Bizzarre that Idrive 8 is being released now which, as usual, isn't compatible with previous versions. Idrive 9 is coming out shortly in the x1, at least I heard that it is. I love to hear how responsive the voice interface is with idrive8. Idrive7 is pathetically slow to the point that I use it as little as possible
@@DenverBMW My local geniuses didn't inform me of that. I've checked the shortened responses box. Is there more I can do? I was told by the local guys, that "Yeah, it's just slow" Slow is an understatement
@@DenverBMW I've had BMW since BMW couldn't get their head around having an adjustable steering columns. The owner manual used to have an eloborate dissertatoin on how to adust the seating postion for the steering wheel. I think I remember that in my 325 manual. Then of couse there was the 1st iteration of idrive which was , at it turns, out only marginally worse than Idrive7
I'd like to know who all these "guys" these people are talking to. No matter what UA-cam site you go to, it's the same guys...rare coin channels, medical channels; it's always the same "guys." Do ANY women watch UA-cam????
@@alexanderbrik1831 BMW with through design issues a few years ago with the Bangle Butt, All BMW are starting to look the same. The SUVs are insanely mundane.

Heated seats are standard. Vented seats are an option.

the speech input has improved. There are settings inside idrive7 that make the voice input faster.
