Did the test drive for both and I prefer the Ford for the interior, touch screen that is angled for passenger access, lay flat seats, both bottom and back massage, 7.2kw which now opens possibilities of accessing cabin in remote parts of Maine. Thanks for the timely review.
Both are very nice but it's worth pointing out a few things additionally, the Ford can power up a camper trailer or even a house during power outages and is all aluminum body wich may be a valuable asset for those who live in heavily salted road areas and snow storms such as myself, it's also available with a sport/blackout package but I must admit that 6.2 liter in the GMC is the one I would have picked if had I lived in the southern area when I made my last new truck purchase in 2022.
The GMC is lighter because it is not a hybrid with the extra electric motor and battery. You also failed to mention the 7.2KW power output in the Ford bed outlets. Just saying...
As a mechanic I can say GMC has WAY more issues and difficult to work on. Suspension wise it is difficult to gain access to replace the worn parts, no access. If they have the electronic suspension for struts and shocks prepare to pay upwards of $600.00 each! Things just seem to wear out faster on GMC products.
The Ford is heavier for three reasons - it is a PowerBoost hybrid - so the battery adds weight and the panoramic moonroof weighs a lot as well. In addition the Denali Ultimate has a composite bed structure. It always surprises me how little some “car reviewers” actually know about some of the vehicles they review.
Funny you say that, my AC in my 2022 f150 had an issue that was well known and they wouldn’t fix it because my vin wasn’t included in the fix. Much better AC in the GM
Is there a dark mode for the touchscreen in the Ford? It seems so strange that they went with the bright screen when almost everybody is going with a dark theme? Seems like it would be harsh on the eyes at night.
Interesting take, I'm the complete opposite, I actually think the slightly longer bed of the GMC makes the truck look a lot better. Better proportions in my opinion.
I keep hearing that all gmc sierra models have flat and uncomfortable seats. Anyone have any opinions about comfortability in the gmcs? I'm considering trading my 2018 ford f150 xlt 3.5 ecoboost for the gmc at4 or Denali.
I’d choose the Denali Ultimate, the interior looks more luxurious IMO, the tech is better - supercruise trumps bluecruise for long road trips, and Denali is now kind of its own luxury sub-brand so the brand recognition and prestige is stronger.
The Powerboost has that partially plastic heat exchanger on the exhaust that eventually develops a coolant leak. Huge headache for something with such little benefit.
Ford where my platinum 702A package, long bed, powerboost and FX4 package? I put my order through Ford Lincoln Dealership in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada last last November 8, 2024. Its been almost a year now. Please help me!😢
The Ford instrument knobs and buttons layout is better and makes more sense. The trailer brake on the GMC should change places withe the start/stop button. The Ford has a light switch inside the bed of the truck that is convenient and useful, GMC light switch for the bed is inside the truck.. not smart
I was going to sell or trade my 2019 F150 Platinum for a New one But I don't think so. I can NOT believe you can't get a V8 in the Platinum or King Ranch. 😢 I'm even considering the GMC
The Ford is heavier because it’s a hybrid., which is why I would prefer the twin turbo 3.5 or the coyote 5.0. Both of which have about the same amount of horsepower as the 6.2 GMC but much more torque with better mpg Also the fried has no cylinder deactivation. Both engines are far superior than the GMc engines hands down
Both gorgeous trucks but the EPA has forced manufacturers into building unreliable powertrains. GM's DFM makes the 6.2L a ticking timebomb. The diesel option isn't any better only because of the emissions control system. Ford's powerboost is currently unproven and with Ford's history with the 10 speed transmission, the 3.5L EcoBoost plus hybrid components I can't see it working out for them long term.
Don’t waste your money on GM or Ford if you’re looking for luxury. Ram absolutely dominates in interior quality, fit and finish, materials and detail. It’s not even close. If you don’t care about luxury, and care more about reliability and daily driver, buy the GM. If you’re looking for towing and more active use, grab the Ford. This comes from years of driving all 3 trucks constantly.
Ram isn’t even in the conversation totally irrelevant only trucks worth considering are the 2 in this video ram is completely irrelevant especially now after switching to I6 engines only
Anyone notice the seats on new 24 F-150’s having wrinkles or defects? I’ve noticed it on quite a few new King Ranch models. I think the leather quality and build quality is slightly better in the new GMC’s, but features and tech I’d have to give it Ford.

Definitely the Denali Ultimate for me, love the way the truck looks!
The tiny moonroof on the GMC looks like something from the 90's. The Honda Civic I drove in college had a bigger moonroof.
@@r.foster3275 not a valid criticism. One 99.99% of truck buyers don't use it and two moon roofs leak with a high failure rate
i had the king ranch that sunroof anit cheap 5k to fix.. Now i own the denali i prefer the smaller sunroof hate heat in texas..
I rather have the small sunroof, less leakage issues and damn, sun is hot on heads with little hair.
Tipping point to me is that GMC offers the 3L diesel with 30+ MPG on freeway.
Love diesels!
The people: We want a normal truck.
Manufacturers: Ok... Check out this truck for $237,516.
These are the top of the line models dude lol. Get a base model for either of these, which should be around 35k after rebates
@@Motinhox Not even worth it. Would be better off buying an AWD car...
No brainer. Ford all day long. More horsepower more torque. Better fuel econony. Looks so much better

Exactly
GM's slightly longer bed does a lot for the looks of the truck.
IMO, the Platinum Plus wins hands down, and you won't need to replace the AC, shocks and wheel bearings a month after your warranty runs dry.
Funny you say that, my AC in my 2022 f150 had an issue that was well known and they wouldn’t fix it because my vin wasn’t included in the fix. Much better AC in the GM
As much as I like the Platinum, I have to say the Denali Ultimate is really beautiful. GMC made some good calls on the interior for this.
The Denali Ultimate is beautiful, definitely the luxury truck I'd choose. GMC hit a home run with this truck forsure.
I cannot find any mention of a platinum plus on fords website.
It's pretty clearly there, under the "start your build" tab.
As always, Ben delivers a great presentation. You can get the Fender flares to match the body.
Ford far superior however the tailgate is definitely underwhelming
The GMC is a superior luxury vehicle and it's not close.
🤡
Is there a dark mode for the touchscreen in the Ford? It seems so strange that they went with the bright screen when almost everybody is going with a dark theme? Seems like it would be harsh on the eyes at night.
In daylight it’s easier to read black letters on a white background. At night the Ford switches to white letters on a black background.
@@khakiswag Ah thanks. Haven't owned one with the newer touchscreen.
It has day and night mode that changes automatically or programmed to your preferences
i want to know what truck id the faatest truck because i race on the wwil end and i win big money if i have a fast truck
I own both trucks and my gmc is more lux but my ford is more car like ride
Fords shorter bed does make it look more appealing
Interesting take, I'm the complete opposite, I actually think the slightly longer bed of the GMC makes the truck look a lot better. Better proportions in my opinion.
Definitely gotta go with the GMC Denali Ultimate
I really think king ranch would be a better comparison to the ultimate. King ranch interior is absolutely beautiful.
The interior of the Ford = classy; the interior of the GMC = sexy. Overall, my vote goes to the GMC. Just a little bit more to like about it.
Both pick up is very nice but my opinion GMC is better
Ford heavy probably because it has the powerboost the hybrid batteries
Top of the line trim f150 still doesnt include a freaking bed liner or rear fender well liners. 😅
Incorrect platinum plus (703a) wheel well liners included. Too bad bed liner isn't.

I prefer the GMC, maybe in black with a 3 inch lift and black 22inch wheels 😊😊😊.
Bring back tailgate applique for platinum.
The Powerboost has that partially plastic heat exchanger on the exhaust that eventually develops a coolant leak. Huge headache for something with such little benefit.

Ford Platinum plus

The GMC button layout looks like a CD player... Looks weird.
I like the Ford wheels better
I was going to sell or trade my 2019 F150 Platinum for a New one But I don't think so. I can NOT believe you can't get a V8 in the Platinum or King Ranch. 😢 I'm even considering the GMC
You can get the 5.0 v8 in All the new f150 models
The Ford gets 9mpg better!?! That's huge
I thought you left Utah????

I like the Ford, think it's a nicer looking truck.
It is! I have had GM trucks since the 80s but I HATE the last re-design they did in 2019. Not sure what they were thinking. Just ordered a Ford.
@@trevorn9381 Also I think the Ford has a sleeker looking front end, the GMC front end is more in your face look!
GMC needs the dark chrome everywhere ... pretty tacky having dark chrome and bright chrome all over the place
Ford is better always
Ford all the way
Honestly it looks like GM took a lot of design cues from the 2017 Ford F150 platinum with the brown interior.
Should be Ultimate vs. Limited
They discontinued the limited. We have one. Honestly no real difference between the limited and platinum plus.
2024 ford f150 platinum
Both better than Ram
Both trucks find looking trucks
The Denali ultimate🔥 just wish they offered it with a 5.3!
GMC 👍 too many Recalls on Fords .
That’s Andrew Tate’s top 10 cheapest vehicle 🤯🤯
Stay with GMC better than Ford Dodge

Ben you need to see a barber.
8 years straight ' ford lariat , best trims for less budget - ford platinum if you got extra momey
Excellent trucks
Ford is better ❤

I agree, but the price on all three is just ridiculous.
I’m in the market for a higher trim level and man do these prices drive me away.

Ram is not better then Ford Ram is better then GMC
Someone lied to you lol. Ram doesn’t even compare to these
GMC will always be a better truck than a Ford it's a proven fact!
Ben!

Jesus man, I love your videos but the intro's are crazy. Slow down when you talk lol
Nahh 80K without a V8 is eww
Hi
The Denali design doesn't flow well at all. Those wheel wells are very peculiar looking.
Ford no brainer
6.2l chevy is a pos. Fact.
Ford trucks are overrated.
I don't really like either of these.
The so called black chrome on the grill and no where else on the gmc makes it look cheap. The ford is not much better
comparing a top of the line GMC to a Ford is like comparing a Fiat to a Maserati
Can ford best gmc lol. What you smoking now
The Ford platinum plus just appeals to me better
Overpriced over complicated. Not trucks anymore.
Get a base model if that’s your concern
