      My go-to sealant is Optimum Opti-Seal. Duragloss 111, and Jescar UltraLock Plus are also on the shelf.
      I use and offer Optimum Gloss Coat for my coating option. It's very durable, easy to apply, and I don't need to throw away any applicators or towels. I'm still using the same applicator that came with my first syringe of Gloss Coat in 2017!

      Oh, and I still keep Meguiar's M20 Polymer Sealant, M21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0, and Ultimate Liquid Wax on hand. I started off using Meguiar's in the mid 90's, and I'll always have their products on hand, even though I favor others.

    I’m an O’l school polish and wax guy! I just like the fact they’re easy to maintain and remove. A new product by Kamikaze, their Anti-aging cleanser 5.0 is a godsend. It removes old sealants and waxes with little or no effort saving me a significant amount of time when detailing my car.

      Thanks for the info on the new Kamikaze product. I’ve been doing paint correction on my cars for several years and the biggest problem I’ve had is finding a product that will strip the sealant off the car before polishing. Most of the stuff advertised to do this is plain junk. Chemical Guys Clean Slate…doesn’t work. Adams strip wash….doesn’t work. I use Wolfgang sealant and can routinely get well over a year out of it. Disclaimer…I put about 9,000 miles a year on my car and it’s garage kept and we’ll maintained so the sealants really last. I bought a bottle of Poorboys and was going to try that next. Again, thanks for the info.

      @gregsullivan7408 Рік тому

      @@stevenbyron9816is it really a big problem to simply polish with the sealant still on? My thinking is that the amount of sealant on the surface is so tiny, that the polishing would quickly remove it, and the surface would still be corrected successfully. But I'm not talking from experience.

    My go-to is Optimum Opti-Seal. A lot of the reason was the head to head with Wolfgang you presented. I was flabbergasted that Opti-Seal hung on till the end. With it's ease of use, cost per use, and the fact that Im mostly using Optimum. It solidified my decision.

    I would argue that statement that wax is dead for me it’s pride in ownership I do mine just about monthly I have it down to where it takes me about an hour, first and make sure the paint is clean using N 914, because I’ve noticed if I use a polymer-based cleaner for some reason turtle wax to the max graphene wax doesn’t attach itself quite well for some odd reason with ONR….. at least on my paint which is Subaru paint… I start from one end and work my way around the car to the other side including the roof and by that time I come back and take the wax off, One of these days I need to try a resin based coating, everybody at the winery asked me about ceramic coatings and I explain to them the pros and cons and then when they asked me what I use which is still wax their perplexed they seem to think that ceramic coatings is this miracle do all, and to summon certain extent it is I would argue that good old wax still has the best prevention against water spotting, but I think the chemistry has changed with that situation.

    Very nice video as always, im a huge fan! Unfortunately Meguiar's is a dying breed here in Europe, once a quality standard, now barely even present on the shelves, their price is also eye-watering, you said 19 bucks for this bottle, here it costs about 50 bucks, no one is buying it from my detail crazed friends, no one is even mentioning it, sad but thats the reality. Late reply, but why not just charge extra for it instead if asking for a tip. If the customer prefers it they should be willing to pay for it. Practically the entire cost of a detail is labor anyway. Paint correction in particular is expensive simply because it takes a long time.
