I think it's slowly growing amongst our young players. Like 6 years old+ I am glad the are not stingy with the supply of booster boxes. Kids can actually get their hand on it.
oooh some investors are crying because their enchanted cards cant be sold for 200 dollars and plus... :D finally they investors and scalpers are gone and finally the gamers stayed
Pixelborn shutting down really hurt. I suspect we'll see another decline when Pokémon TCG Pocket comes out soon. Hopefully it'll kick Ravs into gear announcing at least some sort of online client, even if it doesn't release right away. Lorcana is one of the best games to play currently, so it would be a shame if it died just out of them being behind the curve on the digital side.
I don’t play but the shop I play other games at still runs tournaments they seem to be getting a decent amount of players mostly young kids like middle school age
At a glance in Austin you might think its dead, but it's really because Game Kastle and a couple other shops absorbed all the players because they provide a better prize support and general service and personable experience.
To me The new enchanted cards look lazy and bland. I have no idea who thought it was a good art decision. And yes the online game taken away definitely hurt the game. Not in a huge way but it definitely pushed a lot away. I’m glad I got out when I did. Good luck to those who still enjoy it. I do hope it gets better for those people.
It’s definitely a preference thing. I actually kind of like that they went with treasure map x davinci drawings for the set featuring Pirates and inventors. Still waiting for them to announce a Chip n Dale enchanted though or we riot.
Magic is no fun to me. Starter decks were always really unbalanced when i tried it. Yugioh is to complicated. Pokemon is boring af. Lorcana is a really nice game imo. My gf and i have fun every round we play and the starter decks feel really balanced.
MTG players consider Lorcana a Game for 6 years olds. If a MTG player is quitting the game to play other TCG its either Flesh & Blood or One Piece. Lorcana is waaaaaaaaay too simple for a MTG player.
This guy is way off. The price changing happens with EVERY SET in EVERY GAME… unless that set changes the meta and/or introduces new, unique, or disruptive mechanics, then that price goes up!!
I don’t believe I framed it like that. Stock increasing because the health of the game is strong is driving prices down post release. It only hurts it as a collectors product while it’s still in rotation.
@@WillowSkyes are collections investments? do they have value? Why would you purchase something that has 0 value in return? I just honestly think there's a balance there. Collectors and players are good for the hobby. Collectors actually drive singles prices down.
Its more alive than magic and pokemon id say, and those are the top 2 on the market today. I dont think people realize that just because everyone you know isnt playing means a card game is dead or not successful
When I hear the $50 under MSRP thing... just like Pokemon and everything else? We have the two first sets now selling for either $80 over MSRP or $10 under and the game has only been out for a year. That's actually amazing. By the way, Pokemon sets even like Surging Sparks MSRP for $161.64 and presale for $100.
@@RuunanLorcana so in your opinion they're too expensive? I guess my thought is that RB is in a pretty good place right now. If they were too cheap, you'd have complaining about that too.
Once you get most of the meta cards, the good thing is that they can be reused in so many decks. I think $300/400 is a little daunting for new players starting from scratch though.
@@RuunanLorcana I guess assuming you have to have the best of the best and compete at the highest level, then that's what you'd pay. But considering the prices of boxes, and how often Diablos and BTH are pulled, I don't think it's bad at all. That being said, consider the price of a starter deck right now. $10 to $12 along with a pack. That's all it takes to get started.
This video makes absolutely no sense LOL I have approximately 11 or 12 TCG shops around me and all of them have weekly or tournaments that have decent sized showings. Whenever new stock comes in it goes out real quick as well. I also just sold two Enchanted cards that aren't very playable in The Meta for $70 each. Sounds like someone is just disgruntled about there not being an online platform which I understand to a degree, but that definitely doesn't mean a dead game. I mean how dare they make it to where you actually have to face people in person in this digital age
It’s an open ended question, just countering what you see online about it. I make it pretty clear I think now is actually the best time to play Lorcana.
I liked the game, but I sincerely hope it dies so that Disney learns that vindictively policing their IP isn't the best business model. I discovered Lorcana from my LGS but Pixelborn was what got my hooked and invested in the community. I have so much less interest in paying big money traveling to play Lorcana now that they've nuked the far-and-away best means for testing out decks in advance.
@@RuunanLorcana It's almost like they should have rolled that out first before spitefully shutting down the volunteer platform that most of their customers used. Don't reward companies that treat you like shit.
Affordable cards does not mean a game is dying, it makes the game available for more fans.
Exactly. Great for players bad for collectors.

I used to have mine sealed up and on display on my desk. Way more fun to actually play with them :)
Our Midwest store beats out standard magic every Friday.

There are 7 LGS's within 30 minutes of me. All playing multiple days each week and turn out is growing.
I’m jealous! I have a few an hour away from me, which can be hard to make it to them if I work late.
Its def not dead lol
cope more
You forgot a "yet" there lol
Its going down, down, down, down and down. Its just a matter of how much distance left till hitting the ground.
Definitely needs a mobile game
I've been saying this as well. And show to go with the story would make sense to help with getting more kids and adults into the game.
Especially with pokémon getting pokémon tcg pocket, it isn’t dead but it is getting outclassed fs
Or a console game somewhat like Kingdom hearts chain of memories.
I don’t play but the shop I play other games at still runs tournaments they seem to be getting a decent amount of players mostly young kids like middle school age
My shop has a great mix. Not enough kids to do their own league yet, but definitely still very popular.
Lorcana is far from dead. I invest heavy in Pokémon and lorcana and def like the lorcana cards better
New sets are available and there's plenty of supply so it's cheaper, old sets' demand is still higher than the supply
At a glance in Austin you might think its dead, but it's really because Game Kastle and a couple other shops absorbed all the players because they provide a better prize support and general service and personable experience.
Interesting. I travel to Austin for work a few times a year, haven’t had the chance to play locally there yet though.
They pumped out too much too fast.

Def not dead, I just wish they didn’t shut down pixelborn
Same. Still holding out hope for their own client one day.
With everything going on with Magic the gathereing there is a good chance a lot of players are going to move from that to lorcana
And we will welcome them with open arms :)

Nope flesh and blood is the second option for magic players

Cardboard shouldn't be an investment

lorcanito is not too bad to play online
I’ve not yet heard of this, but wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t last too long like pixelborn.
No way. I think its thriving!
It's growing in popularity where I live SA.
It’s too expensive tbh
I agree, game costs way too much for what it is.
That’s fair. Most of the meta cards are pretty pricy. Only way to fix that would be to do reprints

Very true.
The game is growing. Not dying
Your wishes are not reality lmao. With each set Lorcana is selling less and less and less, all the sites that track TCG sales show this.
They dont do much promotion 😢
Nope! I play locals 3 times a week
…lulz ….F2F just grabbed them in Canada for their MTG circuit events

@RuunanLorcana you know what, youre right you did. I'll leave the comment to engage conversation on your page, but retract some of the detail here.
No worries :). Thank you for engaging.
Ps. I love this game so much I have a new video dropping today revealing something I have been working on
Nah

I wouldn’t be surprised if we get an official digital product for the game one day. It plays so well online and makes it a lot more discoverable.
