Them: I have a task for you! Get your pulse in 5 seconds.
Me with POTS: Nah, I'm good....
For context, my heartrate and blood pressure are both very unstable/uneven and I typically wear a smartwatch to monitor it.
The irony is despite choosing to not participate in the exercise itself, it's a really great reflection of how some of us could have "spiritual POTS", and the importance all the more on anchoring ourselves in Christ

So I'm reading the Book of Mormon and I remember what Joseph Smith Jr wrote about his feelings on it, writing, "...the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book", as if he's studied ever sacred book ya know?!
Well I want to be able to identify all the precepts in the Book of Mormon so that not only can I live and abide by them but I can share with others what they are exactly.
And I read up to the account of the Anti-Nephi-Lehis in Alma 24 where they had a mighty change of heart. Even a spiritually-radical change of heart and thereafter they refused to ever take up weapons again to distance themselves as far as spiritually possible from the sin of killing even if it meant self defense. Understanding that killing in any form was just that serious. Even more serious than they had understood about "Thou shalt not kill" than they had ever before understood.
But then I couldn't help but think of all the heroic rhetoric I grew up seeing in pictures and in Sunday school classes and seminary about Moroni and what it meant exercise the actions behind his Title of Liberty banner which teaches a complete inverse of the precept that is taught to us from the Anti-Nephi-Lehis.
Can someone please help me to reconcile between the precepts taught here? 🙏
Thank you. God bless. And all glory to God ✝️ 🕊 ☯️

    "At Jerusalem".Alma 7:10..
Luke 2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judæa, unto the city of David. which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David.
Notice that the city of David is also called Bethlehem here in Luke chapter 2.
Now look at 2 Kings 14:20 And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.
Notice where the City of David is? "At Jerusalem".
So.... where is the city of David? "At Jerusalem". What is the city of David also called? Bethlehem. So Alma is correct, the city of David is "at Jerusalem" not "in". And the City of David is also called Bethlehem. Bethlehem is "at" Jerusalem.
Just use the scriptures to explain Alma 7:10, it's perfectly legit to do so after all.

We all know that Jesus , Mary and others are not the real names . They have Hebrew names. Jesus real name us Yeshua and Mary was Miriam. I like to say their names in Hebrew.

How can you teach the mighty change of heart, and not mention the baptism of fire and the holy ghost? (one of the basic principles of the doctrine of Christ - 2 Nephi 31:17); Alma wants to know if they have had this great event in their lives. We have already received great teaching on this from King Benjamin (Mosiah 4 and 5). We don't redeem ourselves by trying really hard to be good; only through Christ can we receive this mighty change, and it does not have to take our whole life - The temple does not teach this, and the scriptures do not teach this. Alma fasting and praying many days to know these things more directly is called retaining a remission of your sins (Mosiah 4:26). There are no scriptures which teach that you won't have an experience like Alma when he was born again. On the contrary, the scriptures continuously encourage us to seek for the mysteries of God, and they encourage us by telling us that "many" people obtained these mysteries (Alma 12:9, for example); the baptism of fire and the holy ghost is a mystery.

Just using logic, it's highly likely that He is married. There are things that one experiences in marriage that is not experienced by single people.
