I am from one of his gyms in Connecticut and i can tell you from experience Marcio has mastered every aspect of Jiu Jitsu it is an Honor to be in his gym. True Legend!!
@@ramirospinelli6453 apparently you don t know Aikido, there are techniques on the knees and even submissions on the ground. And Aikido came from japanese jujutsu too. But aikidokas are wristlocks experts and all those moves are very basic for a competent aikidoka. I dare you to find a Jiu Jitsu academy that teaches wristlocks.
@Danielfgs please don't! the point things have reached now, if no aikido expert comes to the mma scene and proove he can wrist lock the shit out of good fighters arms in a real cage fight, we shouldn't praise aikido too much. there is just zero credibility for the moment..
It's Practical for sport bjj. In an MMA or self defense context you should be trying to sweep or shrimping out and using a knee shield to make distance so you can get up.

Its very nice to see Akido in Jiu Jitsu
Wrist locks come from japanease jujutsu, there where not invented by aikidokas, and were always a part of bjj. Aikido deals with standing oponents.
