To me there's no such thing as low tier and top tier, its how you use the character and how skilled you are. just keep grinding and learn the character you wanna play .

I hope Capcom doesn't see this video. Mad props to Donpachi, but Alex may very well stay garbage if they see this godlike play. I'm still praying for new normals and/or new specials in future updates (DDT and 3rd strike back H punch please!). While I wait, I'm gonna dissect the crap out of this video and be the best Alex I can be.

Im my opnion there is 2 different Alexs, the first is that one everybody says that sucks on neutral and has terrible normals and is a bottom tier character, the second one is that juggernaut that stuns you and kills you in 2 hits that most of people forgets. Thats why i think we will never see a very good Alex on neutral, because he is a very good momentum character, i dont mean by that he has to be BAD on neutral but its the way he is, terrible on deffense and awesome on offense, not mention that v-trigger's parry, that shit is annoying as fuck

Alex player here. The bummer about this. Alex still fucking sucks. This guy is just really really fucking good at making reads. like godlike even.
Alex is more than likely holding him back. 90 percent of the shit this guy did in this video was unsafe as hell. But he had the read on his opponent and made it to super diamond + with alex. Like thats VERY good with such an objectively bad character. Just like imagine this same guy playing urien or any other top tier with the same amount of skill. Im sure he could be an even higher rank.

and this is the reason why dragon punches should be invincible on wake up. you get mind less rush down plus he is a grab character?
atum hotep there is nothing mindless about Alex rushing down. lol. To apply pressure, you really have to be in your opponent's head because once he knocks you down he loses advantage.

I'd get owned by any Alex players who even half knows what they're doing. I just don't come up against enough Alex players to know the match up very well. I'm gonna guess that's probably the case for most SFV players...including Alex players themselves! Alex and Dhalsims...I hate those matchups...but as I mentioned earlier, it's mostly because I don't know all the ins and outs of those characters.

I don't know about you, but the Alex match up SUCKS! Can't throw fireballs, can't play footsies(his range is WAY better than mine), can't block, it's a nightmare.
Nick Clark Alex used to be my worst matchup by far too. Here is some advice
*Everything he does is either neutral or negative on block, punish him.
*If you think he's going to try and command grab you do a mixup like a neutral jump when he expects to be able to read you and punish.
*You CAN do whatever fireballs and go in as long as he doesn't have V-Trigger, and if he does have it don't let him use it.

I guess he plays with no respect? Idk how the tournament rolls or what their rules are but I don't see anyone play like this in any tournaments. Usually this is how you should play any SF game, cause this is how I play too, all out, screw waiting for punishables, and who cares if your moves gf t punished, go all in and win or die trying. That's my motto for any fighting game. This guy is pretty good, and plays just how any fighting game is meant to be played, is all. I'd like to go up against this guy.
