    Screws lose is the least of issues a gun can have. Most people would take off screws and locktite when they took out of box. I watched 50 videos on this gun and this was first mention. Thanks for update.

      Always need locktite but when haven't attached a optic yet and straight from the factory this shouldn't happen. Not everyone uses optics.

    Thanks for the video. You are the 2nd or 3rd UA-camr that has bring this shortcoming of the provided screws and cover plate. Has not being worse since most reviews either used the review sample that included a red dot, or install one right away.

    • @rich1958
      @rich1958 Рік тому

      Could be worse… the gun could discharge with your finger off the trigger like the p320. This gun will be the new king assuming all 100 people who did videos are not shills. P320 is a POS and unsafe. Even if safe, it is horrible. I proudly own glock, Cz, S&W, canik, sig etc. echelon will be next!

    Mine did the same thing after about 200 rounds, I never tightened the screws or put Loctite on them. RMR is installed now and ive shot another 500 rnds (with Loctite) and its still just as solid as when i first put it on.
    For anyone who buys the gun and doesn't intend to install an optic put some Loctite on before range day.

  •  11 місяців тому +1

    I’ve been very interested in the Echelon, I’m considering buying one. I like it that you bought your own. Makes me feel I can trust the review more. Interestingly, I’ve only had one gun that the slide cover flew off of and that was the Springfield Hellcat. I lost a screw, so I contacted Springfield and they sent me two new screws. I blue loctited them and have not had any more problems.

    In my opinion... I believe it was those atomic rounds your buddy loads for you that backed out those optic plate screws. I think it's important to double check the screws, pins, all moving parts on any gun before a range day. Never assume all is right in pew pew land. Great review and thanks for the unbiased opinion.

    The optics cover plates on Springfields don’t come torqued down in my experience because they use to be in so tight you have to get a soldering iron and heat the screws to remove them, and most people want to put an optic on right out the box. A lot of customers would strip the screws attempting to remove the plates. I understand the disappointment tho if you just want to shoot it without inspecting or planing on add an optic. When I took my prodigy out the box the optic was mounted but not secure because the battery wasn’t installed. I didn’t know that at the time I just to the gun out locked the slide to the rear and the optic and plate fell off, but after further inspection I knew why. I shot the Echelon at the Springfield event and saw a few thousand rounds go the one with no stoppages or malfunctions.

    X-ray alpha on UA-cam and Instagram believes in pulling straight through the trigger, rather than finding the wall. It's a valid technique, and with a good enough grip, trigger quality doesn't matter that much for handguns.

      @@TalkingHands308 I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Just because not all guns are designed with optimal controls, doesn't change what is most optimal. How often do you see guns without slide releases used by top level competitors? How about top level military organizations?

    • @TalkingHands308
      @TalkingHands308 Рік тому

      @@KeterMalkuth I couldn't care less about competitions. I'm talking about using methods that are universal so that if you're ever in a situation where the only thing you can use is someone else's gun, it'll still work exactly the same with the same muscle memory you have. And switching from one gun to the other won't have any difference to the manual of arms. And what also works consistently while wearing gloves. I've seen so many people fumble with the slide release lever while wearing gloves. Hopefully that doesn't happen when your life is on the line. But anyway, you do you my friend. 👍

    When you take a gun out of the box and don’t disassemble it, clean it and check it out, you can expect this. Instead of trying to induce failures, why don’t you ensure success? When you take it to the range without going over it first, you accept responsibility for its failures. Police departments have an armory that cleans their duty guns before issuing them.
