And my guess is that after the second world war he decided to retire and found his way to UK, where he meets up with bulldog and the Autobot lieutenant

TLK had so many interesting concepts, I wish they had been explored, instead of the tangled plot we got in the end. Hot Rod was a pretty cool character though, and I always wondered why he never helped Optimus' team if he was on earth the entire time.

I think he’s a mostly wasted character. I think the original idea was to make a bumblebee 2.0 a similar design of mouth a speak in-pediment A generally similar body honestly he doesn’t really have that much that making him look like hot rot to be fair. The bur already has a history of rated signing characters to the point they don’t resemble the original self at all.
Also, I personally like to believe that Vivian’s father held on to Hot Rod and kept him in some sort of garage, with a left wish to pass Hot Rod on to Vivian if something happened to him, which seems to have happened, since other than flashbacks, he does not appear in the film.
Idea: Why optimus always shows up late in the fight. For example TF1vs megatron, TF3 vs sentinal, TF5 vs infernomacus Where he went? What was he doing? Why appear so late?
well in tf3 he was stuck in those cables and needed the wreckers to free him before he could do anything and in tf1 he had fallen off the bridge fighting bonecrusher and had to take a different route
8:18 the weapons hot rod was wielding were actually tonfa and sai, tonfas are basically batons but wielded differently while sai are dagger like weapons with three sharp point blades,with the middle one being the sharpest and longest while the other two being short and much blunter. Which is funny consider the fact that hot rod never used those kind of weapons during g1.
That kibble part was something that confused me a bit as well but I just left it in my head that at one point Bee and Hotrod were triple changers but they abandoned triple changing because because they want their robot modes to look clean and sleek to varying degrees of success
I like to think how Vivian got Hot Rod as her car was by her Father giving him to her, basically a Hand me down. It is said that Hot Rod swore and oath to Vivian’s father that he would protect her so it would make sense that Hot Rod was given to her by her Father
For his time gun I saw a perfect fanfic story where some of the transformers series react to the Bayverse. In there Alpha Trion says the weapon belonged to Vector Prime and somehow Hot Rod got into one of his vaults
since Vector Prime knows about everything in the past present or future, he probably let Hotrod getting the time gun because he knew Hot Rod will be Optimus' successor

I like to think that the vehicles that both Bumblebee and Hot Rod briefly used in the World War II were just temporary vehicle modes and when they transformed, the two Autobots instantly reverted back to their preferred military vehicles.

I have a theory on the vehicle modes and why they are different form their robot modes. My theory is that maybe hot rod and bumblebee scanned 2 vehicle mods but I doubt it since they later one use one vehicle mod but I believe so since this also applies to drift having a Bugatti veyron and a helicopter in AOE. But in TLK he ditches the helicopter and instead just scans a Mercedes GTR 2017. That’s my theory but let me know if you guys have a better one

The misunderstanding is likely due to them sharing a common robot body type. I am suggesting this theory in hopes that it would reconcile the comics and other tie-in media to the films. In case you are unfamiliar, Centurion is a Maximal from the Generation 1 comics published by IDW from 2005 until 2018. In the Revolutionaries series, it is stated that Centurion suffered amnesia when arriving on Earth and was reprogrammed into a duplicate of Bumblebee.

To me, Bumblebee and Hot Rod's alternate parts is right there all along. If you remember the Bumblebee movie from 2018, the Decepticons Dropkick and Scatter have two alt forms.

Nice video. In the reboot, what I like to happen is if he returns I kinda want him to have his G1 design but have the gun that slows time from the bayverse. The reason is while the reboot is largely G1 based, there are hints from the Bayformer like Bee lose his voice and had similar face and face mask. This is why while he's likely going to be in he's G1 form in the reboot at least give him something from the bayverse at least for a little as a Easter egg like the gun he had that slows time inside the bubble
I may not like most of the bay verse designs, but I like that they made Hot Rod a modern Lamborghini, as he was, or at least based around, a Lamborghini countach back in the 1986 when he was first introduced

To me, Bumblebee and Hot Rod's alternate parts is right there all along. If you remember the Bumblebee movie from 2018, the Decepticons Dropkick and Scatter have two alt forms.

Nice video. In the reboot, what I like to happen is if he returns I kinda want him to have his G1 design but have the gun that slows time from the bayverse. The reason is while the reboot is largely G1 based, there are hints from the Bayformer like Bee lose his voice and had similar face and face mask. This is why while he's likely going to be in he's G1 form in the reboot at least give him something from the bayverse at least for a little as a Easter egg like the gun he had that slows time inside the bubble

I may not like most of the bay verse designs, but I like that they made Hot Rod a modern Lamborghini, as he was, or at least based around, a Lamborghini countach back in the 1986 when he was first introduced
