I just want to say how much i love this series. Having a beginner learning from a pro, asking questions and getting advice as they go is just great. Ive watched all these videos and have goten great tips even though ive detailed my own cars for 25 years...youre never too old to learn as ive never had to use a compound until a year or two ago when i first came across this series. Great work mates!
Dale is brilliant 👏 I love watching the enthusiasm towards his job. His clear explanation also gives me the idea he sees the effects of his work and method down to a micro level. Brilliant fella!
Guys I love the series! Just what I needed to learn it all 101. I have been doing most of it wrong all my life and now that I own a nice ride I know how to take care of it! Keep up the great work!
i am definitely not new to detailing, using Meguiars and lots of other stuff - but these series are amazing and hands down my go-to videos for my friends who's into car-caring. keep going, amazing content!
Thumbs up from Germany! I learnt such a lot from this series in the past few weeks...I have been using Meguiar's products in the 90s and early 2000s and I have just begun to put some more time into care care and detailing again. I was quite confused by the many different products on the market but the Meguiar's UK videos and also the short tutorials by Meguiar's Germany brought back my confidence that I chose the right brand. Thanks so much!
I prefer to hand wax. I also have used the meguairs ultimate compound/wax combo and topped it with beadmaker. It was a great set up for a super slick and glossy finish.
A comparison test with the Mirror Bright Polishing Wax, Gold Class Carnauba Plus and NXT et al would be an interesting video. See what the differences are in terms of end results, water behaviour and durability.
I clean my car every week, I also have a few cars I look after for others. I’ve still enjoyed watching the videos. I don’t have Meguiars stuff but I’d like to try a few so it was good to watch to see how they performed. Will be good to see more if you carry on with it.
Can you still get the NxT wax? I remember when that first came out. The campaign they had here in the states. I realized the other day I haven't seen it in stores for a long time now. I just use gold class paste.
I've got a Ford Focus ST in stealth grey, which is factory colour & Soild paint. Which wax would you recommend and why. I like to apply by hand by the way.
These video's have been invaluable. Ultimate Car Wax is really great but ive never buffed and polished before using it and didnt know there was a liquid. Im sold.
I've really enjoyed this series of videos - thank you!! I've done a fair amount of car-care over the years, and whilst, as stated, some of it will be known to those that aren't just starting out, I've still gained a good few tips (hash-tag polishing for example!) which are now part of my routine.... keep up the great work guys!!! :)
My liquid Turtle Wax went white when dried. Whole car looked like it has been plastered. Had a hard time wiping it all off, while pushing on tower really hard. P.S. I did put a lot on. Why is that chaps ?
Absolutely! Just make sure you're using a soft/finishing pad designed for wax/sealant applications. Also, if you're using a DA polisher, you want to make sure it's on the lowest speed.
Hi Lads! Just bought a new Dodge Challenger in Hellraisin (purple) and was wondering which paste wax you'd recommend for the colour. Thanks - appreciate your insight!
It really wasn't weird of him to confirm that the pad came with the wax. Anyone that hasn't used your products before would not have know that. What was weird, was your reaction towards him.
what's is the diff between Meguiar's Mirror Bright Polishing Paste Wax Cream and Meguiar's G18211 Ultimate Paste Wax? which give a deeper and highest clarity gloss.
So I opted to get the liquid ultimate wax, I noticed it has a hand applicator in the box. How much do I need to apply to the hand applicator to do the whole front end?
After you have applied a good base layer of protection, spray wax's are great to maintain protection and prolong the life and need to apply another coating of protection.
That really depends on the type of protection you're looking for. Ideally, if you're going to clay bar your vehicle, you would want to follow it up with a compound/polish and then wax the vehicle. If your paint is in great condition and little to no settlement build up exist, it is not necessary to clay bar before applying wax.
It is best to use the waterless wax after you already have a good protection coat. It is designed to be used as a maintainer in between wax applications.
You used ultimate Quick detailer after you finished can you also use Ultimate Quick Wax ? Its just to clean right and the more wax the more protection right ?
Would it be best to apply the Fast Finish paint sealant first, then the Ultimate Liquid Wax? And where does the new Hybrid Ceramic Wax fit into the overall process? Maintenance purposes? Or is this the ultimate Ultimate sealant/wax application? Great vids by the way! Love watching these.
Thanks for the videos, I do enjoy these and "The Day in the Bay" stuff. I do have a question, why don't you panel wipe after polishing? Surely the wax won't bond to the polishing oils?
A duel action polisher isn't designed to remove wax, all of the Meguiar's paste waxes with a thin coat applied to the surface should be easy to remove with a microfibre towel. The main benefit for having a DA Polisher is defect removal.
Hey guys, i live in Germany and i have to say, that our German products are nothing in comparison to Meguairs products👌 And also i have to say that the ultimate paste wax is the best wax i ever used. Thank you for your produckts🤝
Great video guys, some great tips and tricks! I would say that having the guy with beard in the video whilst he's just constantly on his phone is a bit of a let down though - he just seems disinterested and it detracts from the advice you're giving - just sayin' But keep up the good work!
Yes, in fact, it is not ideal to apply a ceramic coat after you have applied a wax. You can add a wax after you have done the ceramic coating, however, the ceramic coating offers a better protection that wax would.
Spray wax should not be applied to a waxed vehicle on the same day. However, if a week has gone by and maybe it rained or weather conditions were not favorable, a spray wax can be added after a wash to MAINTAIN the protection of the wax.
You can toss them in the washer.. Machine wash on cold. They can be tossed in the dryer with no heat or lowest heat setting, but air drying is the recommend.

I had only my right ear piece in and thought, how could they release a vid w no sound ? 😂
Cheers guys. Finished my first major detail thanks to these vids and great products.

The ultimate paste wax, wow really fantastic gloss
Really enjoying these videos! Giving me so much more confidence to detail my own car! Thanks for the help guys!!
Awesome stuff!
my right ear wants to hear too
Pixel dont flip it to landscape or dont do a fullscreen. I just discovered it right now
I mean its the same thing but it is louder
Mine too, but ear infections took that way at about 4yrs old
I could watch you guys do this for hours!
Please don’t end the series please do an interior one
It's on its way!

Great video. Mr. Miyagi couldn't have explained it better.

You CAN apply a paste wax via machine, people have been doing so for decades.
How?
May I know the solution used in the final stage while wiping off the wax?
I really like your videos. They are very helpful, but what is the red pad did he use all the maroon pad that he use?
My left ear subbed this.
Mahalo!!!😁🤙🏼🤙🏼
Love the insight!! And it’s very motivating!! Going out to buy those products now!!
9:59 😂 “Don’t there’s no need”
I’m always terrified there’s a pebble.

This was the video I was waiting for ! U did not mention about quick spray waxes ! Also how much time does they both last !
Quik waxes are generally a top up of your previous wax. Usually lasting around 2 weeks.
I've really enjoyed this series of videos - thank you!! P.S. I did put a lot on.
Why is that chaps ?
Sounds like you put way too much on, if you put it on thick it won't cure properly and be an arse to take off. Don't worry we've all been there lol
Only just noticed the dent by the bmw badge
First time I've seen this video and I noticed it straight away!
Can I use the was paste on buffer machine instead on hand?
Absolutely! Just make sure you're using a soft/finishing pad designed for wax/sealant applications. Also, if you're using a DA polisher, you want to make sure it's on the lowest speed.
Any specific preference for white pearl paint?
Hi Lads! Just bought a new Dodge Challenger in Hellraisin (purple) and was wondering which paste wax you'd recommend for the colour. Thanks - appreciate your insight!
Instead of using Ultimate wax could I use Hybrid Ceramic Wax instead? I have the Ultimate Compound and Polish.
Is wax applied via a dual action once it’s been compounded?
Do you have to leave the next gen 2.0 paste wax to cure.??? Could you do a vid on that wax please?
Out door pics?
Awesome video,i do my car by hand, something else ive learned from your channel and how to save polish.
You want 3 things from a wax:
Shine
Ease of use
Durability
All waxes that I have used are a compromise.
Nice one guys. Subscribed. 😁
Noob Question. How often we need to wax our car per month?
You could wax it every day if you'd like. It all depends on you and how much you drive it and where.
How do you get rid of mildew stains on white vehicle before waxing?
Brilliant
I'm in a wheelchair and my frame is powder coated what's the best thing to use to bring back the shine? The colour is Purple/Pink
Ultimate Paste Wax
End of the line? What about nano protection or similar solutions for 1 - 3 years protection or even more?
How long did it take you to do from start to finish? From wheels to wax?
It really wasn't weird of him to confirm that the pad came with the wax. Anyone that hasn't used your products before would not have know that.
What was weird, was your reaction towards him.
I didn't know Eddie Hall worked at Meguiar's
Great series of videos!
How long does ultimate wax last?
It depends on how much the car gets used. We see it lasting up to 12-14 weeks on a well looked after car.
@@meguiarsuk with respect - that's a total contradiction of terms. Think about what you wrote.
Hi there is there a difference in the meguiars pro 15 an the mt 320 professional i cen afford the pro 15 only
what's is the diff between Meguiar's Mirror Bright Polishing Paste Wax Cream and Meguiar's G18211 Ultimate Paste Wax?
which give a deeper and highest clarity gloss.
The Ultimate paste wax is one of our flagship waxes. It gives the most gloss and great length of protection.
Has anyone tried the ceramic wax on the soft foam pad on the da polisher?
New to detailing, great vid as well as the previous series from compound up. Earned a sub from the US
so never done any of this before been told you cant wax anything plastic like bumpers etc is this true car in question is a bmw e46 330ci in black?
If they are painted bumpers then yes you can. If they are exposed plastic then I'd suggest the ultimate black
What’s best way to wash the finishing towels?
Washing machine no detergent.
awesome
So I opted to get the liquid ultimate wax, I noticed it has a hand applicator in the box. How much do I need to apply to the hand applicator to do the whole front end?
so on an average sized car we suggest a pound coin size will do half a bonnet.
After you’ve waxed it then the next time you wash it do you still need to use the usual products you use as I use the ceramic wax spray?
After you have applied a good base layer of protection, spray wax's are great to maintain protection and prolong the life and need to apply another coating of protection.
Which is the most premium car shampoo, the gold class or ultimate one?
the most advanced is Ultimate as it contains dispersed wax within the shampoo.
Just a question when waxing is it always necessary to clay bar just unsure if give it a really good was then apply wax ??
That really depends on the type of protection you're looking for. Ideally, if you're going to clay bar your vehicle, you would want to follow it up with a compound/polish and then wax the vehicle. If your paint is in great condition and little to no settlement build up exist, it is not necessary to clay bar before applying wax.
Can the waterless wax be used for just a wax aswell? I know dumb question
It is best to use the waterless wax after you already have a good protection coat. It is designed to be used as a maintainer in between wax applications.
why did u apply a paste wax by hand then straight after use a liquid wax ?
lambbosbread I think just showing that it’s okay to use both. You don’t have to use both at a time.
What we use if the colour is White????
If you’ve waxed with gold class carnuba can you finish with the ceramic wax instead of the ultimate Detailer ?
Absolutely! As the car would already be waxed you would simply spray on and rinse off.
is Ultimate a "cleaner wax"?
You used ultimate Quick detailer after you finished can you also use Ultimate Quick Wax ? Its just to clean right and the more wax the more protection right ?
You can use the Ultimate Quick wax, but it's designed as a maintainer. The layer of protection it will provide on a freshly waxed surface is minimal.
audio is coming out of the left ear only for most parts
Apologies we had an audio issue during the edit.
That finish is very good considering that beemer had more blemishes than Ron Jeremy’s ar5e before hand 👍🏻
Patrick looks like Claire balding from channel 4 horse racing 😁
Would it be best to apply the Fast Finish paint sealant first, then the Ultimate Liquid Wax?
And where does the new Hybrid Ceramic Wax fit into the overall process? Maintenance purposes? Or is this the ultimate Ultimate sealant/wax application?
Great vids by the way! Love watching these.
I'm curious as well
Can I wax on a coating car? Btw nice video
Best video ever from the USA. Thanks
Thanks for the videos, I do enjoy these and "The Day in the Bay" stuff.
I do have a question, why don't you panel wipe after polishing?
Surely the wax won't bond to the polishing oils?
Hu um5reedp
Do yo do multiple coats of wax?
Only one thin layer of wax.
What time need let to cure the paste wax?
Is it safe for a recently painted car?
Yes perfectly safe and encouraged to protect paint and maintain shine.
Hi, is possible to buff a paste wax with a dual action polisher? Some waxes are an absolute nightmare one they've hazed. Cheers

Have you tried Wolfgang products, I think they're German and are supposed to be pretty good, they have the price tag to suggest as much.
Anywhere in the uk you can get d302?
What about 3 in 1 wax?
Liquid wax by hand?
do you have to use a ipa after compounding when applying a wax or sealant
You don't have to no. You can go from wiping off the compound with a microfibre towel straight into polishing or waxing.
Ok Newbies heres the ProTip: there are NO shortcuts, Work Hard!

Yes, in fact, it is not ideal to apply a ceramic coat after you have applied a wax. You can add a wax after you have done the ceramic coating, however, the ceramic coating offers a better protection that wax would.
Love your videos on detailing for beginners, how do I get a hold of Dale regarding the right products for my car?
The sounds gets horrible when i flip it to landscape.
If I apply a spray wax over a paste wax will it make it any more protected or am I just wasting product?
Spray wax should not be applied to a waxed vehicle on the same day. However, if a week has gone by and maybe it rained or weather conditions were not favorable, a spray wax can be added after a wash to MAINTAIN the protection of the wax.
Could you also use the ceramic spray after the wax for extra protection or would that be overkill?
You could however it would just mean rinsing the car off after getting it clean.
Hi there can you clean your miro fiber clothes an pads if so how
You can toss them in the washer.. Machine wash on cold. They can be tossed in the dryer with no heat or lowest heat setting, but air drying is the recommend.
What about coating?
Headphones on. Talking in my left ear. Music in my right ear. Too irritating to watch through..
The dent in the bonnet is really annoying. Decent choice of car though!
What wax is best for metallic silver? The ultimate paste or carnauba gold class etc? Cheers
Ultimate paste wax would be best! Because it's fully synthetic it brings out the metallic flake in the paint.
