This is my second time around all the series. So important to re-watch the videos. And what a difference I feel from the first time I tried these exercises. Peta, love you for developing this miraculous system of re-vivifying our faces without plastic surgery. Btw, if you are someone who is just starting out and you are doing them the first time through, wait until series 5 or so and you WILL see results. Just stick with it and listen to Peta! I am beating 63 down!
I love the updates! Thank you for breaking down each individual exercise. So far, I've improved what I've been doing in Series 1. For me, I imagine the lift and squeeze to be like energy waves that I visualize coming from whatever muscle I'm working in an exercise, and I " see" those waves going upward, outward, or inward respectively. I can even " feel" those waves, especially when I'm doing anything with the cheeks or forehead. If I really mentally tap into those waves, my face always looks far more lifted and fresher than the days when I'm not visualizing them. It might sound too New Age-y, but for me, it WORKS!
This is my favorite one! Hands down. I noticed my cheekbones filling in at around the 9 month mark and I can feel the facial muscles more prominently now when I do the exercise...Looking forward to seeing how it looks after another nine months. Have confidence that it totally works. I do 5 exercises for my face and one for my nose. All done in no more than 10 mins while I am washing my face in the morning. I never work through any pain and take days off whenever my face is sore and start over again. Don't be in a rush, you have your whole life to do it... Lifesaver, Peta!

I know the hand placement is often for resistance. However, my hands don't seem to be doing anything in this exercise. It would be great to hear how the hand placement is helping out in this one. Thnaks!
Hi R Frederick, I am a gym member and have been with Peta for over 2 years, the finger placements are to stop wrinkles and crunching up of skin as well as resistance. If we press and plant then the muscles being pressed do not move and we can exercise the correct muscles, it also prevents the skin from wrinkling while doing the exercises. Hello Peta, It took me a couple months to learn the Series 1 routine due to travelling, etc. On consecutively doing them for only ten days, I'm seeing improvement on my cheeks and nose. My nose wasn't even a problem but now it's more nicely-shaped. It's exciting to see the benefits so quickly. A question about the Upper Cheek. After the placement of the middle finger, I get several tiny lines under my eye bags. Should I be concerned? Place my finger higher? Again, thank you so much for your time and effort.
I seem to wrinkle my upper lip when trying to put my mouth in the O position. I am having a difficult time lifting this muscle. But will give it time as you suggest to beginners. So grateful to have hope of improving my aging face. Thank you for what you do!

Dear Peta, Thanks a lot for updating this exercise in details. The descriptions were organized accordingly, I would like to ask a few questions, regarding my concern: 1) By making "o" shape with the mouth and lips, it seems that the " Philtrum" gets longer, and the lips get thinner, through the repititions. As there is no exercise for either strengthening the philtrum or fuller lips in " series 1" , wouldn't this exercises result in even more thinner lips ,and longer philtrum in 6 weeks? I appreciate your response. 2) In the original version of this exercise, as far as I remember, you emphasized on covering the upper teeth with upper lip, does it differ from this update? Or is it the same ( equivalent to making " o" shape)? 3) Thanks for reminding in utilizing " lift & squeeze" technique: so as you indicated, we should not lift the muscles beside the nose, and the zygomaticus muscle should be lifted..Question: should the lift's direction be "diagonally" ( as well as the squeeze ) , in order not to lift the wrong muscle?( both "up" & "out" are diagonal. and ."up" is not perdendicular)? 4) The placement of the hands and fingers: It looks like they are NOT placed "firmly" ( as we do in "press & plant") are they? Do we just place them with a very slight pressure? And if so, how does the isolation take place with this amount of pressure. QUESTION:-----Hi Peta, thanks for this update, I love this exercise. I do a lot of cardio workout with a lot of jumping and I was wondering if there was a similar exercise to do while working out. Some kind of a "hand free hold" or something to focus on while jumping and feeling my cheeks jumping as well... Thank you for everything you do for us, and I wish you all the best.
Dear Peta, Thank you so much for your helpful videos. I had no clue such exercises existed until I came across your channel! I'm very greatful :) . I'm 26 now and been doing them for a year and I find it helped the droopiness I didn't like in my cheeks. The only thing is when I do the exercises I find it that the back of my neck begins to ache quite a bit which is partly the reason why I can't do exercise for longer. Do you know why this might be happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I love your series. I am a beginner and have a problem, My forehead always wants to wrinkle up when I do this, I need a third hand to press on my forehead to keep it from moving, LOL. Any suggestions on how to keep my forehead muscles from 'helping' so much?

Hey I only have one hand in use. How do I get things done when one hand is missing? My face is already older, I'm 53 years old, and there is no asset injections, let alone the surgery. I was immensely excited, when I realized that massaging the face makes the lymphatic circulation work. For four weeks done a facial massage and facial expressions. I have dark eyelids. When staying outdoors for a long time, though For 5 consecutive hours a day, the darkness and lines disappear. This is possible only in summer. Dry weather. We only have 4 summer months: May, June, July, and August. Other time is spent in the dark. Indoors. In the north when we live
Youre program is awesom! Love it! But i cant get hand on this cheek exercises.. I dont feel muscles, i am focusing, but just cant get there. Ive been doing these for two weeks now and i can feel my forehead geting thightent and other places on the face. Just not the cheeks. And they are the worst problem.
Peta will this lift mouth corners? It is a problem area and I’m trying to stick to routines as you do them but this area still problematic. Just finished series 6 and starting again as advised. Any advice would be great .. Thank you for amazing routines. 🙏🏻
I can't find anything that works for the mouth corners. She has one video listed for mouth corners, so when I made my own routine (as she has suggested we can do), and incorporated the mouth corner lifter, it had the OPPOSITE effect, and after 2 weeks of doing 50 reps, when I relaxed my face in the mirror, the corners of my mouth pulled down further than ever! I was horrified!!! So now I'm only following the series she has listed and cannot make my own routine. Why does she make so many videos that aren't in any series? I don't think making your own routine will benefit.
I do not suggest to do your own routines any longer and have not for the past 3 years. Lesson learned, I would suggest that you maybe watch my videos, my updated videos, because if you did this would not have happened at all. Making your own routine does not work because basically people do not know how to do it properly and is why i stopped it happening. Please stick to the routines that I have created and be consistent and you will get results over time, just like you would if you went to the gym consistently.

This exercise seems to be creating more nasolobial folds for me...Peta, please could you advise what could be going wrong. I am following the instructions as per your video.
Hi Dibbha, are you following the full face routines or doing this one exercise? also, you need to be doing this gently if you are seeing adverse results. It could be you are not isolating the nasolabial folds enough. Its hard to say because I cant see you performing the exercise, so you need to watch the video again to see where you could be going wrong. Watch yourself in the mirror while doing the exercise and you will see whats happening

Peta, I have been trying this for weeks but I cannot do it without increasing my laughter lines. I also can't put my mouth in that funny smiling position. Is there another option?
I do that, I am following the videos completely, I have watched them all many times, but I can't put my mouth in that position and everything I try just increases the lines. If the sides of my mouth move up in any way they increase the laughter lines. It is the laughter lines that are my biggest concern. I would join the gym because I presume that would give me more advice but I can't because I am in the UK. It is a real shame, because I am happy with all the other exercises and I don't want to have to give up the program because of the one exercise.

Hi Beachandbluesky1 Peta has updated all the series 1-6 in which there are marionette line exercises, follow the program Peta has a program, if we follow the program just as Peta tells us, we can achieve wonderful results. Here is the program: The program is a full face routine, we do not do just one exercise for a specific area of our face, we must follow the full face routine. We start with series 1 we start with 50 reps of each exercise in series 1 we do the exercises at the same time of day for 5 days, then on the 6th day we do the a massage, on the 7th day we rest. We do 50 reps in the above format for 2 weeks, then we do 100 reps for 2 weeks then we do 150 reps for 2 weeks. The series takes 6 weeks to complete. Then we take a week off, during this week we learn the exercises for series 2, trying to learn an exercise a day, looking in the mirror and listening to what Peta is telling us to do in the videos. After the week off we start series 2 with 50 reps for 2 weeks as per above format. We start with series 1 and work through to series 6, then we start all over again with series 1. I appreciate that you're busy & have a life... but... I've noticed eye bag/dark circles increase when doing cheek lifting exercises; any way to combat this? Appreciate any help 😘

There are a lot of muscles in our faces and Peta explains the best way to lift the muscle in the correct way for the best results. If we just follow what Peta says we will achieve great results. Hi Devaki, this exercise is in Series 1. When you look at all the series, all of the exercises are different and you cannot change or add to them. Just follow the series as shown and you will get results.

Can you help!? I do resting bitch face in my sleep & can't get rid of tension in my face while sleep. It's getting worse every year. I wake up with extremely deep 11 lines and laugh lines. I have been doing face yoga for five years, mewing for 2 years & have a great natural skin care routine. I go to sleep with young wrinkle free skin but wake up looking 10 years older everyday! you are actually meant to be doing this exercise as part of Series 1, full face routine. not as a one off exercise. if you continue doing just one exercise your eyebrow skin will droop more. Please stop and wait until you are older when you can commit to doing the full routines

Hi Peta! I've been doing this exercise for a couple of weeks and my cheeks are definitely more lifted! There is an issue though...I think because my cheek muscles are shifting more towards my ears, I'm losing muscle on another area on my face. There is a hollow area on either side of my nose, right below the inner corner of my eyes. Each time I smile or laugh, there are deep pockets there and it's frightening. Is there an exercise to fix this? Thank you! 🙏
no, i have never heard of that before, and it should not be happening, the exercises enhance your facial features, they do not change them. Are you following the full face routines or doing just this exercise. with my program you have to do the full face routines to get results, just like your body you cant spot exercise and is why you are probably having problems. If you are just doing this exercise, you need to stop and follow the program exactly to get results. All of the information is in the playlists and on the home page of my channel.

This is my second time around all the series. So important to re-watch the videos. And what a difference I feel from the first time I tried these exercises. Peta, love you for developing this miraculous system of re-vivifying our faces without plastic surgery. Btw, if you are someone who is just starting out and you are doing them the first time through, wait until series 5 or so and you WILL see results. Just stick with it and listen to Peta! I am beating 63 down!

I love the updates! Thank you for breaking down each individual exercise. So far, I've improved what I've been doing in Series 1.
For me, I imagine the lift and squeeze to be like energy waves that I visualize coming from whatever muscle I'm working in an exercise, and I " see" those waves going upward, outward, or inward respectively. I can even " feel" those waves, especially when I'm doing anything with the cheeks or forehead. If I really mentally tap into those waves, my face always looks far more lifted and fresher than the days when I'm not visualizing them. It might sound too New Age-y, but for me, it WORKS!
This is my favorite one! Hands down. I noticed my cheekbones filling in at around the 9 month mark and I can feel the facial muscles more prominently now when I do the exercise...Looking forward to seeing how it looks after another nine months. Have confidence that it totally works. I do 5 exercises for my face and one for my nose. All done in no more than 10 mins while I am washing my face in the morning. I never work through any pain and take days off whenever my face is sore and start over again. Don't be in a rush, you have your whole life to do it...

I know the hand placement is often for resistance. However, my hands don't seem to be doing anything in this exercise. It would be great to hear how the hand placement is helping out in this one. Thnaks!
Hi R Frederick, I am a gym member and have been with Peta for over 2 years, the finger placements are to stop wrinkles and crunching up of skin as well as resistance. If we press and plant then the muscles being pressed do not move and we can exercise the correct muscles, it also prevents the skin from wrinkling while doing the exercises. We do a full face routine and we follow Peta's program for success. Hello Peta, It took me a couple months to learn the Series 1 routine due to travelling, etc. On consecutively doing them for only ten days, I'm seeing improvement on my cheeks and nose. My nose wasn't even a problem but now it's more nicely-shaped. It's exciting to see the benefits so quickly. A question about the Upper Cheek. After the placement of the middle finger, I get several tiny lines under my eye bags. Should I be concerned? Place my finger higher? Again, thank you so much for your time and effort.

I seem to wrinkle my upper lip when trying to put my mouth in the O position. I am having a difficult time lifting this muscle. But will give it time as you suggest to beginners. So grateful to have hope of improving my aging face. Thank you for what you do!

Thanks a lot for updating this exercise in details. The descriptions were organized accordingly, I would like to ask a few questions, regarding my concern:
1) By making "o" shape with the mouth and lips, it seems that the " Philtrum" gets longer, and the lips get thinner, through the repititions. As there is no exercise for either strengthening the philtrum or fuller lips in " series 1" , wouldn't this exercises result in even more thinner lips ,and longer philtrum in 6 weeks? I appreciate your response.
2) In the original version of this exercise, as far as I remember, you emphasized on covering the upper teeth with upper lip, does it differ from this update? Or is it the same ( equivalent to making " o" shape)?
3) Thanks for reminding in utilizing " lift & squeeze" technique: so as you indicated, we should not lift the muscles beside the nose, and the zygomaticus muscle should be lifted..Question: should the lift's direction be "diagonally" ( as well as the squeeze ) , in order not to lift the wrong muscle?( both "up" & "out" are diagonal. and ."up" is not perdendicular)?
4) The placement of the hands and fingers: It looks like they are NOT placed "firmly" ( as we do in "press & plant") are they? Do we just place them with a very slight pressure? And if so, how does the isolation take place with this amount of pressure.

I'm 26 now and been doing them for a year and I find it helped the droopiness I didn't like in my cheeks. The only thing is when I do the exercises I find it that the back of my neck begins to ache quite a bit which is partly the reason why I can't do exercise for longer. Do you know why this might be happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I love your series. I am a beginner and have a problem, My forehead always wants to wrinkle up when I do this, I need a third hand to press on my forehead to keep it from moving, LOL. Any suggestions on how to keep my forehead muscles from 'helping' so much?

How do I get things done when one hand is missing?
My face is already older, I'm 53 years old, and there is no asset injections, let alone the surgery.
I was immensely excited, when I realized that massaging the face makes the lymphatic circulation work.
For four weeks done a facial massage and facial expressions.
I have dark eyelids. When staying outdoors for a long time, though
For 5 consecutive hours a day, the darkness and lines disappear.
This is possible only in summer. Dry weather.
We only have 4 summer months: May, June, July, and August.

I can't find anything that works for the mouth corners. She has one video listed for mouth corners, so when I made my own routine (as she has suggested we can do), and incorporated the mouth corner lifter, it had the OPPOSITE effect, and after 2 weeks of doing 50 reps, when I relaxed my face in the mirror, the corners of my mouth pulled down further than ever! I was horrified!!! So now I'm only following the series she has listed and cannot make my own routine. Why does she make so many videos that aren't in any series? I don't think making your own routine will benefit.
I do not suggest to do your own routines any longer and have not for the past 3 years. Lesson learned, I would suggest that you maybe watch my videos, my updated videos, because if you did this would not have happened at all. Making your own routine does not work because basically people do not know how to do it properly and is why i stopped it happening. Please stick to the routines that I have created and be consistent and you will get results over time, just like you would if you went to the gym consistently.

Hi Dibbha, are you following the full face routines or doing this one exercise? also, you need to be doing this gently if you are seeing adverse results. It could be you are not isolating the nasolabial folds enough. Its hard to say because I cant see you performing the exercise, so you need to watch the video again to see where you could be going wrong. Watch yourself in the mirror while doing the exercise and you will see whats happening

Peta, I have been trying this for weeks but I cannot do it without increasing my laughter lines. I also can't put my mouth in that funny smiling position. Is there another option?
place your mouth in an "O" position, making it taut and then place your hands as shown in the video and give that a go
I do that, I am following the videos completely, I have watched them all many times, but I can't put my mouth in that position and everything I try just increases the lines. If the sides of my mouth move up in any way they increase the laughter lines. It is the laughter lines that are my biggest concern. I would join the gym because I presume that would give me more advice but I can't because I am in the UK. It is a real shame, because I am happy with all the other exercises and I don't want to have to give up the program because of the one exercise.

Hi PETA, I have been following the EAWM series for almost three years now and can see significant positive changes. The only concern is that earlier I had eye bags which have reduced but I have developed malar bags now. Please do let me know how I can address this issue.

possibly try watching where I am placing my fingers as you may be subtly blocking the lymph flow around the bottom of your eye area

There are a lot of muscles in our faces and Peta explains the best way to lift the muscle in the correct way for the best results. If we just follow what Peta says we will achieve great results. Hi Devaki, this exercise is in Series 1. When you look at all the series, all of the exercises are different and you cannot change or add to them. Just follow the series as shown and you will get results.

you are actually meant to be doing this exercise as part of Series 1, full face routine. not as a one off exercise. if you continue doing just one exercise your eyebrow skin will droop more. Please stop and wait until you are older when you can commit to doing the full routines

Hi Peta! I've been doing this exercise for a couple of weeks and my cheeks are definitely more lifted!
There is an issue though...I think because my cheek muscles are shifting more towards my ears, I'm losing muscle on another area on my face. There is a hollow area on either side of my nose, right below the inner corner of my eyes. Each time I smile or laugh, there are deep pockets there and it's frightening. Is there an exercise to fix this? Thank you! 🙏
no, i have never heard of that before, and it should not be happening, the exercises enhance your facial features, they do not change them. Are you following the full face routines or doing just this exercise. with my program you have to do the full face routines to get results, just like your body you cant spot exercise and is why you are probably having problems. If you are just doing this exercise, you need to stop and follow the program exactly to get results. All of the information is in the playlists and on the home page of my channel.
