This is perfect for my overlanding adventure to Costco.
It would be perfect for whaling trip to wallmart
And a colorful adventure to paint your nails in EPA green. 😂
Nah, Whole Foods is over landing hotspot right now.
@@dr3amboy3657 next is Moab sprouts.
i've literally seen this comment by 10000000000 other people, if you're not going to say anything clever at least be original
Bring back the manual transmission in the 4runner
I've been a sub since the Hoonigans Autofocus. You get the most amazing action on cars. Keep up the Excellent Content!
Loved his point about getting this specific take. I'm not on Larry's channel for all the tech spec or a boring vid; I'm here for the good vibes!!
The LC is the new Prado for other Markets, the lexus GX is the luxury version of the LC.
And there are to Fronts for the new LC Prado, the heritage edition that is the one with the circular headlights, and the other version that have a horizontal headlights.
In other markets come with a Diesel engine.
It is assumed that the nature of the LC Prado is more urban with the possibility of off-roading, while the 4Runner is the other way around.
Can’t wait to see 37 of these parked outside a Denver Costco
A real shame when Colorado is such a beautiful state.
oh because your gt3 (IF that's even your real car) lives on the track yea? ok little buddy
@@ChristianC-gy1ym Porsche owners generally have more than one car, especially Porsche sports car owners. This guy seems to have an Audi RS3 and just likes that GT3 lettering. The RS3 is an absolutely badass car. My only issue with the 4Runner is that front snouty rear everything, and the embarassing TRD and Trailhunter trims. They look very childish. Sadly Toyota is in the stage of heavily emphasizing their brands.
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566 Dont most people have multiple vehicles at their disposal? Or so I thought. Looks like my point still stands....
Mass produced street legal cars are first and foremost STREET cars. We just need to kindly accept the fact that a "sports" car is going to never see track time. That an overlander will live out its entire life in costco parking lots. A f150 will never carry more than groceries and occasional home depot hauls. For the most part. No need for immature overused tropes
@@ChristianC-gy1ym If people have multiple cars why don't they drive their fuel efficient car to the grocery store?
I think they nailed the looks. But I like to see some of the cheaper trims like SR5 or TRD off-road or sports that most of us can actually afford.
I’d be stoked to see tours of the Mexico and Texas facilities! Loved the Tahara tour!
Great video!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Just found your channel 👍🏼👍🏼
Damm that 4Runner looks good!
Love the channel and video like this!
Great video as always ,
The 5th gen has the hidden rear wiper.
The front looks nice. The back looks weird to me. Also the gloss black is funky.
Kinda throwing some Isuzu Vehicross vibes
I luv them and have been waiting to upgrade my car! Wanna see the TRD Off Road.
Toyota/Lexus is killin' it !
Anyone hear of pricing for the different models? I'm sure it's going to be a big bump over the 5th gens...
Did yall notice everybody review videos dropped at the same time???
Contracted
@@squid_fish definitely
Media embargo
Thats very common with new cars… automakers have media enbargos until a certain date
all new products are like that. NDA
Appreciate the vid! 🫶
4runner looks great
What’s the mpg on these bad boys now? Still 16?
LC 250 is a Global Platform while the North American 4runner added two more trims from before and two powerplant options. The 4runner like the Sequioa will not be a good 3rd row option unless it's in the more hybrid version due to limited space.
the Land Cruiser 250 IS the new Prado in some markets, namely mine which is in Jamaica.
When the NDA drops and we get the notifications for the new marketing video from everyone 👌
Ah Man That Hood Scoop! 😮
💯💪🏽💯
So sweet looking and I like to hear all the new specs. Will be interesting to feel low end via 4cyl turbo and maybe some MPG bump. Also interested to see the tow capacity though…
Glad to have Larry showing it to us first; the OG photog ❤ edit: stoked to see a third row option Thanks 🇯🇵 ✌🏽
Allegedly 6k tow cap. 😊
Will the 6th Gen 4rnr get manual transmissions as previously stated in preproduction speculation news?
5th gen’s rear wiper is hidden in the same spot only it points to the driver’s side.
That blue green color is beautiful
Are the cup holders finally big enough for hydroflask style cups?
They all look Awesome. Toyota is killing it 👑🌟💎
Trailhunter has Old Man Emu suspention, so heavier duty springs vs Baja style TRD Pro
I love that lc250 they killed it with the design on those. Now it’s up to the dealerships to not mark em up 10k.
Like the 4runner too good job Toyota as usual. That trail hunter 4runner is soemthing special. That thing is so sick.
Forsure the trailhunter
Honestly I have a made in Mexico TRD sport 2022 in blueberry. 22,000 miles later, it has been perfect. Not one issue. Even paint is perfect.
The 4runner stands alone, it still looks Rugged and unique in my opinion. I Love it. :) I will be trading my Limited for the new Limited 4runner. Awesome!!!
10:35 A TON of different cars have this feature. Multiple slots, Some even a super high nearly vertical one called the service position. He will start seeing these everywhere now.
How does the TRD Off-Road compare to the PRO and Trail Hunter?
What kind of range can we expect- what is the gas tank capacity?
full power consumerism, i want my 30 screen , 200 sensor infotainment system while i transport my wifes boyfriends sister to her dance practice, i demand turbo supercharged hybrid powertrains that wisk me away briskly during my lease payment period.
Thanks for review bud. A lot of gripes with the new T4R though. Cheap plasticky and shiny fenders. Large screen on the inside is a waste. I think a lot of things are a nice touch of an update but, drivetrain is.. well, missing what the runner should have. Let’s be honest here, Toyota would have had more sales if they went the diesel route vs the problematic Iforce that Toyota had with, and still has, in all of their vehicles. And one more thing, Tacoma has weak drivetrain, snapping transfer cases - wouldn’t be surprised if runner will not be better.
Good review though.
I wonder if the 4 runner will replace the Thailand/australia/South Africa Fortuner
One would guess the 3rd row option will only be avalible in the non hybrid powertrains
I was thinking the same thing. I suppose it also depends on how low they could get the seats/how thick they are. If they're essentially just attached to the battery cover with no rails, I could see them fitting it on top of it.
Nope. There are official images of the hybrid GX with a third row.
Buy a 2024 and get the V6
You better do something big here in San Antonio when you get the invite!
What sun hat do you use?
Why not black non-gloss side cladding?....
any of those has manual gearbox ?
I never roll down the back glass off-road or when I’m back on the highway, the sand from dirt road travel collects horribly bad on the back glass, even if you just crack it open, it sucks all that sand collected inside. I can only roll my back glass down when my 4runner is completely clean of sand, which is never..
Also I’m over 6 foot and sleep in my 2022 4runner comfortably. Those seats on the trail hunter fold down crazy and can’t sleep inside. That sucks.
When I saw the Trailhunter Flared fenders in black. My first thought was... and Ford, couldn't design this look in the retractable fenders, for the New Bronco? Just another reason why Toyota's a top 5 auto brand globally. And Ford's maybe #15.
Did Larry sell his lx570?
The difference between the 4Runner and Land Cruiser is mainly the interior width. If u need a 3rd row u can go 4Runner or jump to a sequoia.
well
it is vesy odd
it has two fascias
one with the TOYOTA letters
and another one without letters
Man if I could only have one car channel on UA-cam I think it would be Larry’s 😂
Toyota is KING 👑 !
What i find strange is them still having both TRD and GR for their racey offerings. Is TRD for offroad and GR for track? Next Fortuner and Hilux will probably look like these
Damn that’s a good looking vehicle
Rear window wiper was on 5th Gen
22:27 - 22:30 That's what she said 🙂
😍😍
Trailhunter = rock crawler/overlander. TRD Pro = Desert Runner. Trailhunter will be more expensive as I seen the build sheets as it has a lot more options/mods. Plus dealer mark up will be astronomical.
neat
Key will be the pricing for these. Needs to be less than the land cruiser prado
Would love to find a decently spec 2024 Tacoma OR for 45k out the door.. but that will never happen, at least by me. Trd sports are going for around 55k sticker lol. Youll be at 60 by the time the dealer is done with you.
A lot of them have 2000 dollar pin strip and door protectors
And 2000 dollar "ceramic coating". Wild.
They have like 5000+ dollars in stupid dealer options
Order one.
@@MB1000or don’t order one unless is MSRP.
If you go in and order one, can you lock in exactly what the price out the door will be? Iv never bought a new car and would be a little hesitant. Get it all done and built for say 43,500 and it gets delivered and all of a sudden it's at 49,500 (I know tax would be part of it).
I was talking to someone and he said a dealer he was trying to use was giving him issues since he wasn't financing through Toyota. I wouldn't be either. Have a credit union offering 3% which is far better then Toyotas like 10% lol
Thanks for the help!
@@CoopaCoop sometimes ass hole dealer will add shit to the car before you take delivery. Be specific go over the numbers. When the car gets there and something is different and not in your favor. Walk away.
@@AntilleanConfederation aye thanks for the insight man. Appreciate it! I'll have to go in and see what they can do about building one
wonder how much features the TRD-OFFROAD will get.
Perfect overlander back to the dealership for breaking!!!!
I like the call backs to the first gen, The black part above the rear license plate and the third row glass wrapping to the roof. now only if the top was removable again!
Where’s the manual is there one
Man, the commentary between these two compared to some of the other reviews is leagues better. Pretty sure they were only ones that have stated the obvious, of the LC is is the more mature car where as the 4Runner is the younger enthusiast oriented, boy racer, off roader. But guy's, the 5th gen also has a hidden wiper.
“Look at this… handle” 🤦🏼♂️😂
Long live the v8 4Runner
Is that a TeRDy Pro?
Turdy Bro
I'm excited about the midsize Toyota Off-road SUV lineup. Hopefully the rich go with the Land Cruiser and GX 550 and leave the 4Runner to working/middle-income people (I'm scared to see what's gonna be the base price lol). If the 6th Gen is priced ludicrously I have no problems holding onto my 5th Gen until early 6th Gens begin to depreciate lol
When are you gonna be shooting formula 1 and MotoGP
❤
Manual should be standard and a diesel option would be be cool but manual is a must
Diesel version please
Better run out and get a Gen5. 2026 TrdPro doesn't cut the mustard. Cargo space compromised by hybrid battery pack. Rear seats "tumble" forward and take up too much space. Rear seat occupant leg room looks tight, especially on egress. Do you really need all the "tech" when you're hitting the trail?
Tried and true Gen5 just can't be beat for the true adventurer. JMHO.
We need this in Australia
I like the 6th gen but if i had the money id buy the 5 gen.
No shocks in the seats... how will I ever go on?
I do not believe you can get a TRD pro or Trail Hunter in base turbo trim.
If the 4Runner does not have the same windshield rake angle as the LC 250/300 then I would pick the 4Runner, instead.
can't wait to drive this puppy to Trader Joe's
For the money, I’m going L A N D C R U I S E R
Geeez it looks good
Dodge, take notes.
“Let’s just talk about”….why these Toyotas have NO front lockers?
Front Looks better than Tacoma
Fender outline and rear window slant or kink look lame.
I’ll take a bunch of Jeep wjs
The trail hunter is cooler IMO
Manual transmission please…
Pretty good looking car but those gloss black flares are so tacky. Looks like the unpainted flares on some highschooler's truck
who is gonna buy the land cruiser?
Anyone with decent taste who can afford it. Waaayyyyy better looking vehicle than the new 4Runner.
They all look good except the Tundra. Toyota needs to change Tundra looks.
Costco
Biggest reason for me not wanting the taco. Because it’s from Mexico. Japan built , much better quality control.
New 4runners for hawaii cops lol
Snorkels are for water fording. Not for a “cleaner” air source in dusty conditions.
Is for both. Desert runners have them too. Ever watch Dakar rally?
@@AntilleanConfederation no, it isn’t. It’s strictly for water fording. That’s why desert race cars NEVER have them. It’s because they don’t go through water nearly as often as rally cars do, and that’s all a snorkel is good for.
@@billballin6948 well. Dakar runners have them.
@@AntilleanConfederation because they go through water. No water=no snorkel. There isn’t a single trophy truck, class 10, class 1, 1400, etc that has one, because they don’t go through water lol
I hate this trend of downsizing engines. I love my 4.0 v6 Tacoma
Everybody focusing on the looks without realizing the payload on this thing is an absolute joke. The specs take two seconds to look at guys.
