@@partheev9178 i dont know if it's top 5, since i've said like 20 times since the beginning of the cpt season "wow best match of the year for now" and since i dont want to rank these 20 matches (approx. 1 per premier but sometimes in rankings) i ll just consider "one of the sickest matches" as top 20. furthermore this is a ft2 and i really prefer long sets (best are ft7 imo followed by ft10, ft5, ft3 and ft2)

One of the, if not the, most hype matches on SFV history, hands down. RBK 2018 was a true spectacle.
SF5 can be so hype when you see other characters than the boring top tier (Akuma, Guile, Cammy, Menat, Ibuki). Really fun match to watch.

I don't ever get tired of seeing Fujimura Sako Tokido or Daigo. Even someone like Xioahai is entertaining. You can complain about it being a Top Tier fest but it's the way they play those characters that make it interesting. Same way GunFight uses Alex or Angry Bird uses Zeku like you know that's their play style and how deep it goes. I wouldn't just watch any random Akuma or any random Menat, its the fact that everyone uses these characters now that it gets boring cause they play very simple I don't like it. To me i see it as just enough to grind through the ranks. Not actually put on a hype show in a RedBull Kumite. You're playing the character never the person that's what I hate the most when it comes to what I've seen online and been through myself. I have to shake my damn head sometimes like really

That's the same for virtually every fighting game. Tale as old as time. That's why the hate towards SFV always escapes me. There's a lot of hype with the title and we'll see more as the people really develop the entire cast. The Pro Tour makes it so that the pro's feel they HAVE to pick top tiers to be viable. I don't think it's like it was in the past where you take your time to develop the character, knowing you might not be competitive for up to six months and maybe even longer. Now the pro's cannot afford that loss of income for so long a period of time.
Nope it was just a tight match if zeku alex were toptier you would probably say the same about zeku and alex being boring because they are toptier xD tight matches are always hype no matter what tier

"Low Tier" match-ups at the highest level is the hype level lifeblood of fighting games.
Zeku isn't low tier though. He has too many tools that other legit low tiers do not possess and a mile long list of setups and tech with a ton more that has yet to be discovered since hardly anyone plays him. He also has fairly decent match ups against established high tiers like Guile, Akuma, Cammy and Menat.
But I do want to see more high level matches like this at tournaments that aren't just an endless parade of Cammys, Akumas, Ibuki's, Menats and Guiles with the occasional Abigail, Mika, or Urien specialist filling out the top 16.
He's not low tier he is mid tier...low tiered characters are Ryu, Alex, Zangief, Ed, Vega,
@@skipfuego6339 "low tier" is probably his way of saying not cammy, guile, akuma, menat, ibuki, rashid, abigail etc. Sure Zeku is competitive compared to the cast, but he's still low tier compared to what you see in top 16

That's impressive how incredible are SFV matches when a skilled player uses characters outside the boring top tier ones. This set is easily one of of the most entertaining I' ve watched in a long, long time. Gunfight makes an incredible presentation with Alex. And Capcom, please level the game a bit better so we can watch more matches like these. Your game and the crowd deserve better.

Zeku would be a good pick up. he's only one tweak away from top tier in each form, and with S4 around the corner he could make the jump from mid to high tier

It's the person controlling the character not the other way around...Just because a lot of gamers like yourself doesn't have any skills to bring out lowered tiered characters doesn't mean he has to go to another character like the rest of the FGC... That's one of the reasons why this game is trash now.

Easy to say in hindsight, but when you're playing Alex, nothing you do is real. Sometimes you j u s t g o t t a.
A grab on okie is pretty crazy which is why IT WOULD’VE WORKED ON ME
that jump back was crazy because he was under so much pressure and gunfight was some what punishing jumps I think both played an amazing game and it came down to Rock Paper Scissors
@@raritythefabulous bullshit! It was obvious gunfight was looking for another grab. The first reaction to most people is to jump out of it.
@@skipfuego6339 For one, it wasn't necessarily obvious, which I say as an Alex player and avid watcher of Gunfight.
Secondly, even if we allow the idea that it was VERY obvious, that doesn't necessarily mean that you should jump. You have to consider the concept of yomi. If I am playing a grappler, and I want to hit you with a meaty on your wakeup, it would do me very well to make it *appear* very obvious that I wanted to grab you. It's a bluff. And for the bluff to work, sometimes I have to *actually* do what it appears I'm going to do.
@@TheKingPlutan yeah, gunfight had landed every other command grab after a F+heavy punch. going straight into it thise time was him trying to get payoff on conditioning. But FT2 sets dont let you do stuff like that often
