Not an older guy. I don't really have any classic cars at the moment. Keeping up with the facebook groups, all the heavy hitter's videos, etc. But this is so nice. Wax. A joy of detailing. I get so tired of all the coating stuff that's taken over. Very cool.
Regarding the 24 hour/day before theory is imho the wax has that amount of time to really set up and enrich the paint and finish. I always find the next day is when the paint really pops. Carnuba is not dead. Great vid thx!
I have knee and leg issues and my wife asked me why I wax and polish my car so much if it hurts to walk. I showed her your part where you say men like to wax their car because they enjoy waxing and there’s a certain therapeutic aspect to it. That’s exactly what I’ve been telling her, verbatim. Btw, what a beautiful stable FFF has there. Props to you for them letting you wax their car. You really answered a lot of questions about waxing. Thanks for the Excellent video!
I also am a huge fan of waxes and have my own collection of Mitchell and King waxes manufactured by hand here in Scotland. I have been told that at least three cars involved in the celebration of cars culminating at Pebble Beach have Mitchell & King waxes applied to them. I am in good company then having our 3 car family all prepared with their own M & K waxes. Why would anyone Ceramic coat a car and take away the pleasure of waxing for up to 5 years. Another easy watch and very informative also. Thanks

My ideology is wax is for show cars, and durable protection is for daily drivers. You don’t need the crazy self cleaning or durability for a garage queen. But you sure need a real coating for a daily driver outside in the elements 24/7
Great video. Straight forward. I recently purchased some Polish Angel Master Sealant and Rapid Waxx from Esoteric. Waiting for that perfect day, weather wise, to get out there. Thanks again!
3:48 Yup, that is what I did, I got a "Meguiar's Cleaner Wax" and I thought it also "cleans" my contaminated paint, big mistake, it took all the abrasive impurities and made scratches on the paint. I will try cleaning it with clay first. 5:00 OK, can't do that eider ?! 😅
Hello Todd how are you?? Excellent videos as always!! Questions please .How about the brands that sells their own pre wax cleaner? They say after prewax cleanser used remove with microfiber an immediately apply directly the wax, isn’t this prewax cleaner already covering the pores of the paint an making the wax maybe not to bond correctly to the paint? Because as my understanding mostly all prewax cleaners help to remove contaminants old waxes and other have abrasives others don’t and then they tell you to apply the wax immediately 🧐What are you thoughts about this? Or maybe after the pre wax use an ipa solution and then apply the wax?? Thanks in advance for your reply. Have a good day.
As long as the surface is prepped, I don't see it as a necessity. When companies were really pushing this, we didn't have common decon products like Gyeon Iron or Prep so a pre-wax cleaner was the only real process available. Thank you!
Should I stick away from the wash and wax all in one mix solutions and instead make sure I have my car completely drie before applying wax and seperate the processes?
Hi, I have a brand new 2023 Toyota RAV4 hybrid in your estimation. Could you please tell me what is one of the better waxes to use that is not too costly I am on a budget but I would really like to know please respond back thank you.
Try Zaino and skip the natural waxes . Grab a glossometer and see if I'm right that nothing outshines Zaino products . For top show car results , try a coat of Z-2 , a coat of Z-6, another coat of Z-2 and right before a car show a coat of Grand Finale .
Hello, can i ask a question? I want to put sealant on my car before winter for protection about 6 months(fusso coat) and after winter i want to put carnauba wax to my car for less protection but better gloss. And me question is, if i have after winter still some sealant on paint, can i just wash car, decon and put carnauba wax on it? Sorry for english, i am from Slovakia.
Exactly how do you..."get with the manufacturer" other than instructions on the wax container? Those guys are not going to respond to Joe the customer. $500 for a can of wax. Obviously, this is a video for the rich and famous and your products are way out of my league. I'm outta here.
Thank you for posting a video about wax. Great information for all!
Thanks, Max!
I think it is pretty safe to say no one would let this guy detail this car unless he knew what he was doing. Awesome stuff !

Love the traditional wax process! No one does it like you Todd! 👍🏼
Thank you Michael!
The dude is so calm standing next to Bugatti lol love your content
Thank you. It's odd to say, but we do get a bit desensitized with the high end cars since we're around them all of the time.
@@Esotericdetail you are living basically detailers dream
That collection is incredible
Indeed it is!
Thank you for making it simple Todd
I always watch your videos right through and never skip forward
Ever!
Thanks for watching, Lewis!

Gull Wing is hands-down the sweetest, best-looking cars ever created...ever.
Hard to argue that statement!
@@Esotericdetail I drive a gorgeous Benz, and have no “dream car,” except this one... in that same color 😎.
What an amazing car, I had to rewatch the first minute because I didn't listen to a word just stare 😂
Terrific video as always. Such a great channel.
Thank you as always, Jay!
@@Esotericdetail You're very welcome. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
1:50, literally laughed out loud!!!
Would've liked to see how you waxed around the badges and emblems.

Great video Todd! We are huge wax fans as you know, thanks again!
the most beautiful car ever made 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Great video l learned a lot I have a black Lexus 430 Can't wait to order the wax

Do it in the garage if you possibly can.
@@lead-dog absolutely. Luckily, my garage is big enough to move around and do the job properly
That Merc is beautiful 😯
Beautiful 300 sl!!
Pretty sweet seeing the GT350 next to the Bugatti in the back there
Yeah, diverse collection indeed.
Todd Sir... You are best.. Love you... From Deepak Saini
Thank you!
Anytime a guy that has access to wax a million dollar 300 SL like that gives you a tutorial on waxing....you listen. Thanks!
Thank you! :)
You’re right .. that’s not just a car , that is THEE car 😮
Todd how satisfying is it waxing a car
Does waxing prevents car from rust
PolishAngel No1 wax
I think THANK YOU was what they were supposed to say.

Thank you, I was about to clay my older Mercedes classic before waxing, but now I won't
1:46 - this guy knows
Thanks
I don’t have polishing machine but on the car are many tree resin. So shall i use before the wax iron remover + clay bar or not.
Great video! I'm not sure if it was mentioned in the video...but what year is the silver Volkswagen?

Regular basis;
1. Wash with Bath+,
2. Maschine Polish (Rupes Corsa+Fine),
3. Gyeon Prep and
4. Wax.
Would this order be okay?
Yes but just use regular Bathe not bathe+. Bathe+ will leave a bit of ceramic protection behind which you don’t want on your polishing pad
Wax even several thousand dollars?!Never knew it !😳
waxing smells very nice. it is like using downy sheets when drying your clothes.
Should I stick away from the wash and wax all in one mix solutions and instead make sure I have my car completely drie before applying wax and seperate the processes?
Would not claying mess with the longevity of the wax?
The Bugatti in the background is gorgeous, but the Mercedes is incredible and timeless who wouldn’t want this car.
Todd, what do we do with that applicator when we're finished?
Wash it out by hand using some type of APC to help break down the wax.
@@Esotericdetail thanks

Proper machine polishing will make a far bigger difference than any product sitting on top.
not everyone own a Paganini but it's all good
... what rock have you guys been under?
Repeat after me... graphene ceramic
What about Zymol, is that a good wax?
It's been a while since I have used any of theirs, but the stuff I did use was good.
You bear quite a striking resemblance and sound to Bill Murray. ! Seriously
How many small red pads are recommended?
It’s a shame you don’t show us what it’s like on a 10 year old car but it seems to me that the cars you do are showroom cars
Got really fed up with the adds otherwise a great video
Is wax or ceramic coating better for quality?
How do you define quality?

The more expensive the wax doesn’t lead to more durability in a hot climate. It’s gone in a week
Then you would be better off with a coating in that climate...
