort it takes on family search makes it difficult to do my Come Follow Me manual even close to what I did before. I keep trying to figure out if there’s a better balance? But if you do the work it comes! (By the way I have seen both of your children there!) I compensate by listening to podcasts while online. Not sure if it counts. But It’s hard to set aside.
Alma asked them a question that can be answered yes or no. "Have you experienced this mighty change?" Teaching that it is not an event is false doctrine; there is no scripture to support this. In fact, there are many great "mighty change" experiences shown to us in the Book of Mormon. The reason Alma asked the question this way is that if you have experienced the baptism of fire and the holy ghost (2 Nephi 31:17), then you can answer yes. This is one of the main steps to get you on the straight and narrow path in the doctrine of Christ. Teaching this as a long process that takes our whole life is the reason many members are bored and leaving the church. It makes me sad to see these un-scriptural teachings all over the church, especially on-line.
😊 Hope this is ok. I've struggled of and on with pornography and I know many others do so... I wanted to share a resource that's helped me A LOT lately, a podcast (mormonmarriages podcast) that talks about this topic and I HIGHLY recommend giving it a listen :) (even if you're single xD)

Great as usual as I seek more guidance in preparation to teach the YSA..

Saludos desde Montevideo Uruguay!!!!
I listen to our Priesthood Choirs. Their voices always releases me from depression. I have a playlist of 96 songs.
Thank you for your lesson today. I believe I'm learning and understanding more each time.
It wasn’t rocket science I love, your videos and your different insights as I read the scriptures next to it it helps me grow and I appreciate that and it helped me become a better disciple of Jesus Christ, thank you
Thank you
What a great lesson and I am excited to use the app!
Wow Kevin I just went to the Explore section, the work you have accomplished is phenomenal. THANK YOU 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for going into debt and helping us to understand these scriptures more and learning about our loving savior❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ keep up the action performance I enjoy listening to all the videos as they give me closer to each scripture I also listen to on UA-cam whispers of angels and God messages.
I started reading the Apocrypha recently, and I'd Love a Scripture insights on that. Surely that would be something Tyler would be amazing at also
Thank you for the amazing lesson.
HEAVENLY FATHER BLESS
Hi….you asked about personal projects…:) what I am doing presently is working with friends from other Churches…..Jehovah Witness……and Mennonite faith…and we are working on a document showing how the remarkable….fascinating…and mind-boggling wonders of creation point to a Creator……:) very fun and amazing project :) paul T 😊
Have Kevin back again!!!!
I'm Lucas, from curitiba where elder griffin served, and I would love to be part of the project that extends a version of the app for Brazilians.
Oi, Lucas! It's good to hear from someone in Curitiba😀
Please make the gospel learning app so I can minimize and still listen, or turn my phone screen off and still listen
King Benjamin and Alma the younger expand the teaching of apostle Paul the fruit of spirit is love, Joy, gentleness, long-suffering, peace and faith.
I saw those attributes through king Benjamin and I see them through Alma the younger!! The Book of Mormon is true!
I can’t find the Gospel Learning App!
❤❤❤❤
What do I do: I spend a lot of time on family search. My account really exploded during Covid. And then when temples began opening I was compelled to go “as often as occasion permits”! (I was ahead already!) my temple attendance and the effort it takes on family search makes it difficult to do my Come Follow Me manual even close to what I did before. I keep trying to figure out if there’s a better balance? But if you do the work it comes! (By the way I have seen both of your children there!) I compensate by listening to podcasts while online. Not sure if it counts. But It’s hard to set aside.
Is this gospel learning app is in play store?
Yes it is! There’s a QR code in the video you can scan to download it. :)
So that these teachings can be available worldwide, could there be access to them in as many languages as possible?
Is the Gospel Learning App available for people who do not carry cell phones? Made for PC too?
Hello there, I have a question, is this application in Spanish 🌞
What exactly does the BofM say Eternal life is?
Hi Kevin! But I have been wondering where Taylor went, can someone tell me?
This video is from the first year they taught. Taylor is doing fine. 😊😊😊
@chelseabench8828
Taylor Halvorson and Mike Harris have their Scripture Insights channel.
Go to temple
😊 Hope this is ok.
I've struggled of and on with pornography and I know many others do so...
I wanted to share a resource that's helped me A LOT lately, a podcast (mormonmarriages podcast) that talks about this topic and I HIGHLY recommend giving it a listen :)
(even if you're single xD)
