Since 2020 I have been the proud owner of a limited RC model with a wide range of MV original accessories, have already driven 15,000km and also drive a DUCATI. The MV looks really great, the engine is great and delivers an amazing sound. The whole thing is really emotional, especially the hassle that was bought very expensively and the manufacturer's lack of appreciation as a paying customer...so far, I've had more than 10 warranty cases / damages / problems. Electronics errors that do not occur directly at the dealer cannot be found / solved. There is no solution for other errors, so it's best to do it yourself to have fun driving. I've had mistaken that could have led to a fall/accident, so I've been very lucky. For parts that broke as a result, I was offered a ridiculously small discount if I wanted to replace them (I would still have had to pay over €2,000). I declined this offer on principle, because it's not about the money, but about dealing with paying customers and the so-called "complaint handling". I would like to express a great deal of praise for the dealer who looks after me, who always gives his all and, in my opinion, is ultimately poorly supported by the factory and not at all by the responsible national sales management. The only thing the media was saying was that everything is fine at MV now, which I absolutely cannot confirm. 2022 next warranty case and again and again "phase error" after a cold start...can't get them under control…

Not good at all, at the end of the day we understand problems happen with bikes, but it’s how the manufacturer deals with these problems that counts.
I hope you eventually get your bike sorted properly! 👍🏻

@@ukveganbikers SCS update after about 17,000 km. It happens that the clutch does not separate and thus the motorcycle goes out. It can happen that the motorcycle simply switches off without warning when starting to drive, noticeably often after refueling (refueling = battery completely full and engine warm) and it is not possible to start off without using the clutch lever. In the workshop it is found that a lot is stored in the error memory. However, this cannot be interpreted. Since the error cannot be reproduced during the visit to the workshop and the error memory cannot be interpreted, by definition no error was found, so no guarantee claim can be made, which is why I was charged for the test drive and resetting the error memory...wow… When these errors occur, constant driving jerks appear, as with my DUCATI. This can be fixed by turning the key so the CPU restarts. After that it's fine again.

@@tonihartivery frustrating. At the very least I would say they should do the diagnostic for free!

@@ukveganbikers 20.000km update, again fail of the rear brake with zero function (is a disaster as you need it having the SCS to park the vehicle), and now additional fail of the front brake (maybe related to the ABS electronic…) and the full electronic suspension is not working, feels like riding a bouncy ball (happy not crashed as it suddenly happened at the end of a fast corner), mean the bike is at the dealer now and the dealer has no idea…

the SCS needs to be serviced every 7,500km - this very important information should be clearly communicated on the website
Is not written in the IFU and the service manual you get with the bike !!!
    Technical Bulletin 001/19
..." We also inform you that the SCS automatic clutch system requires every 7500 km the replacement of
the sleeves (Kit code 8000C6986) present on the clutch housing regardless of the annual service, in
order to always ensure a high quality driving experience.
The SCS clutch system’s setting in provided by a special screw positioned on the clutch push rod and
will be executed at each programmed service, thanks to the use of a tool specifically dedicated to this
purpose (code 8000C6941), so as to ensure at all times the correct operation of the automatic clutch. "...

I saw you are 5’10, how’s the saddle height for you?

I found I was on tip toes a lot of the time. I'd be worried about it fully loaded with a pillion, although it didn't feel top heavy.

Is it fully automatic transmission, no clutch and shift lever

    • @ukveganbikers
      @ukveganbikers  2 роки тому +2

It has a clutch and lever, all you have to do is put it in to first gear, and after that you do not need to touch the clutch lever, even when coming to a stop, unless you actually want to. It’s a great system, you get the convenience (mostly) of an automatic, with the option to ride it as a normal manual if you want.

You have to engage first gear, and after that you don’t need to touch the clutch again.

I think the brand logo of MV A and the 3 pipe exhaust is hideous butt ugly. But other than that okay.
