+Shane Parish Well, Curse of Rafaam is a good card against a mirror aggro matchup considering you both want to drop your hand as quickly as possible. The only problem one has to solve is to figure out what one-drops to play so... possibly could work quite well in a hob-goblin deck running wisps/murloc tidefins?
+Sawed Off Laser That curse of rafaam deck had a fighting chance but he didn't attack the abusive sergeant at the end. People need to do half measures more often.
Of course. This whole time, all Blizzard had to do to make Shaman good was take the most broken aggressive 1-drop currently in the game, which belongs to Mage, one of the classes with the most burn, and give Thrall a copypastaed version to compliment the fact that he also has insane amounts of burn. It's like playing against cancer mage, but with even more burn and earlier lethals.
+Adam Lee They or those people who use leper gnome mage with tons of burst quite effective when you can do 11 damage on turn 4 with no minions on the board.
Adam Lee Back when tempo mage was really big. Turn 1 mana wyrm into unstable portals, removal, mirrors, etc with flamewakers, mad scientists, and sorc apprentices as well. and then you kill them with your 6/3 mana wyrm
+Giraffasaur Faramir was born more than 40 years after the Battle of the Five Armies... Not even his mother was born during the events of The Hobbit. I doubt we are talking about the same Faramir here.
+Rock Golem Well... that is a first. I don't think I have EVER heard someone calling Viconia "coolest drow ever" (I assume you mean her?) More like... "that psycopath who hated everyone and everyone hated her". Although Minsc was not known for making a lot of friends either (he focused more on... rectifying situations by the application of a huge sword) so... yeah, maybe they were really good friends and they didn't get many interactions together in game to mascarade their hidden friendship. :p Baldur's Gate, the game that after more than a decade, still is able to make me create silly fan-fiction about it in my head. xD
Curse of Rafaam is used in this aggro deck to screw up your opponents curve. If you are prone to swipe, you play this card to make him either take 4 damage, or not swipe. 4 damage to face is good in that deck
+SacredxDynasty One big thing a lot of people miss is the efficacy of Curse of Rafaam against Freeze Mage. The damage happens on their turn, so it doesn't proc Ice Block. Although there are nowhere near enough Freeze Mages around for this to be really important.
+Parhy Lolzilla afflication lock is in wow warlocks class specialation in spreading ebola in every mob and slowly killing them off by pressing one button over and over again
+JasonBFleece Aggro is scummy but atleast they play minions to interact with. Control is the real dirt bag deck. No interactions and slow games to boot.
+insomnyuk I agree kinda. Aggro is the best hearthstone has.. but if blizzard tried.. they could easily make interactive decks that also punished otk and fast control. People used to think zoo was cancer.. i dont get it.. it was a board control interactive deck that didnt use any dirty tricks. the perfect fun opponent win or lose.
just as a quick play tip with this deck I have found that when you have coin and have a 1 drop and a totem golem in hand you should coin the totem golem turn 1 play the 1 drop on turn 2 it allows you to contest almost any 2 drop and gives you a means to help your 1 drop survive for further damage. give it a try see what you think but it is priceless against druids.
+Seth Eaglehouse The Legend player pool is so small that if another person wins a separate match and increases his rank (I guess you could really say lower legend number) it can cause his rank to drop accordingly.
***** It does not have to be unique, we simply note that the outcome isnt normal and shows evidence that something isnt adding up, meaning we are missing details or blizzard messed up.
its so sad to see face shaman with hunter hero power. Its like it perfectly represents the failure of blizzard balance department. You have a class with cards like hex, fire elemental, neptulon, fireguard destroyer, that is reduced to a brainless face cancer. I thought that they were going in the right direction with thunder bluff valiant, but what a shame, we have a shaman that is higher win rate without totems.
After watching videos of people piloting, and me frequently playing against, Aggro Shaman, it really has me wondering what the future of Hearthstone really holds. I can't speak for everyone's personal playstyle preference, but are games that end on turn 4 or 5 really even worth playing? What is truly mind-boggling is that Blizz can't seem to figure the early game out, nor figure out counters to said early game's broken nature. It is sad when both in power-level and stat-wise that 1-2 drops are leagues ahead of high-mana cards. One would think that it would be the other way around as the player has to survive long enough to get to use them, thus rewarding intelligent, efficient play. Most of the more expensive cards other than Boom/Loatheb have a drawback in stats to make up for powerful effects (i.e. Sylvanas/Thaurussan being a 5/5 for 6, Alextraza being an 8/8 for 9, etc..), yet with even one mana cards, their low-mana stat budgets are through the roof. Even cards like Leper Gnome are completely broken statwise for what they do (almost certainly 4 dmg minimum to every class except Mage for one mana). Knife Juggler is another prime example of a low-cost minion with an extremely powerful ability that is WAY overstat'ed towards aggression. Both of these cards should have no more than 1 attack due to their strong effects. When you get into cards like Mana Wyrm and Tunnel Trogg, both one drops mind you, we are talking about possibly the strongest statlines in the entire game coupled with powerful reoccurring effects. Undertaker was a one drop that completely ruined the meta for a long time, so Blizz can't claim that they haven't learned their lesson. We have heard repeatedly that Blizz wants board interaction and strategic games, yet they release stupidly broken low-mana cards again and again (Tunnel Trogg, Flamewaker, Mechwarper just to name a few), while making healing incredibly inefficient and a severe loss of tempo, and we receive virtually no defensive-type cards. We get a new Taunt every once in a while, yet even the biggest Taunt in the game is completely at the mercy of a 2 mana card or silence spell, thus all but neutering them for their intended purpose. Where is our Taunt that is immune to Silence (would have to be immune to buffs as well so it could not be buffed out of control, which is a fair compromise), or multi-class Armorsmith that can at least help in dmg mitigation whilst fighting for the board versus hyper-aggro. Reno was supposed to be the answer to swing things back, but his decks require inconsistency, and really, it just steered aggro players to be even faster. Whenever I play a Reno deck and face a Hunter or Shaman, I automatically keep Reno in my opening hand and even then I am often dead before I can play him unless I can somehow hold on past the mindless face rush. Are we ever going to get a card that takes away from the power of spells (not just Loatheb but perhaps a card that halves all spell dmg while it is on the board), or one that prevents Charge? You know, cards that require board interaction before the opponent can just burn you. Such cards would also be very handy for toning down Druid combo shenanigans, and make Freeze Mage actually have to use a single-target spell or two on something other than your face in the end-game, and even protect you from a Grom finisher (so I am not just talking about hampering aggro only here). How about a minion that while in play halves all dmg a weapon-using class takes when swinging with said weapon, or a minion with a non-conditional recurring heal? Cards such as these would require attention from the opponent most of time, lending itself to that whole board interaction thing. I don't want every game to go into fatigue, but at the same time, it would be far more pleasant to not be constantly clinging to life by round five and being dead because you missed your one and two drop because of a rough mulligan.
Let me see if I understood this correctly. He won the game at 22:00 and actually decreased in ranks? Or is it the farther you are from number 1 the better?
+Joshua Rafanan I can't stand freeze mage, because in some matches, mage just has to draw well. I had a board with lethal on it for 5 turns, and got frozen 4 turns and murdered by flamestrike on the 5th. Then it was a simple fireball frostboltx2 ice lancex2 ping from there.
yeah, I had a game as a force savage druid against a reno freeze mage, and I raven idoled for a tree of life. Used it after most of his burst and still almost lost.
Great card design Blizzard. Next up just give Shaman Huffer and Priest a combo activator for Shadowform, and this game will be nothing but unrelenting cancer.
+Fieser Slasher Something that fits the cancer-aggro style of this deck, ie Knife Juggler, Flametongue, Wolfrider etc... not too sure as I haven't really played much of this deck myself though.
+Fieser Slasher You can put in another earthshock to deal with taunts. Or something facehunt would do. But why would you want to tho? Mrrrglton gives you actually useful hero power in 90% of cases. 4 hero powers are a lot more useful than shams, and 4 are not that preferable. There is little chance that you will be screwed by this murloc. 95% times Mrrrglton delivers.
+L0LWTF1337 A few reasons; A) If you're racing against another aggro, and they have the board B) I your opponent has a lot of taunts out C) Small bonus for lethal with leper gnomes on board
Elemental destruction seems completely pointless in this deck. You spend the first few turns dealing damage to the face with minions and then spend the next usually 2/3 turns killing them with burn so what purpose does the destruction actually play? It's useless vs other agro because they will be in a similar position as you and vs a midrange or control deck they will be spending the early turns killing your early game minions. It's extremely unlikely that they will be able to kill you in 2/3 turns as their minions are often slower that yours and so just seems like the two destructions are taking up 2 slots that could be burn instead
+Yotam Shitrit Shit goes real bad. Face Shaman is in a uniquely advantageous spot because shamans can do absurd amounts of face damage thanks to the overload mechanic. You wipe the board with destruction late game then cast crackle twice next turn to win the game. Also in extreme cases it activates your leper gnomes. It's also a great card against the mirror when they get a better start than you.
+Yotam Shitrit This deck usually deals about half the damage with the early minions, and then those get cleared, and you deal the rest of the damage with spells. The problem is, when your minions are all dead, and you have totally lost control of the board, then you need something to make sure you will have 1 or 2 extra turns to draw the spells you need to finish the game. Elemental destruction makes sure that the board gets reset, and esentially buys you those 1 or 2 turns. Or that's the theory, at least.
+Yotam Shitrit because if he plays against a mage he can live the dream with spellsliger into unstable portal into argent protector on trog then use elemental destruction and gain 5 attack on trog with the overload obviously
It's a shame to see such a wonderful and neat class like shaman just get simmered down to a fucking face deck on ladder. I guess that's all the meta is now though. Will the meta ever slow down? Who knows? It probably won't.
Why does all of the Warlock decks end in "Lock" instead of being called things like "Hand Warlock" or "Affliction Warlock" or "Reno Warlock" ? I understand Handlock because it fits in pretty well but come on.
Novron Conventionalizing the term in such a way just sounds funny to me. Locking hands together! Locking your hand's fingers to summon the FIST OF JARRAXUS- I have no idea where I'm going with this.
+Surprise !! Language Evolution explains this to you in a way some guy off the internet can't. look up how Language evolves. "languages evolve everyday by simplifying what is too complicated and complicating what is too simple" Hand Warlock is 1 syllable longer than it needs to be. so language evolution dictates that the extra syllable be removed for the convenience of the majority.
It feels wrong seeing Trump playing aggro...
Feels wrong seeing Elemental Destruction in aggro
+TheWip9 My brain is like, Trump would definitely trade for that!! Then he SMOrcs...
+TheWip9 Well, there's Kolento's version of this deck, wich cuts the Leper Gnomes and Horseriders and end up being a "Freeze Mage-like" deck
How did this happen.
+Mooniara weren't expecting to see you here :D
"I am gonna prove that Curse is a bad card. Unless I loose." - Trump
Loosen what?
+Christian H. (Krmel) Flawless logic.
Trump, for Christmas, you're getting a truckload of coal for playing that deck.
+PetersaberHD atleast he will be warm, house heating is so expensive these days.
+PetersaberHD Sounds like you already got a truckload of salt, amirite?
Mr Knut
nah, I had the Christmas miracle of not facing that deck yet
+Erik Bruijn The value!
+Seio0987 value op op
Sooo jens, when is your showcase match between you and trump gonna be posted
yeah...........
+king bromigoman I still want to see the Warrior IDraft. Its final match was glorious and should be preserved for future generations.
Does jens even exist or is he/she just trumps imaginary friend that "edits his videos"
Was I the only one who really wanted the Curse Warlock to win?
+Sawed Off Laser I wanted another Demon fuse "not like this" moment
+Shane Parish
Well, Curse of Rafaam is a good card against a mirror aggro matchup considering you both want to drop your hand as quickly as possible.

Trump is playing so dirty...that bluff at 18:40
+Chillaxorita Not to mention print Sir Finley to give him a useful Hero Power. Who's up for a SMOrc Venture
+Chillaxorita What it's a cancer mage? As far as I know there's three kinds of mage in the current meta, and none of them are very "cancerous".
+Adam Lee I personally find mech mage to be highly cancerous
+Adam Lee They or those people who use leper gnome mage with tons of burst quite effective when you can do 11 damage on turn 4 with no minions on the board.
Adam Lee
Back when tempo mage was really big. Turn 1 mana wyrm into unstable portals, removal, mirrors, etc with flamewakers, mad scientists, and sorc apprentices as well. and then you kill them with your 6/3 mana wyrm
Leonardo beats trump in hearthstone still no oscar
This deck is faaaaaast! This may be the most matches I've ever seen in a single Trump vid.
Faramir became a level 30 Paladin? So this was recorded during the events of The Hobbit?
+Giraffasaur

Curse of Rafaam is used in this aggro deck to screw up your opponents curve. If you are prone to swipe, you play this card to make him either take 4 damage, or not swipe. 4 damage to face is good in that deck
curse of rafam is a warlock class card i think
+alfonzoxl wow what an amazing observation
+SacredxDynasty One big thing a lot of people miss is the efficacy of Curse of Rafaam against Freeze Mage. The damage happens on their turn, so it doesn't proc Ice Block. Although there are nowhere near enough Freeze Mages around for this to be really important.
+SacredxDynasty You're right, Curse of Rafaam screwed up the curve of Trump's opponent alright. What a good card!
Finally, a constructed episode
28:31 "I am the one who knocks" - Heisentrump
lol at the Reno paranoia. I feel it too whenever I play an aggro deck.
26:50 "look malek, look what i drew.. wooo! xD lol"
yay finally some shaman
cant wait for part 2 :D
so funny games! love see trump go for dat face
at 30:00 : why no face, face, elemental destruction for style points? :D
That title. GJ Jens.
"It misses on some of the value, but hitting face is more important" was the last thing I ever expected to hear from Trump.
What even is affliction lock
+Parhy Lolzilla a spec for warlocks in WOW
+Parhy Lolzilla It was a Talent spec in WoW where the Warlock would deal damage with damage over time spells (curse of rafaam).
+Parhy Lolzilla afflication lock is in wow warlocks class specialation in spreading ebola in every mob and slowly killing them off by pressing one button over and over again
We definetly need more people to tell him what affliction lock is
+Hyper Fan Taim isnt i beutiful?
It's sad that shaman has come to this. All that intereseting stuff and all that is truly viable is a dumb aggro deck

Trump is savage.
Anyone else notice trump went from 1742 to 1744 after winning at 22:00
So?
+Seth Eaglehouse The Legend player pool is so small that if another person wins a separate match and increases his rank (I guess you could really say lower legend number) it can cause his rank to drop accordingly.
+HollandandJasper he lost a legend rank from winning, he wants the number to get lower.
And that's why the proper response isnt
"So?"

You don't understand why it went up, its not unique
***** It does not have to be unique, we simply note that the outcome isnt normal and shows evidence that something isnt adding up, meaning we are missing details or blizzard messed up.

happy feast of winterveil!

does curse respond to spell damage? that could be fun with maly

can anyone suggest a cheap deck for a newbie? I want to get a higher rank than my current (rank 12)
The elements guide Trump to overload
how good is this deck? worth making for ranked?
You should watch Kolento for aggro shaman. He's much more experienced at it.
Will there be any more of him playing this deck? It sounds gross to say it but i'm kinda digging it...
19:22 paladin Malek, Protector of the Pillar of Conflict
3:44 sir Finley you so you so fine, hey Finley!
Just opened Gruul from the free pack from tavern brawl. Happy feast of Winterveil. :|
Great card design Blizzard. Next up just give Shaman Huffer and Priest a combo activator for Shadowform, and this game will be nothing but unrelenting cancer.
Damn how can you not like murgleton frase ^^ too cute
Are you going to play som Malygos Shaman in the future?
I hope Trump realized that that Curse would've killed him if his deck wasn't one that could win on turn 5.
kolento or trump shaman deck better ?
The real SMOrc
great, trump plays facehunter.
Tuck Frump for this deck... it's like playing FaceHuntard
Can I switch out the Elemental Destructions for Lightning Storms???
+pandulce No if you do that the world will end??
+Jens Petter Lund yes and it will benefit the 1 mana shaman card too as well :D
+pandulce yes and it will benefit the 1mana shaman card too
Trump was getting nervous vs the curse

It makes me so sad that trump didn't elemental destruction the last game for lethal
+Kad Leon it's worth
"oooorrrrr coin doom hammer" trump plz
Omg i just made this deck with a few variation and i actually won face hunter!
You know, Jens must be almost as good as trump in HS since he watches every single game of trump.
someone has an idea of what to put in the deck instead of mrrrglton?
+Fieser Slasher Something that fits the cancer-aggro style of this deck, ie Knife Juggler, Flametongue, Wolfrider etc... not too sure as I haven't really played much of this deck myself though.

Why is elemental destruction in an aggro deck???
Also insert Obi Wan: "You were the chosen one" joke here.
+L0LWTF1337 A few reasons;
A) If you're racing against another aggro, and they have the board
B) I your opponent has a lot of taunts out
C) Small bonus for lethal with leper gnomes on board
Look, you HAVE to make a legend Shaman deck,we are getting trashed everywhere.
Hey Jens du hast den Magier bei ~11:50 vergessen in der infobox
Also could have lethal'd at the end with ele d - 4 face damage from leper gnomes
21:58 did trump just won a Match and went from 1742 to 1744?

gosh that perfect aggro draw by him im so jealous :0 me only getting bullshit me bad orc
To be fair those Curses of Rafaam did 14 damage for 4 mana
The SMOrc is strong in this one
why did trump play elemental destruction
Who's up for a Face-venture?
Playing around Reno as aggro... what this, Trump.
"Topdeckerino" ~ Trump 2015
don't listen to the haters trump, jens. i for one love it when you play aggro decks, and not those slow, scummy, grindy control decks. >:)
Aggro decks are the scummy ones , not giving half a fuck about the board and SMORCing the hell out of your opponent. A scummy and viable strategy
Should have finished the Warlock with Elemental Destruction.
"look malek-" he concede...coincidence?
Why is Elemental Destruction in this deck?
I think he likes it over lightning storm I believe
+Yotam Shitrit Shit goes real bad. Face Shaman is in a uniquely advantageous spot because shamans can do absurd amounts of face damage thanks to the overload mechanic. +Yotam Shitrit
This deck usually deals about half the damage with the early minions, and then those get cleared, and you deal the rest of the damage with spells.
+Yotam Shitrit I'm guessing for clearing board and fun combo with Tunnel Trogg
+Yotam Shitrit because if he plays against a mage he can live the dream with spellsliger into unstable portal into argent protector on trog then use elemental destruction and gain 5 attack on trog with the overload obviously
I am the one who knocks!
Its funny how shaman became viable, he stole rxxers bow and become a hunter
poor Malek switched decks and still lost. i feel bad for him.
My friend told me he was playing face shaman and I thought he was high.........................
21:58 trump's rank goes down after winning
How is your campaign for president going.
Is this a new class?
Isn't this a reupload?
elephants guide me
deck is fucking ridiculous, games are so quick and if you arent completely useless at hs you have a good winrate with it. ranking is quick as fuck
FACE!!!
Don't really feel the elemental destruction working that well for you, it's just too rare for it to work out, and you almost always mulligan it out.
It's a shame to see such a wonderful and neat class like shaman just get simmered down to a fucking face deck on ladder. I guess that's all the meta is now though. Will the meta ever slow down? Who knows? It probably won't.

+Surprise !! Yeah, it's almost like people use abbreviations in order to speak/type faster! How strange is that?
Novron Conventionalizing the term in such a way just sounds funny to me. Locking hands together! Locking your hand's fingers to summon the FIST OF JARRAXUS- I have no idea where I'm going with this.
+Surprise !! Because in wow people have called warlocks locks for 11 years. Some things just stick around.
+Surprise !! Language Evolution explains this to you in a way some guy off the internet can't. look up how Language evolves.
"languages evolve everyday by simplifying what is too complicated and complicating what is too simple"
Hand Warlock is 1 syllable longer than it needs to be. so language evolution dictates that the extra syllable be removed for the convenience of the majority.
