Besides the game being beautiful, playing smoothly, the thing that I can't get over is the sound design. It's wild what a different it makes to be more atmospheric!

LOL I was watching someone else's First Look video about this game and saw Kora in the footage, so I take some of the AC youtubers got to try this game out hmm? FYI, the channel I was checking out was one focus on Cozy games in general. I plan on getting this game, but waiting for the Switch version since I find playing games like this on my PC don't work as well because there's always a lag.

Great video though Wilbo and be nice to Kora, sheesh lol. Are you going to romance any of the eligible chars? That's one thing that gets me interested in these types of games now.

@@WilbosWorld Oh yeah I do like her design. Being a straight female though I am looking at the guys lol. But yeah I just watched Kora's video. I hope y'all have fun playing together. I wonder if for the multiplayer part if similar to AC you can have a server with just you and your friends. I just hope that part will run smoothly for me since my internet connection isn't the greatest (like half of the time when playing anything online w/ others, I've lost my connection).

Imho, the potential of Palia is not what you already see in beta. All these are just features of the game that every other similar game already have or will copy over. Its potential lies in its live service game which will get update with new event and items and game play continuously. What are those updates, new content, new items, new gameplay is what make or break this game. This is the pros.
The cons of this game is quite plenty imho. First the design cater for inconvenience. It is quite 'tedious' to play this game starting from traveling. Though there are teleport stable scattered around, but it cost money to use them. The teleport to home is free though but on a 30 min timer. They could have make the stable teleport free and no cooldown for home teleport, but they did not. So it is obvious they want to make this game inconvenient to play. Other game do it to monetarize convenience, but since Palia did not monetarize it, I wonder why they blindly copy other game in this respect.

Never heard of the game until now. I like cozy but I've yet to find the game with the right balance of cozy and combat/action

Yes! However, the beta doesn’t have full controller support right now (coming very soon). I was able to get my Xbox one controller working though
this game reminds me an awful lot to Free Realms

Hi! No word on a Steam release yet, but it will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch release date is Holiday 2023. Sorry for not mentioning that!

They just released it on Epic, too, around the end of October. I just installed it yesterday, I'll try it out after I get over Drake Hollow.

Those running and walking animations are pretty rough...
Yea.. the motion animation is not the best in the industry because this is not a fighting action game. Therefore it is not the emphasis of this game. Those who are upset about this obviously have chosen the wrong game to play. Palia is not for everyone. It is quite a niche game for those who are not looking to go anywhere.
