I'm from Angola, Africa. Due to the time difference, MLS games here in Africa are at 00:00, 01:00 or 02:00 in the morning. Do you know what we do? We stop sleeping to watch the Inter Miami game, even though we know that at 5am or 6am we have to get up to go to work, university, etc.
I don't recall in any sports that fans go and see one sportsman try and score against their team for the honour of having witnessed that moment and going home to tell everyone about it. Even when Argentina went to Peru to play the qualification games for the next world cup, Peruvian fans had their national team shirt on but it had Messi's name on the back. Opposition fans feel happy when Messi scores against them. It's like going to a concert and waiting for the main act to sing their hits.
People talk about Messi for a multitude of reasons, but one thing is for certain: his incredible talent on the football field is undeniable. Messi has consistently proved himself as one of the greatest players of all time, breaking records and mesmerizing fans with his exceptional skills, agility, and goal-scoring abilities. Beyond his natural talent, Messi's humility, dedication, and love for the game have endeared him to millions of people around the world. Whether you are a football enthusiast or not, it is hard not to appreciate and talk about Messi's impact on the sport. His ability to take control of a game, his remarkable vision, and his ability to effortlessly dribble past defenders are just a few of the reasons why people can't stop talking about him. Messi's influence reaches far beyond the football pitch, as he has become an inspiration for aspiring athletes and a symbol of determination and perseverance. His success story, coming from a humble background in Argentina, resonates with many people and serves as a reminder that hard work and passion can lead to greatness. Messi's talent, combined with his humility and authenticity, have made him a true icon of the sport, and it's no wonder why people can't help but discuss his remarkable achievements.
Not only is Messi the biggest sporting star but also THE biggest and MOST influential individual on the planet. I assume his relevancy will continue the same until he retires. So, it is never enough Messi, we want MORE Messi, until the end of time 🐐
its just dumb to say that an athlete is the most influential individual in the planet. The most influential individuals in the planet are country leaders of usa or russia. Messi is the most influential athlete in the planet no question but its dumb to say that he is the most influential individual.
Compare the MLS highlights clips, Mess’s game highlights usually have 100x views. Look at the recent match day, 2M views for Miami game vs ~20k for the others. In a word, Messi lifts MLS to a completely new level
Ill be honest. The only reason im watching mls is because of messi mostly. Even suarez and busquets too. But mostly messi. The one thing i noticed is because of messi i came to know about robert taylor, campana,d gomez, cremaschi. Messi has that influence to make his teammates shine. But as i watch al nssr matches i still dont know who the other players are. Not hate to ronaldo. He shines. But he overshadows the team. Thats the difference between the two. One is the GOAT.
Thanks to Messi, i starting to know some of the teams he play against,i know more than i want to know about MLS. when he leaves,i also leaves. I only follow Barcelona and Messi and that's it.
❤❤❤Messi🎉🎉. Messi has been a blockbuster since he was like 17 years old. You may not yet understand the meaning of Messi for the whole sport world and certainly to the MLS. You are the luckiest people now. So it would be crazy not to talk about Messi a lot more.❤❤❤. Do you think that we would be wake like at 3 am or 5 am in the morning just to watch MLS?!! Never. But we are cause of Messi❤❤❤🎉🎉Best Regards from Finland!
You are absolutely right. I live in USA but the people of USA still don’t realize that they got the most important famous, and the greatest player of all time in their country. Wherever he goes he destroys all records.
Messi is only 36, nearly 37. He's still really young lol. Maybe for football he might be considered an experienced player but anyways, he's far from old.
the reason millions are turning into MLS is because of the GOAT. It would be nice the MLS would relax the rules and brought in other stars but until then Messi is the gravitation center of the MLS universe.
I am Argentine and I was able to see Alexi play for his national team, a great player who stood out from the average. I confirm what he explains about the importance of Messi playing in the MLS. To give an example, the number of Argentinians who now do not lose a single Inter game is impressive. We suffer a little to see such an unbalanced team, but in general we can enjoy seeing the best player in history playing his last seasons. Greetings
Too much coverage? Do you honestly think I would be watching MLS highlights if not that Messi was playing there? Do you even think I watch any other MLS club's match's highlights that does not involve Inter Miami's? Don't cover him and see how quickly I put MLS to the doldrums of football leagues at the level of the Protathlima Cyta of Cyprus!
we r lucky to see messi...he was biggest star in europe,is biggest star in Argentina..is biggest star in mls....he has to be...quality speaks of itself
Not only in the USA, but also all over the world messy is the biggest star of all sports. It’s probably new for you in USA because you guys don’t know that much about his fame but it’s not new for the rest of the world 🌎
Messi is bigger than the entire history of MLS. Nothing would happen to the world football if MLS did not exist. If Messi did not exist, world football would be incomplete.
The “Messiers “ are bigger than the Swifters…..no artists, band, athletes or anyone has sold out stadiums twice a week for 20 years consecutively and constantly…..nothing and nobody comes closer to what this man can do, not even the Beatles, Elvis or Queen…..or Star Wars, Titanic, Gone with the Wind combined……nothing sold more tickets in history like Lionel Messi, and this is something that media is not talking about……
Messi helps bring attention and relevancy to the MLS. He is by far the biggest footballer that's ever played there, and arguably the biggest foreign athlete that's ever stepped on American soil. Everyone in the US should be grateful that he's there, endorsing their league, endorsing their country. There's only good that can come out of it.

Do you think Messi is getting too much coverage?

The more Messi, the better. He’s a chance for the US to grow its soccer culture exponentially

They need to improve the teams over the next 3 years.... To keep fans after messi leaves
