My number one tip, is to always look at what you can control. As an ultra 4 player, i still find holes in my game that I can fix. I can easily blame an incompetent teamate, but sometimes I am that incompetent teamate. Great work as always.
This is the best advice. Even when a game just goes horribly you can always have an impact. I definitely try to do way too much sometimes especially in that all important final 2 minutes.
I finally hit Veteran after resigning myself to this concept. In Solo Q it's all about adaptability. I'm pretty much a decent jack of all trades player aside from support role
@@mikegg4500 ultra gets worse 😔 lost 5 ultra in a row to teammates auto attacking zapdos, only to be stolen every time.
@@proxyg4884 Sheeeeeeeesh. Yeah for some reason people i get on my teams love starting Zapdos when we're ahead only to get wiped and it being stolen. Also people ahead don't realize oh they got Zapdos soo we might as well all try to score as well while they're busy then send most back to defend while 2 try to farm close mons and get small scores in. Have won games by like 6 points doing this
Sadly this only works if your team is already ahead by a solid amount and even then you just barely win. Idk just gonna stay stronk and see how high I can get for the first season 😀
I'm honestly baffled by the amount of players who don't give a f*ck about going for drednaw, I usually just keep spying the enemy to see if I can steal their Drednaw since apparently my team always ignore it.
Have def won a few games stealing Drednaw.
Salute!
I admit that I used to be this way, since I didn't know Drednaw gave xp to your whole team. I thought it was literally just a small shield for the team, so I'd prioritize Rotom (though Rotom can even be stopped entirely sometimes, which I also learned)
Oh I didn’t know drednaw gave your team Xp
TBF some are still recovering or trying to defend their goals.
One mistake that I make a lot (because I suck), is trying too hard to retake a lane. If you are getting destroyed in lane by being underlevelled, farm some Pokémon and get some exp. Letting the enemy score for free isn’t great, but you aren’t helping at all by being stomped by the other team, so it’s worth it.
I can related to this haha I make the same mistake as well lol getting better with leaving it alone for few and letting the enemy score for free. Once zoned in though I m stuck trying to take out 3 pokemon while my support is no where to be seen lol
What people don’t understand is that it’s ok to let your opponent score. You have 10 minutes to win and your opponent doesn’t win instantly by scoring 50 pts. I don’t even try to score until the end unless I’ve cleared a lane I don’t score.
@@THGMR-ox7sd no, you suck yourr obviously think scoring is a priority when it isn’t. You probably a low ranking player. There’s a reason why your enemies are over leveled because you’re prioritizing scoring. The game is simple, get as much exp as possible. The wild Pokémon is the set amount of exp you can get. You gotta gain a lvl advantage and snow ball it.
@@blowc1612 Yup I agree with the lvl advantage...level up before the enemy. I lost multiple times before due to not leveling up enough or before the enemy
It also isn't necessarily a bad thing if you lose the first base of your lane since it gives you easy access to 2-3 Audinos and the occasional bee crowd closer to your side to farm exp. Just make sure to deny enemy team that access.
It’s just crazy how much depth this deceptively simple game actually has like idk about you guys but I literally downloaded this game as a joke but now I am hooked :/
exactly the same
That's a MOBA for you
I only downloaded it early so I can get the Zeraora bonus . Didn’t think I’d actually play , 2 weeks later it’s all I do after work
That's one of the ways the game gets ya. ;P
I almost never played it but it is great second to my favorite smite.
The best tip for almost ANY game ranked is to TAKE BREAKS. Seriously, don’t play for hours on end and take a break ESPECIALLY if you are on a lose streak or are playing super tilted. If you are on a win streak sure keep on keeping on but seriously take breaks. The longer you play, the more burnt out you start getting, and the more mistakes you make. That goes double for playing agrivated
Thank you! I've been playing this game since morning to midnight and I'm stuck at veteran class 4. I notice I never take breaks, so this is helpful.
Update: I was so close to class 5 but my friend kept wanting to do more battles so I couldnt get a break in between lol. Dropped down to class 4 with 2 diamonds. Still making great progress!
Update 2: Currently ultra class 1! I'm gonna take a break from ranked matches, as I always do. Its gonna be a long break, I'm currently trying to get Blissey with standard matches!
Yessss. Every time i have a lose streak i get so frustrated so i just step away for a few hours and come back to it and go on a winning streak. Always good to cleanse and clear the mind lol
True. Nothing worse than feeling like you’re losing progress in the rankings after a long gaming session. I get desperate for a win at any cost, and I end up playing worse. But somehow I think it’s my team’s fault. Haha.
Nah friend I live for the bot stomps when I’m loss streak, mellows me out even if I find it condescending.
Yeah I was Veteran 5 and me and my friend started playing and out of like 7 games we won 1, maybe 2 and I dropped back to Veteran 3. So we both decided to take a break and grab a bite to eat. Now I’m smoking to get my mind right then we gonna give it another go. Breaks are DEFINITELY needed!
My biggest problem with the "filling the role" tip, is that when i usually do not pick an attacker and go with defender, it ends up being someone who really doesn't know how to play it, 90 percent of the time. At the point I get stuck with someone who feeds and just goes bot the moment he feels like it. It's not even funny anymore the amount of times that happens.
Play critsle or eldegod and be the attacker regardless. Also all-rounders exist. PICK THEM BOIIIIIS
Play Greedent
Don't ever fill just pick an attacker and carry it's the easiest way to solo to masters.
I suggest cinderace and if you're good with positioning duraludon
Same i can feel your pain as well. I play support most of the time coz there will always be teammates who will always pick attackers neglecting to pick a tank. 😔
"partner up with anyone"
*cries in 1 afk every other game, leavers and objective-ignorers*
I had two afk teammates but my other two were good and we managed to win by a load
@@innesbi i got 2 afk
@@innesbi i mean 3
Not going for Drednaw and pushing Zapdos like a moron are the two most common things i see, it's incredibly frustrating. Currently Vet 3 and honestly if i just manage to hit Ultra i'd be satisfied.
im in masters and im telling you now people dont get smarter and the game stays just as rage inducing ive stopped playing ranked all together and now I just play the quick mode unless im doing weekly challenges
@@jordan.z.m Even just getting to Veteran i could tell man lol, noticed literally zero improvement. Just luck of the draw on who you get in solo but you'd think they're around the same rank and wouldn't make amateur mistakes so it's baffling.
dude i keep pinging "gather here" at drednaw and top lane doesnt come down. and when people try to hit zapdos when we are winning / trying to SOLO zapdos i get so tilted
@@jordan.z.m I agree with you I am also in master rank solo q my way to it and they is not much different in players quality then I would say veteran or ultra
@@YukiMisa player on the winning team trying to solo zapdos only for it to be stolen by enemy team is such a frustrating thing.
I find a lot of these tipps really basic... A good tipp would be to not try to take the second bottom goal of the enemy after you won Drednaw. All enemies will be back super quick and jump on you one after another. This never goes well. After drednaw just clear the enemy jungle and go top to rotom.
yet go to solo ranked and see how much tips from this video are followed by your teammates
@@Naito9874 painfuly true
Yeah he mentioned that in another video.
This is probably the best tip. i hate to see players do this. the best move after ganging up on the first goal of the bottom lane is moving the whole team to the top and just completely overwhelm the enemy
Basic......?? Oh right cool.... Its funny how most people won't do any of these "basic" things...then I'm losing my game because of them...
As a supporter who always goes bottom, the tip about picking an attacker and going top makes so much sense. No one ever rotates to Drednaw, so why not just do it myself!
When you use battle prep it tells you to go to top if you use an attacker 😐😐😐😐😐 please use battle prep.
@@snaildude268 Lucario is recommended for bottom, yet top teams make him go solo at top lane. Sometimes their recommended lane isn't actually their recommended lane at all.
I never saw myself playing a MOBA and this game has me addicted. Could be that i've been a Pokemon fan my whole life so im biased.
Same here, I never managed to get into any kind of Moba but I think Unite is easy to get into and the matches aren‘t too long.
Exactly the same for me lol I’ve played a few other MOBAs but always stop playing after a week. I’m addicted now to Unite 😬
Pokemon naturally works 10X better as a Moba
It was always a really piss-poor RPG that got carried by a strong concept
Same dude dislike most Mobos but I'm hooked lol
That's me. I play the traditional competitive Pokemon for years and never had any interest in a moba game, and now I'm stuck on this lol
I remember i clutched a very badly losing ranked match by stealing zapdos as gengar, i was the only one on my team at zapdos because was on spawn timer, that great feeling when me and my whole team got 50 points each and successfully won was legendary. It just proves how important zapdos is!
Your content is great, but what keeps me coming back is your humor, your little asides, and just how chill you and the majority of other Unite CCs are. It really unites all my interests. Oh nononONONONO
*POKEMON UNITE*
So I started watching you yesterday and it has really helped me. I played since it came out and I had been stuck playing in great class and I always feel like my team is just picking attackers and speedsters, but hopefully with this help I might get out of great class and play with people who actually now what to do.
Recently subbed. Love the content and commentary. Learned to play the game overall from you currently sitting on ultra 3. Thanks for all the tips!
In my way to Master!
This is the first moba I have played, right now I'm Ultra class 1, it is way more that I would expected. Thanks for your tips, I'm sure I reached that far due to follow them.
Heya! Just wanna drop by before I watch & thank you for your videos! They're super helpful and made playing unite way more fun. Like when I first started I really didn't like playing slowbro 'cuz he was slow and I had no idea what to do with him, but now if I can't get my darling babie Zera, I'll go with slowbro, especially if we're missing a defender & I'm having a lot of fun with him ^^
That’s awesome
On 8, you slam Zapdos after winning the fight so they don't retake it with 30 secs and make a mad dash for your towers. Would extend this to Rotom if you're winning top lane first so enemy team is busy while you rotate to bot lane + exp boost.
Ever since Wigglytuff got buffed, I’ve been winning so many times and I’m dying less often, I like playing the characters that mess with people like adding status effects and stuff, honestly I actually find Expert way easier than Beginner and Great because my teammates are actually pretty decent when it comes to skill, I’m slowly getting myself to veteran and I’m getting more invested since games are getting pretty close when it comes to score…….well there was this one time my team managed to get over 1100 points, which ain’t insane but still amazing, we just got really really lucky that round since we managed to snag Zapdos before the opposing team could steal our kill
Yes, please fill roles! I hate being a support among 1 all rounder jungling and 3 attackers. I shouldn't be getting the most kills, points, and plays (Dreadnaw/Rotom steals) as Blissey 😭
I been watching your videos and they have helped me out a lot. Thanks for making these because they've been super helpful.
Awesome video! Really exciting. Thanks a lot!
hey! just wanted to say your content has been extremely helpful and ive climbed much easier after all of it, i found u in one of my matches recently and added you. keep up the good work man
Awesome!
I wish I could find him so he can carry me to Master lol
Hey Jake! Little suggestion for future videos : Tips and strategies about the 3 small maps in quick match. I like those maps and would enjoy your thoughts on it! Keep the good work and I hope I’ll get an auto-chess video soon ;) thnx
Love it thanks seb
Favorite Pokémon Unite UA-camr right here 👍 All the best tips and advise! Very fun videos to watch too
Enjoying all the content! Thanks, cowboy!
Glad you like it!!
Thank you soo much for your video. I got to Masters today and your info really helped me out. Ty
Apologies if this has already been done, but i think an update to this video would be really useful especially with the new map and difference mechanics that came with the new map
Great content, great tips, and you're funny as heck, dude. Keep it up!
Hey man, I know it may not be the most requested thing in the world, but I'd love to see guides for the other mons you didn't cover yet, like absol or mr mime. I don't have a switch but I'm following your material to learn the game for when I eventually get to play it^^
Really good tips! Thank you very much
haha love your energy throughout the video! lol
8:35 You got me. I laughed pretty hard at this one haha
I always can get into Expert rank than I lose it right away and I am getting tired of losing it, but now I think I am finally doing a little better with certain Pokemon is best to play with.
Okay lmao having watched a few of your videos now, I am almost certain that you slow down your audio to extend video length! Your 2x video speed is about usually what normal videos sound like at 1.5x~1.75x... Smart strategy for the ad rev. Not complaining lol I just will have to watch all of your vids at 2x!
I found myself saying yeehaw out loud at the same time as you do in your videos, and it was very satisfying to do so.
Everytime I ever play support or defender, my lane partner always seem to leave whenever we actually reach lane after the apoms and go down bot or just stay in the center of the map
Great tips. 👍 Off subject, has anyone said you remind them of Paul Rudd on the mic?
I'm learning a lot! Thanks!
Could you maybe do a video about the mid to lategame? In the last few minutes I often don't know what to do depending on zapdos/ what mates are doing/ and If we're winning or losing
Great tips thanks alot, im a new subscriber ❤
Your tutorials really helps me alot compare to other tutorials I watched
yeeethaw thank you for these tips it works a lot
Solid tips, cheers!
I just love you and your videos. Yiiiha!
Last sentence got me lmao
Take my sub
I just feel like the holy grail of tips was find someone competent who got on youtube and watched a few videos...thanks for the refresher tho
It’s great you mention dred is very important to new players. I wonder if they will update rotom later to be just as important and provide even greater, different buffs.
*Yes*
Great vid 👍🏻
absolutely clownin my guy, keep it coming
😂 love the outro also great tips!
Woah your match in the first tip was with wallower!! He has a UA-cam channel too lol he plays Pokémon go PVP
Thanks for the tip 👍👍
Great tips!
Awesome tips bro 🥳🔥🤘🔥
it is funny hearing tip number 8 since its true tho, I was playing couple games and winning but always when I look at the mini map- it is always one person try to take Zapdos instead of trying to check from a bush if the enemy going for it, which breaks a fight making the other players go after the player dies from the enemy and they die behind him at the end of the game and it end up losing a whole lead game because of that.
1:31 is so true, so many times I see people “jungling” with toons that take forever to kill the mobs and end up missing out on other xp they could be getting or just being oblivious to the rest of the game as they jungle and end up being a level or two behind the rest of the team.
Great tips, some of them really wake me up
I just love your personality 😊
Biggest tip, the time of day you play. If you can play in the middle of they day or earlier in the day for your time zone you will win more games 💯
Don’t play after 10PM.
Noted: Play and Win against kids until the sun goes down and the tryhards wake up
@@TeKayPrime exaaaaactly lol
So true! All my win streaks happen during the day and lose streaks late at night.. coincidence? I think not!
@@chektek_ lmao strangely, it’s the opposite for me. I win more at night than day.
I guess it’s cause I get paired with the tryhards and they carry me 😂
I subscribed Hopefully Your upcoming videos won't Disappoint me ,Like this Tips Video was gr8💝
Been playing mobile since season 1 and since the begining i'm picking cinderace and every season i'm ending up being master rank.. great carry!
I am a really new player and I got vetern in a few weeks I don't play games like that but still I made it and it feels good keeping up. My grimd
Just installed a little over two weeks ago & The Untra grind is real. Thanks for the tips :]
This man on a next level dude i will get to master soon with him ❤️❤️
played a game with you earlier as cramorant, was a little suprised to see you there considering I was in a party with my friend (absol) who is in expert and I'm only veteran, so playing with and against masters was a little suprising
I’m guessing people get sorted like that when I’m in solo queue and so is another player of similar rank and they just put one on each team. Not sure.
I've played about 20 ranked games today and won around 45 percent of my matches due to teammates not doing dread or Zapdos fights. Solo que is hell and I'm Veteran Class 5. I just want to get to Ultra dude.
Same dude. I was one win away to ultra but went on a losing streak. It really is hell.
All were heartbreaking losses with teammates starting zapdos when they didnt have to
Add each other on discord and play a couple games a week together? Then we have a good advantage knowing at least one other person on the team won’t be until screwy things.
Every battle I have 6 medals because of this vid thx your a legend dude!
11:30
Imagine dueling an Alolan Ninetiles without using a Full Heal so you can walk at them without getting frozen. Couldn't be that Greninja, apparently.
I reached master in about a week and a half. Been a lifelong dota player till 2015 and coming back to this type of game in 2022, got the hang of it pretty easy. Of course, I lost about 40% of my games but being an MVP in 80% of my games helped maybe and also pokemon unite being a fun game to play yet is relatively very easy to rank up contributed a lot.
you are so funny and caring thank you for the video 👌🏼👍🏼👊🏼
nice vid!
i've been in ultra 5 for a week now haha everytime im about to hit master something happens
(like someone goes afk or we're very far ahead and my team decides to try and do zapdos anyway only to get it stolen) 😔🙏
edit: haha you actually mention it at 11:47 thanks bro maybe that will help people stop doing it 😂
I was teetering between ultra four and master for a little bit. Same kind of stuff but in the end consistent play will get you there.
I was Vet 5 and then right when I was gonna promo I had a Pikachu who just would not group at all. Then I just started losing. I even threw a bot game because I got greedy and overconfident.
Dude I get that afk. Last night I played a match and we were killing it. Until a random talonflame just went afk at the two minute mark allowing the enemy team to squeeze by to our main goal. I swear I was ticked when I saw we lost by 20 points.
I started the game week ago now I'm ultra 3 all coz of your tips mate thanks ❤️ love from India ❤️
5:59...aww yes Cinderace and Greninja...my two favorite Discharge victims...yum! Personally, Greninja has at least gotten me occasionally with a well placed Smokescreen, but Cinderace. Imo, my least favorite Champ, so nice and squishy!
I would love to see a spragels Livestream playing in Master rank/maybe play with viewers? 👉👈
Having to play roles you're not comfortable with (or worse don't have the held items for) is kin of a bummer, especially when you see the guy that took cinderace or greninja and they play like trash, knowing you play better than them but you can't impact as much if per say you're support or defender and the carry doesn't want to follow or teamfight.
Knowing that it's not unusual to see only all rounder, attackers and speedster team.
When someone takes Snorlax and we get into team fights and I see how awful they are after spamming I'll take the Defender role at the select screen trying to get them to switch off Snorlax. Thank God Cinderace is my backup main but fuck, just give me my damn Snorlax. That's what I get for playing solo though lol getting a five stack going or whatever just sounds like easy mode though which isn't very fun.
@@niko_pdx so true, 5 man must be so easy to reach master even if people are just half decent.
Playing solo is heartbreaking, the worse thing is when you manage to pick a role, lets say cinderace and you see someone else trying to pick greninja afterward which fills the same role ( true aswell with ninetales and most special attackers).
Drednaw tip is fax, went from Expert to Vet in a night with my boyfriend just by controlling that drednaw. Only 20% of games the other teams actually contested it.
Hahaha love this video, you’re a beauty
Im in Ultra right now... The grind can get crazy Im getting very angry teams that fight over jungle and try to Give up at first sign of trouble.
Yeah I’ve been running into that a lot . Someone will die 2-3 times in a lane to the same Pokémon and then just stop playing all together
Would you also recommend leaving the top lane for dreadnaw if you are a defender (at the top lane)?
Okay I have to subscribe soon for the humor alone
Had to take a small break from the grind. I was on a huge win streak, got to ultra 5 with no real problems and now just on a terrible lose streak. Need a mental breather lol. Been watching your Road to Masters with the worst pokemon and items videos to relax.
As an cinderace player who is pretty much a pro at using him, this video does put a smile on my face. Question tho i go jungle at the start and get to level 5 pretty much instantly and then instantly go to bot Lane since there is always 1-2 people at top lane, is this good cause this works out well for me 100% of the time
Fomr me tip number two and last tip are the most important! The amount of times i am winning a game and the team decides to go zapdos only to simply lose it and then the team scores feels awful!!
Alsoi agree with tip number 2 a lot since its what i have been doing, but then again its my experience from LoL.
For Drednaw its something i started to notice more recently and i have to agree with DX
That "No attackers? That's probably not gonna happen" really got me LOL
7:10 lucario looking too much funny 😂😂
You're the best john
11:33
I have a problem , I like you said sweeo the enemy team before zap but this only makes it so that they have a set timer and team up on us when our health is low
I usually end up filling for support which means I’m playing Eldegoss bottom lane. Which means often nobody cares that I’m pinging for dreadnaw. Do you think it’s better to play an attacker on top lane, e.g. Cinderace, and forgo a support character? At least then I can move to bottom to take out dreadnaw with the other bottom laners. Or is having that support character more important? I’m barely scraping 50% because it takes forever to gain a class level.
Same. Eldegoss bottom all the way, which means I am usually alone with 4 people losing the top lane (somehow)
Your tips are great n all but can you make tips on what to do if your teammates are trash
im vet 5 and never knew about drednaw or the double points at 2 mins and zapdos effect or the settings changes lol i just love pokemon and know MOBA style gameplay and spammed zeraora lol. thisll reeally help me push up!
The tutorial in the game is there for a reason...lol
@@cams.3746 yea but they don’t explain the significance of getting drednaw and zapdos for example. I read an article last week about how drednaw “isn’t worth getting” yet I’m ultra 3 now and everyone seems to know that drednaw is super important.
Ironically, at some point now that the game is older, I've had some matches where the team actually lock in any attackers and now I have to be the attacker
I love you spragels too. But I want to know how can I control garchomp's unite move and how can I win the match if my teammates are losing to them again and again and I'm only the scorer.?
Please answer the questions. 🙂🙂
The tactic I use with my friends. We always go: Talonflame, Zeraora, Lucario, Greninja, Charizard. We go Zeraora and Charizard on top and the rest on bottom. We get the dreadnaw, they get rotom, we get a goal zone and then 1 goes up while two stay down and then they get a goalpost. The one stays in middle and 2 on each. During zapdos 4 of us go get zapdos and a 4 people unite move combo while one gets a goal zone, then everyone goes mid and 2 each side 1 center strat. This gives pretty good teamwork 90% win rate and it doesnt have to be our pokemon any is fine depending on the playstyle. We go offensive, for defensive games we use Slowbro, Ninetales, Blastoise, Eldegoss and Zeraora or for all rounded games we just mix. It's not exactly a tactic but it's an easy way to win
What is the thing on the right showing the other team’s members when you’re playing as Ninetails?
I tried using all your 8 tips, yes it works, I tried my best and changed roles everytime. Yet I still lost 4 times in a row
Good video thumbs up. I have a tip, pick Lucario, he's so strong in master rank. I never win lane against good Lucario. What make this pokemon op imo is that He's super strong from early to end. He has cc immune, shield, movement ability and damage. He can solo 1v1 and can also contribute massively in team fights.
It’s true that Lucario is awesome
@@spragels as a lucario main i fully agree, especially since I started using extreme speed. I can hold points 1v3 mid game and 1v4 late game so that my teammates can join in and help me finish the enemy team off.
@@SleepyPitou I disagree, the power up punch and bone rush combo is better. But then again, basically every Lucario main has a different strat, and I've never seen you play.
@@asurveillancecamera3392 I think the mobility that extrremespeed gives you during teamfights is underrated. A good Lucario can position themselves midfight better than any other pokemon on the roster.
Agree that most of these are basic tips and should be common sense.. some of the better tips are: don’t kill drednaw when zapdos is about to spawn cause it reduces your teams damage to zapdos; the grass is your friend - you can use it to ambush the enemies or hide in when you want to score a goal but see some of the enemies lurking or about to spawn (for the middle goals); also, study the skills of the pokemons as they normally would have combi skills to be more effective like for example with gengar, you need to choose the combi of sludge bomb and hex in order to trigger the passive which brings me to another tip which is to maximize the use of your passive skills which is one thing most players would forget.. lastly, one tip that can be arguable (specially for solo gamers) is when your are paired up in a lane with a very incompetent player, i suggest that you switch to another lane cause it won’t do you or the team any good if the both of you keeps on dying and not able to farm.. just go back to that lane and help when you’ve leveled up and gotten stronger.. hope this helps..
Tip that improved my lower rank WRs a lot:
Don't pick for team comp. If you're a Cinderace main and the rest of your team picks 4 attackers, don't switch. Your comp sucks regardless and you need to carry, so swapping to a defender is usually a bad idea.
Also, if you're getting stomped in every fight, just afk farm to get your level a high as possible (really ideally 15) to make a comeback at rayquaza.
The jump in stats only gets larger with each level, with the difference between 14 + 15 being massive compared to the difference between 1+2. Being higher level for rayquaza is a massive factor in making comebacks
