- Bob Weir from The Grateful Dead joins Paul McCartney for the encore at Fenway Park. The Dead had played Fenway the night before this show, and Bob Weir was on hand to play with Paul.
What a thrill this must have been for Paul to be playing with such a legion!
Paul had nothing but love and inclusiveness for Bob. Beautiful.
Wow! Never knew that had happened. Hi Hi Hi is one of my (many) favorite Paul songs and I am always ecstatic when I go see him and that song makes it onto the set list. Gotta admit though Paul sounds like he was having a really rough day vocally by that point.
They’re both so stoned haha. Love it 🤟🏼
I was there, first live concert, an it was great!!
I want to hear Paul play bass at a Bobby show. I think Paul would fit in amazingly in a psychedelia/jam band setting.
I was at this show with my son. Rob Gronkowski from (then) the Patriots also came on stage to play air guitar and sing on Helter Skelter.
Love it: “The Grateful Beatles “!
Two legends. It's a shame they turned it into a circus letting Gronk come on stage for the next song.
It took so much away from having Bob on stage.
Gronk made it 3 legends, and the only shame is that anyone could possibly get upset over something so fun and happy and upbeat. It took away from nothing.
I think Gronk could have done without the air guitar.
old lads rockin the house -FAB!
Thank you so much for posting this. It really means alot to me.
Thanks so much for a complete version of this , with a nice closeup zoom at that!
2 of the best. What more can one ask for ?
That was fucking badass
La música lo puede todo!!!!! Me emociona mucho ver estos GRANDES juntos Si señor!!!!
I was there!!!!!!

Que belleza de talentos,
New band - "Dead Beatle"
D'OH !
With special guest Bob weir.
Thanks for posting this awesome video. I was there. Second row. Lost my phone the next day. Lost all my pics and videos :(
I was in the first row of section B and have a crappy video.
nobody ever did anything similar, happy and complex
BOB WEIR IS A GOD
It'd be fun to hear Dead & Co or JRAD do this.
FOR REAL
SWEET!
If they could have stretched it for just two more seconds, it would have been 4:20.
What the fuck is Bob playing?
Bob still not allowed to plug in....
Haha, McCartney's band didn't know what they had so they never heard his intricate rhythm work - their own guitarists never left space and just stomped all over him.
Bob seems to don't know the song lmao
I dont think they even turned his amp on...
I dont think Bob knows any songs.
too hi!
Weir probably knows more songs than anyone alive, short of Dylan or Willie Nelson maybe
He knew when he said at the end, "The Beatles Dead" he was admitting it. See the wink and the nod. See the look on his face. Nick "The Aussie" Reynolds. The fifth Paul; took it in 1998. RIP Paul 1966. Rock on Nick.
Midnight Sun=Jerry?
That was awkward
LOL
thank god they didn't give Bob the slide!
😁
not bad for 73 yrs old...
Not bad at all . Grandpa beatle still enjoys decadence . Nice .
Why Gronk? what a distraction, it would be one thing if he sang with Paul, at least! on the chorus! that sucked.
Why Gronk? Because they were playing at Fenway Park and Gronk is one of the most popular athletes in the Boston area. That's why. The crowd obviously loved having him there. I am from Boston so I know the crowd was excited to have him there on stage. It makes perfect sense. He is a local celebrity and he loves to party it up.
Awful.
I can't tell if he's just not trying because Paul didn't let him plug in or if he is just complete shit lol
Bob Weir doesn't know how to play guitar anymore
You noticed that too ? weird the way he was flipping his left hand off the fret board like that , I noticed that on another video I saw of him with Paul Simon
@@DJL-ms5xl i saw the Dead more than 50 times and Weir layed down a good rhythm for the band, but now he seems lost on guitar. I saw the video with Paul Simon. Weir had no clue what he was doing.
Dude what the fuck are you talking about. Bob weir is the most intricate rhythm guitar player out there. The loud blues shuffle isn’t his forte. Hell that isn’t the Grateful Deads forte either. 3 guitars one sliding like a mother fucker and another shuffling hard and loud. Yea where the fuck is Bobby gonna fall into that. But the man has only gotten better throughout the years and don’t deny that
@@kylecoughlin8040 i agree w you 100%
they are in their 70's dude like...LOL
