I love listening to legends troubleshooting and still in love with Jiu Jitsu.
This is a terrific example of how even a world-class black belt like Saulo can still learn and discover simple things in jiu-jitsu just by being humble and willing to learn. Love it!
This is amazing to watch, the technique, the smiles, the passion they show, the will to always learn new stuff, this is simply amazing
They are like little kids. I love it.
53 seconds in the vid = "aah I'm tappi". Made me chuckle. Real cool dudes.
amazing video! their energy makes me smile!!
genius! what a brilliant teacher! and with the great Saulo as well! :)
Great stuff guys! These are keepers!
Nossa que sinistro. Parabéns, anos e anos de experiência.
ABSURDO DE CONHECIMENTO !!! REALMENTE MESTRE ...TA AI A DIFERENÇA!
nada supera a sabedoria que o tempo e muito treino podem nos dar
Very sneaky wrist lock. Love it!!
poxa...que inveja...aprendendo diretamente do mestre....
I have trained in 7 Star praying mantis, Wing Chung Kung fu and Karate-do, however BJiu Jitsu is the ICING ON THE CAKE.......STILL CONSIDERING DOING JIU JITSU AT 56. WHAT ARE YOU THOUGHTS.
You should do. BJJ is very an very plastic art, so your background in wing chun, mighty give you an diferrent toolbox, and perspective about how bjj works for you. my brother had done wing chun and have a really nice grip fight undestand and keen eye . catch wrestling for myself is a huge influence on the way i see bjj, so you migthy not become a ´´regular bjj guy´´ but in reality, in bjj 2 athletes din´t had the same game. you really hope you have give BJJ a chance . and bring diversity and experience to the mat, your future team mates, and yourself will just got positive things on this experience. OSS
this was awesome
Great vid ! Wristlocks aren't allowed at white belt in IBJJF but I don't think Fabio Santos teaches according to IBJJF rules.
Old school rules!!!
TOP TOP TOP ! Obrigado Velhinho !!!
Excellent
Awesome 👍 techniques
Obrigado
Today I was all about this move! Mesmerizing *_*
@Morgan Avilla as far as saying it's a wristlock, I was just reading the title.
Now if you injure yourself because you don't let go, isn't it a sub ?
Excelente!!!!!
Máximo respeito. Oss!
brincando,se divertindo E alto astral...o jiu jitsu ja bom assim fica melhor ainda..OSS MESTRES
I actually learned this as a blue belt. Its sneaky, it gives you control and it does work (the whole trapping the arm set up).
If you do this as a blue belt, I'd be pissed. I almost broke my wrist when blue belt did this to me. It's impressive but I couldn't train for 3 months because of it. Didn't know that he would be that careless.
+dmjdmj yes, I agree, now that Im purple belt, I wouldn't teach this shit to anyone below purple. Its just an accident waiting to happen
beastie and niceyy wrist lock.
yay wristlocks, the old man's game.
Nice intro music, DOOOOM!
He is extremely technical
great
Excellent!!! Pure, sneaky jiu jitsu.
0: 53 "hhaaaaaa i'm tapping" hfusahfusahufhasuh...
Sensacional. Obrigado pelo conhecimento.
Круто, первый раз вижу обладателя кораллового пояса.
Love it! +!K Thumbs up
Boa
It's Saulo Ribeiro.
what's that tune at the end?
its Thats That by DOOM off of his Born Like This album. the opening track is also by the same guy called Doomsday off his debut album Operation Doomsday. both dope tracks
This is not a wrist lock it is an effective grip break. The bottom guy has the choice to hang on & hurt himself or let go of the lapel and avoid any damage. In BJJ many positions offer harm to someone who does not let go of a grip when being over powered, but it is never call a sub if there injured while being forced to let go. It is legal in all levels in IBJJF.
I think everyone will listen to the 7th degree black belt over you the UA-cam commenter. No offense.
I have trained with proteges of Fabio Santos, as disciplined as Gracies and charismatic as true martial artists. Check out Mandrill Academy on your way to Jackson Hole👍
exactly.. hes teaching for self defence which is more important than IBJJF rules put together
If it locks the writs, it's a wrist lock. If he taps, you win.
But is that even technically a "wristlock?" I mean, top guy just shifts his body forward; it's not his fault if the bottom guy's wrist is in a bad position.
That would be my argument to the judge anyway.
There's no judge in jiu jitsu
As long as you don't use it as a submission and the guy doesn't tap, it is technically legal.
This is perfectly legal at white belt provided your opponent doesn't tap. Use this as an encouragement for your opponent to let go of that whizzer.
How much do I need to pay to get this video off UA-cam?
...
>_>
you need to remove this video, the overhook is a big part of my game !!!!!!! :)
have some respect for Christs sake, is that too much to ask?
